this is my favorite video on Mangroves so far! A topic that is interesting and relevant but that can be boring, was turned into a highly entertaining experience! I have have one problem with it: I want more!!!
I want these in my backyard, simply have a saltwater pond or even just dig an extension of a Marsh into my yard and just fence around the area, hoping the mangrove will grow into a beautiful fence that will divide my land, one side is the farm, the other is the leisure grounds.
Great video! Informative and entertaining. I didn't find the answer I needed, though. I'm translating an article that mentions indigenous peoples in the Caribbean eating the fruit of the red mangrove. Would that be the propagules or something else?
Is the water inside the leaf salty and if not, can you graft a tomato to it or a lime sprig to it? It would be a great way to farm while you’re fishing
Fascinating. Too bad Stephen Brown didn't expand more on the uses and value of mangroves... as nursery areas for fish, mollusks, invertebrates, etc., and at how valuable mangroves are at protecting the coastline, trapping sediment that would otherwise end up on coral reefs, etc. Great job otherwise.
