And to all non-brits watching this, there are soooooooo many more. For such a small place, there are loads of accents and dialects crammed in here. I have an East Midlands accent, and I love watching even fellow Brits trying to guess what it is that I'm saying when I'm Swaddie mode. Now, ah gorra bugger off. It's gooin a bit black owa ah Bill's motha's...

Gary Wilson but they all sound the same to non-brits mate. At uni most foreign friends could distinguish between mumbling and non-mumbling. That is about it. As a Brit I tend to agree. Most Brits speak awful nowadays, just one long list of glottal stops.

There is no such thing as the 'British accent'. There are instead several scores of entirely different accents within the UK and the British Isles, none of which are ever referred to as 'British' - except by Americans.

I wonder who is here because of our English linguistic classes in English major like me after the teacher showed us this video ~ I can't be the only here who is a French student majoring in English studies, right ?

Thanks made me giggle to myself pretty accurate, but the Brummie sounded more like Liverpudlian Scouse to me. The Liverpool accent is beyond my ability to mimic the nearest i get is Brummie. To me the iverpudlian accent from a real Scouser sounds very guttural and rather Germanic Afrikaans has a simiar sound to it with its guttural element. Anyway whats not to love about accents they are a cornucopia of fascination.

Scouse accent was more a Jamie Carragher impersonation than simply scouse lol

+Rene Lentino you're absolutely right! There's a bit of the cockney accent on this episode here, though: ruclips.net/video/d6400gR-Qxc/видео.html The UK has so many accents we need a one hour video to cover them all...
