What is not to love about Loreli Sims,if her smile doesn't get you ,then her personality will ,for sure . Everyone of the craftspeople that Eric has met with are in a rare class of people. Thank you ,Eric for bringing them into our homes.
As an academic who 10 years ago moved into the world of carpentry, I really like the whole series. But this episode, where you, as an interviewee who is willing to reveal your weaknesses, is for me the diamond in the crown. When I had anxiety attacks, I discovered that the ability to talk about them and not hide them and my willingness to be weak in the immediate family - these are the things that strengthened me and helped me a lot.
i really love this show thanks for sharing your perspective and story. Craftsman have changed the world so much and it's great to see you keeping the artistry and dream alive.
Man, I respect the fact that you do these hands on craft works. I too am addicted to motorcycles, but my new found love is working on a wood lathe for the last 3 years. I can relate to some of your story, and it was awesome to hear. I love your content brother.
Hi Eric aka Big Daddy! I hadn’t seen this episode (doing my best to catch up from the beginning) That was fun watching you teach a Master your craft and you could see in her eyes she was thrilled to learn something new and different. I’m sure Buddy and miss Chase kept an eye on you as not to embarrass them 😊 I was hoping it would end with you frozen with your hammer on the metal and the screen shot turns sepia tone ( I like those endings of the Craftsmen Legacy….Kinda 70s Old school)
I am a huge fan of this show watching all of those different Craftsmen and artists and the skills from which they possess really fascinates me thank you
I love every episode of A Craftsmans Legacy, but this one is by far my favorite. It was great to see you on "the other side" of the interview. You sir are an artist and a craftsman! I truly admire your courage and skill. Making is important, especially in today's crazy world. It helps keep me grounded. These episodes always inspire me! Thanks Eric! By the way, do you do your own pinstriping?
I've definitely been inspired by this show. There have been several episodes where I have gone on to try new skills and learnt something I will use for the rest of my life.
BRAVO! Such a great video. I have been following Lorelei for years and even met her at an ABANA conference. Eric your story hits close to home for me too. Thank you for sharing.
Great show, I've watched your episodes for quite a while now. You are without a doubt, are indeed a wonderful inspiration. Keep up the great work, and GOD BLESS YOU and yours. ♥️
Thank you for making a very well produced video. The thing that is lacking is eye protection. I would appreciate your comments on why you or anyone of your viewers would not think that eye protection is required in the shop. Safety glasses and ear plugs at all times!
Thank you for the kind words. I wear eye protection when I'm doing something that requires them. It's like many things in life, a personal decision. I appreciate the discussion though.
I love your show. I just found it and have been binge watching it since. If your legacy is to inspire people... Well, you already have. Thanks for your work 👏👏👏
I love watching all of your episodes. I always wondered about your story and was thrilled to see that you are the focus of this episode. Thank you for sharing your story and getting personal. I recently started having panic attacks and found your story inspirational. I am a jewelry maker, not sure I’d use the word artist and find the focus of working metals helpful with it. Again, thanks for exposing us to all of the wonderful makers out there. Crafters and their handmade works have always intrigued me since childhood. Thank you! I look forward to seeing more. G-d bless.
I really enjoy your show; the craftsmen, artists, and yourself are so laidback and comfortable with their work, it makes learning a pleasure. Like Swamp Fox (below) it also keeps me grounded. Thank you.
Outstanding video. Truly have enjoyed this series, need to support crafts as they are fading. I have done some metal forming with 6061T0 using a hammer alone, then watched some craftsmen at the Oshkosh airshow do the same work on a wheel. I fell in love with wheeling right then.
I had been saving this one for when I actually had time to Enjoy it. And after watching it, I REALLY DID ENJOY IT. HAPPY NEW YEAR ERIC.😎🇺🇸 I work sheet metal for AC and heat system installation. (Ductwork) . Not even close to what you do.
Great video. This is the first time I have seen your channel. I do metal and wood working also. I love hammering the metal and using the wheel also. You are only limited to your imagination. Lucinda Basset has a great program you can get to use at home for the anxiety. It really helps to deal with it and get over it quicker whenever it happens. I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing with us. Dan
I purchased several of Ron's books back in the '70s -- now I need to see if I can still find them! Lorelei's skills as a Blacksmith gave/gives her the ability to quickly pick up some of the skills Eric was sharing, but also because he's a good teacher too. Episodes like this are why I _immediately_ subscribed to this channel back when I first discovered it! ;)
Yeah I have Metal Fabricator's Handbook and Sheet Metal Handbook. Ron was a God to me and my buddy when we were young aspiring hot rodders, we couldn't believe how he could have such amazing skills. It was really great to hear about him again here with Eric.
The English wheel is so kool. I've watched the English do metal spinning. As a metal worker you'd really appreciate it and sadly it's a dying art form of craftsmanship. Really incredible to see
Hi Eric......Don't know if you are still tracking comments on your older episodes? ..I only just recently picked up on your channel. Trying to catch up on the episodes.........Just thought it worth commenting on this one ...especially your personal comments at the beginning....extremely honest...👍👍👍..... Great videos BTW.....

i really love this show thanks for sharing your perspective and story. Craftsman have changed the world so much and it's great to see you keeping the artistry and dream alive.

I love seeing all the Craftsmen you interviewed. I do all kinds of yarn work, painting, drawing. You inspire many.
I am inspired by the show - Thanks for your vision, and drive. Because of you Craftsman and artist across the world know they are not alone.
One of my favorite shows…….thank you brother 😎
Thank you, Patrick.
Wonderful to see the warmth and skill you both love sharing with eachother, made me smile the entire time! You and Lorelei are for real❤️🔥

Love how keen she is to get into it. Obviously very passionate.

Full respect to you both . Your skills and knowledge are extremely inspirational. Thank you for sharing your story.
What a treat to see the Craftsman who usually does the interview BE interviewed. Well done Eric!
Awesome video. It was fantastic to see the man behind the scene in his element. Well done Eric.
Learned more about the English wheel and metal forming. Thanks for another great episode.
This is one of my favorite episodes. It was nice to get to know you better and nice to see a fellow Michigander succeed.
I've definitely been inspired by this show. There have been several episodes where I have gone on to try new skills and learnt something I will use for the rest of my life.
I bought Ron's book a long time ago and treat it like a bible. Still building bikes and cars at 71!
BRAVO! Such a great video. I have been following Lorelei for years and even met her at an ABANA conference. Eric your story hits close to home for me too. Thank you for sharing.

So enjoyed this show! Seeing all the steps to shaping the metal/fenders shows your craftmanship. What an inspiration.
