It's actually the best scene and villain death in the entire existance of filmography! In my opinion. It gives me goosebumps every time I watch it, it's never lost its touch.
Man, the main reason I got SoT is because of pirates of the caribbean, and uh, I was hoping that this happens and that it doesn't happen (because of this scene)
This has happened, i kid you not, a Black Pearl ship set galleon and a Flying Dutchman ship galleon did this. Sure i had to talk them into it, but it was funny
Powerful scene. I love the fact that Beckett just accepts that he is going to die and the way he says his final line and walks down the stairs with the destruction around him and everything is in slow motion with the music as well makes it epic. One of the best moments of Pirates of the Caribbean.

He's a brilliant strategist that is exceptionally good at staying ahead of his opponents, but he can't process when something doesn't go according to plan. He could have easily sunk the pearl and damaged the Dutchman there if he told his crew to fire

Am I the only one who is severely annoyed by the fact they cut the Davey Jones theme snippet short for the soundtrack release? That has bothered me ever since.
They didn't cut it, they just used the alternate version for some reason. But still, there are so many highlights missing in the album, reason enough for me to avoid it.

This song keeps somehow getting reintroduced to me everytime I realize my marriage is failing and will end in divorce. Twice now this has occurred. Its depressing, but I can't not feel how Becket felt as his world died around him.
