I can't listen to this without feeling sad. My best friend and I were supposed to see Com Truise in May. My best friend died two weeks before the show.
Recently about 2 days ago, i was in a car accident the door ripped open and i flew out the car. Nearly destroyed my knees. Everything is scraped to hell my back, legs, feet, arms, just about everything is in the most pain i ever felt. I had convulsed for hours crying in pain. Wemt to the doctor and found out i nearly lost my legs. I played com truise hoping something would work. Anything rock, pop, blues, electronic nothing worked. I was only last ounce of energy and finally my body relaxed. I have never been so relieved about anything in my entire life.
it's a shame how this never really got the attention it deserved. also, silicon pit is a great mashup of this with death grips if anyone is interested.
I work 30 min away from where the Boeing Starliner launched. I took video of the launch with this song playing in the background. Now I hear this and think of the two astronauts taking off, unknowing ending up in the ISS. They're looking down at the beautiful Earth!
This might be my fav com truise track for the grittier sound. I wish it were more perfect though. 1:27 is a loose mess. Then it builds back nicely up until 2:32 just to drop a turd of a solo there. Then it ends nicely. Sometimes I just play the track until 1:27 and stop it. It's still a great track. I don't know what I'd do myself to fix it. Even just tightening up the rhythm between chords and bass at 1:27 could be enough. Sounds like he's giving 1000% and then drops it to half ass. I know probably nobody cares. Just wondering if anyone felt the same.
@@massgrave8x Ok here's some other Com Truise examples. Colorvision at 1:30 gets very busy without being too messy for my ears. I wish the octave bass thing came back later in that track but oh well. Then there's Propagation and Ultrafiche as two examples of CT's more musically coherent stuff. The trade-off is those aren't gritty and raw like Silicon Tare. Everyone's ears are different and there's no right or wrong. I'm just surprised that no one agrees with my 6-month old comment.
The latest Weeknd record will probably be up your alley. Some of the tracks are produced by Oneohtrix Point Never and have that nice synth sound you might be after.
