That happened to one of my girl friends. The doctor prescribed pills to end a pregnancy and when my friend had Trouble with huge bleeding Doctor didn't answer anymore and she had to be in some clinic for two days and had a really, really bad Time there trying to be stable.
@@LunaLightbringer it's pretty possible. I concentrate on breathing and relaxing my abdominal muscles. It's usually enough for me. My friend, who has lower pain tolerance, also advises to take ibuprofen 1 hr prior to your examination, but try to refrain from it, if the reason of your visit is actual pain.
Last time I told her, You get it to relax, you're closer!! 😅 She had to stop to catch her breath laughing and it lightened the tenseness in the room so much!
@@CarrieHall damn, that is BOLD 😂😂 it's good to hear you felt comfortable enough with her to say that, though. all my gynos so far have been super cold and I don't think I ever even saw any of them smile lol
To the people who will put off their pap smears because they're anxious, pls go, it's not that bad!!! I even had inconclusive results so they took a biopsy last year, basically a hole punch to the cervix with local anesthetic and a solution to stop the bleeding right away. The covid test inside of the nose was more painful than both procedures for me. (Not very)

Thankfully I don’t have this issue mainly because I can fit bout anything in there ( idfk how though lol. I’ve only ever been with one person and even after giving birth it’s tight as a vice ) I assume it’s just I’m pretty stretchy. Thank god for my genetics I guess???
Had a nurse yell at me because I have an IUD so I haven't had my period in years. She expected me to remember the date of my last period from 3 years ago. It's stupid too because I'm sterilized so there's literally NO chance of me ever being pregnant.
Crazy how universal this experience seems to be. No matter the age, country or ethnicity. I hope the new womens health doctors and nurses can change this paradigm.

We are starting to take our health into our own hands, thankfully. I love seeing women scientists running research programs, making sure our bodies are included, and our experiences are taken seriously. Our bodies weren't included in the development of medicine. So any experience we have that isn't male, "isn't important." So infuriating. I am so thankful we have the access to do it ourselves, now. The feds had to create a legal requirement that women are included in medical research, and we were still excluded, because of technicalities. The pattern to repeatedly exclude entire populations because they're "difficult," indicates something seriously off with the assumptions being made in that "scientific method."
My last birth I wasn't progressing and scar tissue was found from a preocedure I had twenty years ago. They forced me into epidural, draped a cloth over me and then came at me with some device that looked just like that 😂
Yeah, I had one of these as my first gynecologist. She traumatized me so much that I didn’t go back for years. When I did finally have to go back - I was shaking and crying on the verge of a panic attack. As soon as my new doctor walked in she was immediately extremely concerned. Complete 180 from my first doctor. She told me everything she was doing as she was doing it, was very gentle and kind. Unfortunately she moved and I haven’t found anybody as good as her. I’m still angry at that woman for what she said and did. I wish I could go back in time and advocate for myself.
Same here. My first gynaecologist appointment was at 16 and was traumatic. When the Dr asked if I was sexually active I said no and she answered "we'll see about that". And then I had the most uncomfortable examination. Afterwards I cried in the stairway. Took a full decade to go back to a gynaecologist
I'm 26 and still have never had a pap smear or any tests down there at all bc every time I think about it I go into an anxious spiral, and now whenever I get an automated text telling me I still need to book a cervical exam I just freak out and delete it. I don't even know what to do at this point, it just freaks me out so much :(
For context, I live in the UK where you're only invited for your first cervical smear test at 25 so I'm not super late to it but I do keep putting it off bc I'm just so scared of it, I have PCOS and experience pain with penetration, so I'm terrified it's going to be traumatic for me
@@mystic0screams I was 18. My family was overseas, so my grandmother took me. While talking to both of us, she asked if I was sexually active. I told no and that I was a virgin. She scoffed and then looked at my grandmother and told her “Your granddaughter is 18. She is absolutely sexual active.” I was mortified. I wish I would have had the good sense to stand up and leave in that moment, but I didn’t. My grandmother believed me thank God. And to top that all off there is a smaller speculum for these situations. My second gynecologist is the one who told me about it. The first gynecologist never apologized for saying those things to me, and I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable that I didn’t even think to ask. I wish I would have reported her.
I'm not a woman, but the doctor rolling past with the keyboard typing away without even acknowledging you or not even saying hello sent me. Too many women don't get the treatment they need. I felt like I've gone through my life without ever getting the treatment that I need. It makes you feel like nobody cares about you. Sorry to anyone going through this.
I've worked in Urgent Care (and as a reference, I'm beyond menopause and never had the added help of an app). If I come across a pre-menopausal woman who doesn't have the app, I tell them it's truly something that they should download. If they have questions, I'll send in a fellow and younger nurse to answer them. But angry? Goodness sake.... why??? 😅 WE (just by the department we work in) are always aware of the clock... but we certainly don't get angry with them giving us that answer. Now those working in a ob/gyn office.... geez, these ladies have PLENTY of time on their hands! And that goes for the providers, as well.... don't believe it if they act like that's not true.
my gyno is an extremely gentle and soft spoken young woman. she listens attentively and asks questions about my health in general. i’m 21 so i had my first pelvic exam and pap this year and she has such tiny fingers and used the smallest instrument she had, so it was barely even uncomfortable (let alone painful). i wish for everyone’s sake that my experience was a universal one, but i hear ample horror stories about women’s healthcare and of women’s pain not being taken seriously, and i’ve experienced this myself with doctors in other specialties.
my gyno is the same! literally, I travel the 2 hours to my hometown for my annual appointment with her because I refuse to find anyone else - I mean, I take off work for this doctor.
I'm so glad to read about good experiences. My first one was traumatic and not in consequent years. Only in recent years have I had a good experience for once. Make sure everyone knows about the good your gyno does - they deserve all the recognition
What is going on with these people? My gyno/ob told me my question was stupid and I shouldn’t expect to feel the same after four kids. I hit the roof. Yelled at the receptionists to not dare bill me. They didn’t bat an eye. One of them handed me a post it with the name of another doctor! Found out later, she’d lost her practice. Geez
@@michipichi0Oh, I am so sorry that I came across as rude to the reception staff. I didn’t mean it to come across that way. They were wonderful. I knew them well as I’d been going there for many years. They were professional and kind and helped me get the care I needed. My yelling was out of character and they calmed me down. They were experiencing issues with this doctor themselves as I came to understand later which is why I said they didn’t bat an eye at an upset patient. They had to put up with this rude doc everyday. That’s why she lost her practice, not only did her patients not come back, her staff quit one by one. And I don’t blame them one bit.
@@ritatownsend7408 You are allowed to be angry ♡ as long as you are not directing your anger towards them. Being angry is not the same as being threatening or abusive. It may be emotionally exhausting for reception staff to deal with angry patients, but it is a natural part of their job, and based on how your doctor treated you, I am assuming they have had to deal with plenty of patients who are a lot less polite than you have been here.
Why i stopped going to OBs altogether. Had too many bad experiences, so now I have midwives instead. They even do my well-women’s visits and prescribe my cervical cap. The care is NIGHT AND DAY.
Shout out to the doctor who told me my nerve endings had to be more sensitive than average because there's no way the three cysts I ruptured on the same ovary at the same time could hurt that bad.
Don’t forget the part where they yell at you to relax your cervix and your like how do you do that and how do you relax it with you all up in it’s business?
I had a gyno like that who only after my dad, who is a doctor him self, called and insisted she should check why I have such painful periods when I didn’t before (I already visited her the week before that and she just told me “that’s how it is for women, take stronger painkillers”) only THEN did she take an ultrasound and looked for cysts which she obviously didn’t find because I had ENDOMETRIOSIS which I only found out after I changed gynos which I was only able to do because my little brother’s best friend’s dad is a gyno who referred me to his colleague who took and HOUR to actually talk to me about my pain and listened and even took a pap smear which my previous gyno had never done (it was my first one ever) and she told me it might be painful and she even had pads in case there was some bleeding and I’ve never felt that seen by a doctor before that, even as a kid with kid’s doctors who even then dismissed my pains and worries.

@@susanmercurio1060yep. We are very blessed with excellent and highly educated doctors who have seen everything there is to see in third world country with a huge emphasis on medical training.
I have learned that this demeanor means I should never see the provider again. When someone doesn’t care about your health, they shouldn’t be your healthcare provider.
THIS. People are so quick to trust. You literally do not know this person and they are running a business first and foremost. You wouldn’t keep taking your car back to someone who didn’t really test your brakes or check your tires. But these folks pour millions into malpractice insurance to protect their business.
They probably shouldn't be in the medical field at all. Unfortunately there's lots of people who go into a profession and either hate it for their own reasons or are bad at it, yet they stay in the profession because of the time put in for schooling and training and the burden of student loans. But it's sort similar to staying in a bad marriage - what's the point if you're miserable and hate it?
YES!!! Never, never see them again. Even if it means having to go through another exam with someone else, don't give this person another dime or second of your time. If every patient treated like this does that, eventually these doctor will either have to be human or find another line of work.

Even non-militsry doctors AROUND where I live have a bad rep, if you want a doctor that is good you kinda need to drive and hour+ away from here :')
GO!!! Try to find one but even if you can only find a bad one, GO! I am currently fighting Stage 3 uterine cancer that should have and WOULD have been found earlier if I had found a good one or gritted my teeth and pushed through with a bad one. The tests are too important for women!
You need to go see one, it is very important for your health. You can also get a pap smear (due at 21) with your PCP if they offer that. I know it really sucks when providers are rude and not empathetic like in this short, but the truth is a lot of them are just completely burnt out (especially after the pandemic.) So while it is common and unfortunate that this short resonates with many of us, at the end of the day you should be proactive with your health and don’t stop looking for a good provider until you can find one.
I really need to go too but im also terrified because of the horror stories and on top of that, i feel VEEEEERY private about my private parts and i dont want a doctor poking around in there. Like it feels so deeply humiliating and violating
If it helps, I really like the PA I go to for mine. She's very patient with my questions and keeps me distracted from the exam by chatting with me. I drive to the next town over just to keep seeing her after I moved!
Just as an addendum, it's so hard dealing with gynos - signed, a nonbinary trans guy who's not a woman but definitely has to deal with this while also bearded and de-tittified
I have had several miscarriages, my 2nd pregnancy ended at 18wks and I nearly bleed out and died. During my 4th pregnancy I hadn't felt my baby moving for many hours. I went into my OBGYN and they refused to do an ultrasound bc the dr was out of the office. I was told by staff to "count my blessings" as in my live children.... instead of getting confirmation my current pregnancy was still viable. Thankfully my baby survived and was born healthy. Some people dont belong in the medical field.
Nailed it. I’ve seen gynos in five different regions of the States. All were female. All made my feel like a lot things, but definitely not like they saw me as a human being. None of them took my concerns seriously, either. Every appointment, I felt like I was wasting their time. Finally started seeing NPs instead. They listen and despite less education have a skill that no MD Ive seen seems capable of accessing: compassion.
Try a black Jamaica body builder man who graduated less than five years ago. That was who mine was and he was the best. Cured my infertility and always treated me kindly. With pills. Get your mind out of the gutter :(
Mine always laugh at me for feeling pain and mock me. One even told me my extreme bleeding and loss of libido was because of marriage problems and I needed to meditate (my marriage is wonderful, I’m very lucky). Anyways, because of bad experiences with gynos and OBs, I have PTSD and flashbacks if I’m laying down in bright rooms or someone is doing anything involving hands or being near my pelvic region. Guess who has a gene which will require me to have way more invasive and common checkups
Not sure if this helps, but Planned Parenthood has given me the best gyno care I've ever received- not that it's perfect But I had such intense bleeding that my dad wanted to take me to the hospital on Thanksgiving day. The last gynecologist i went to also stopped me from looking at my tracker app when the reason why I was there in the first place was because I was missing months in between periods and thought I maybe had PCOS and needed a doctor to diagnose properly. What's up with that? (Suffice to say I never went back. Felt SO disrespected)
Next time, tell them to wait a moment while you check your health records to confirm. If they are impatient, remind them you are paying for their time, but if that isn’t sufficient for professional decorum, you would be happy to terminate the appointment and rebook with someone else in the practice. And yes, this works. Be sure to smile and say it softly.

I 100% understand how you feel and I have a solution for you. I have a tailbone/spine injury from being assaulted so it's really easy for a negligent doctor to hurt me. I find the *best* doctors though by googling "top something-ologist near me" and I *only* pick doctors that have a 4.9/5 or higher review from a *large number* of people on google revews. And THEN I google that doctor's name and make sure they have nearly perfect reviews on ALL the other sites (Healthgrades, Sharecare, Vitals) by scrolling down the main page. I usually end up picking a doctor that is an hour drive away. The 2nd google search with the doctor's name is extremely important because some doctors have great google reviews but horrible reviews on the other sites. I also recommend reading some of the reviews (for a gyno I would make sure I see multiple reviews mentioning that the doc is very gentle) and also the doctor's history, like where they went to school, and if they graduated with honors they get bonus points. It's a lengthy process but it works, I promise, and it's definitely worth the time and effort. I hope you don't give up! And let me know if you have any other questions please. I've solved multiple complex medical mysteries by spending hundreds of hours doing research on Google Scholar. I've had my own doctors and specialists ask me to email them the case studies I read because I was teaching them something they didn't know. I'm a bit of a genius when it comes to medical research, I'm not trying to brag, I'm just telling you this so you can feel secure knowing there's someone who cares that actually has the *ability* to help you or even save you. Btw, this technique works *so* well that I've had multiple people ask me to help them find an oncologist because they know that the doctors I find are literally the best in the state.
My very first pap, at age 18, was with a male doctor. I jumped when he pinched off a sample of my cervix. He asked why I did that and I said it hurt. He _angrily scolded_ me and told me I DID NOT feel what I definitely felt because the cervix doesn't have any nerve endings! 😡
These popped into my stream - starting with her German mother skits. This is such a great surprise- one of the most original, and I think deepest comedians I can think of. I’m expecting great things to come.😊
I had a gyno who literally asked if I had a history of sexual assault. It was the first time I talked about it with anyone outside a few very close friends. She then very roughly did my pap and exam. I bled. I left crying.
So, so sorry about the assault 🫂 One doc also made me bleed and then claimed, "Oh, your period is starting." It wasn't, and it hurt...I was too young and shocked to say hey, you made me bleed!!
This hits different after they botched my IUD, and then didn't believe me until the actual appointment and the doctor saw it for herself. All she could say was "huh.... you're right" in a baffled tone... Wellllllll you don't saaaaaay 🥴😡🥴 Then they double charged me. 💞🤣

Highly recommend getting it done at planned parenthood. Think about it, they do so many they’re pros and getting an appointment is so easy. The one I had done at the OB was a nightmare, the one done at PP was comparatively painless, they could do it that week vs the OB being booked 3 months out, and going back to have it checked was equally easy.

I don’t understand why we’re expected to go through so much pain and spend so much money on a specialized pussy doctor when we aren’t pressured to do it for literally any other specialist unless we have specific problems
I recommend seeing a female Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. In my 53 years of seeing doctors, I find that NP and PA are much more compassionate and will take the time to get your whole medical history. I had Kaiser insurance for many years and saw a Nurse Midwife for my annual visits. She was amazing and so thorough with my issues.

i'm incredibly grateful my current gyno is so sweet and actually gives af about her patients. also was the one who recognized something was seriously wrong when i was complaining about a weird bump in my stomach that my regular doctor just shrugged about & said to make a gynecologist appointment but it didn't seem serious. gyno felt it & was immediately alarmed and wanted scans done. turns out i had a cyst on each ovary (so 2 total) that were each the size of a baby's head and it was why i kept "gaining weight" with no explanation even when eating healthy and working out. had to have a gynecology cancer surgeon remove them because they were so complex and there were _two_ of these massive complex cysts inside of me that regular surgeons refused and were too uncomfortable because they're used to removing singular cysts that are half the size soooo. anyway long story short she's been so proactive in my reproductive health and is nothing like some of the absolutely careless "doctors" i've seen in the past who are only slightly less exaggerated then this skit. the amount of healthcare professionals that would step over your corpse if you died in their office but it was 50 seconds past their shift is wild.
Please don't ignore it!!! It can destroy your bowel, your bladder, and other organs too. It can even destroy the nerves from your spine to your legs and put you in a wheelchair. Doctors never told me any of this info or told me how important it was to stop my period and now I am paying the price, living in constant pain. Please don't ignore it

Ya mine hurt worse year after year so I haven’t gone in years since. I have my new doctor but that fear has me from getting it done.

I wish I would have reported her.

my gyno is an extremely gentle and soft spoken young woman. she listens attentively and asks questions about my health in general. i’m 21 so i had my first pelvic exam and pap this year and she has such tiny fingers and used the smallest instrument she had, so it was barely even uncomfortable (let alone painful). i wish for everyone’s sake that my experience was a universal one, but i hear ample horror stories about women’s healthcare and of women’s pain not being taken seriously, and i’ve experienced this myself with doctors in other specialties.

I'm trying to wrap my head around why that guy wanted to be a gynecologist but seems to be afraid of examining on girls while they're on their periods...
Meanwhile, my MALE gyno literally apologised the whole time he was down there because i was baving to heavy breathe my way through it. It was kinda sweet, kinda funny, and he was super helpful.
My gyno is close to retirement and he's at the point where he continues talking to you while walking out the door and finishes halfway down the hall 😂
Mine does that too!
If men ever truly knew and fully understood what we go through, in addition to periods, cramps, pregnancy, labor, and childbirth..... the idea of "turn your head and cough" would come across as a blessing.
I have a cervix, there for I am a hysteric. That’s how they treat female patients most of the time 😔
I’m so happy my current gyno is so gentle. He is such a sweet dude and very careful. The best part is that he listens to my concerns 👍
I am glad. I don't care if my doc is male or female, just be good.
@@khutchinsoncpa1 Thank you so much! It's easy to remain passive in these situations + forget that your care is the #1 priority in the interaction, honestly.
Shouldn't they be happy that you have some documentation of your cycle or do they see it the same as diagnosing yourself with mayo clinic and yahoo answers?
@@womanishthing1994 I have a feeling that they assume the latter, yeah. It was so bizzare because I couldn't even get a word in to explain that I just need the app to remember when the last one was...
@@penthesilea_ that's so dumb- some of us can't remember what we had going on yesterday!! I can't never remember the exact dates of my cycles so I have to write it down somehow!!
the steel cooking utensils frightens me but is accurate, there is no emoji to convey this emotion
I've never had any luck with any female OB's. Interestingly enough the 2 best I've ever had are males. They were always respectful, good listeners, prompt and addressed my concerns in a professional way.
this was my first, and consequently last, gyno experience. As a trauma survivor it was baaaaaad
I'm so sorry 😭🫂
I’m so sorry. There are really great ones out there. My current doctor is really soft-spoken, gentle and listens to me.
Please keep going until you find a good one. I didn’t and am currently fighting Stage 3 uterine cancer that would have been found much earlier had I had a good relationship with a good gynecologist.
I'm so, so sorry😢😢😢
Basically, 🍪 Women's Health Care summed up
My very first pap, at age 18, was with a male doctor. I jumped when he pinched off a sample of my cervix. He asked why I did that and I said it hurt. He _angrily scolded_ me and told me I DID NOT feel what I definitely felt because the cervix doesn't have any nerve endings! 😡
wtf??? how did he not even know the basics 😭😭 hope you've had better experiences since
I thought they stopped teaching that bullshit in the 1800s!! Fucking psychopath
Oh yes, that stupid myth that has caused suffering for years
Oh yeah the same way women lie about how it hurts to have their cervix rammed during sex 🙃
Gotta love it when a man who has read books on your body tells you you don't know what you are feeling ....
These popped into my stream - starting with her German mother skits. This is such a great surprise- one of the most original, and I think deepest comedians I can think of. I’m expecting great things to come.😊
😂😂😂😂 “if problems Persist DON’T Call” 😂😂😂😂
I had a gyno who literally asked if I had a history of sexual assault. It was the first time I talked about it with anyone outside a few very close friends. She then very roughly did my pap and exam. I bled. I left crying.
Sorry to hear, how awful.
Omg I hope you talked to one of her supervisors or turned her in to someone. Anyone. I'm so sorry that happened to you.
So, so sorry about the assault 🫂 One doc also made me bleed and then claimed, "Oh, your period is starting." It wasn't, and it hurt...I was too young and shocked to say hey, you made me bleed!!
wow. horrible. so sorry... Some doctors should not be doctors.
Unfortunately it’s also not common knowledge that paps can cause bleeding. Every time I get one it happens.
This hits different after they botched my IUD, and then didn't believe me until the actual appointment and the doctor saw it for herself. All she could say was "huh.... you're right" in a baffled tone... Wellllllll you don't saaaaaay 🥴😡🥴
Then they double charged me. 💞🤣
They messed mine up too. I was not going through that pain and again and left it in. I can't use it for birth control.
Just get nurx and get on the pill. If you can't handle a pill, how do you think an IUD is gonna go ?
I passed out trying an IUD, which even scared the doctor, so ended up with the arm implant instead.
@@tjones3393completely different. I can’t be on the pill because of the type of migraines I get, but IUD is fine, because the pill increases stoke risk 4-5X. I have adenomyosis and PMDS, both of which resolved with the IUD.
The cork screw is so accurate! 😭 This whole thing is 100% accurate. So much pain 💀 And why is it called a Pap smear when they’re literally SCRAPING your insides?! “Scrape” or something should be somewhere in the name. I hope I never have to get one done again.
I always bleed for days afterwards and then they are mad at me for bleeding. You’re the one that cut me! How can you be rude and mad at me for bleeding?
@@Cswazey348 That's just like what the dentists do, too. I've had appointments where they dig at my gums but nooooo, it's not their fault I'm bleeding!
@@Cswazey348 oh no! What the heck are they using, a knife?! How is bleeding your fault? I bled right after so I couldn’t even get dressed and leave right away. It would have been nice of them to give me something like toilet paper but no, there was only paper towels. That is basically thin cardboard. Worst experience ever.
Because if they called it a scrape nobody would have it done
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but…pap smears are routinely done every two years.
Well she nailed that one!
My gynecologist is an angel😂😂😂. He really does his best. A very sensitive kindest gay man. I love him
This woman's talent needs more exposure, came across you recently and ur bloody talented! Binging on ur skits Laura!
I read that in her German's mom voice.
Laura is Absolutely Fabulous 💯👌😘
@@anntares172 lmao!
My obgyn is a tiny Hispanic woman. She is so caring and gentle. I love her
Best ones I had were both Vietnamese male ob gyns. My current one is French and rather abrupt but very gentle.
It's so true... 53, 4 years into menopause and it still makes me laugh when I'm asked if I could be pregnant 😂 I usually joke with.... I'm married, we don't do that shit anymore 😂😂😂
I love how dynamic you are with your movements. Brilliant. ✨
I've felt that "light scraping" before, so painful!
Five second rule!!
I've just had lunch... 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
IT ALWAYS TAKES SO LONG. Enjoy your Chipotle while I'm waiting naked, shivering, and sitting on butcher paper in a bright room 😂
The kitchen utensils had me wheezing lol
I had my first gynecological exam during the pandemic at a clinic I did not read the reviews for. I was seen three and a half hours after my scheduled appointment time, and the doctor inserted the speculum with no lube *and no warning.* Just jammed a DRY speculum into a first time patient with an intact hymen. Needless to say those few seconds were extremely painful and I thought I had vaginismus for an entire year.
That’s terrible 😞
That's cruel.
With an intact hymen? Docs need to ask about your sexual life, and if you tell them you're a virgin, they can only use ultrasounds.
@@BenefitCounterbenchreally? Most docs ive been to in the US now say to get a pap regardless of sexual activity (while docs I went to abroad said “why would you do that”)
"Have you or could you been?!?!" 😂😅
I was so stressed about the utensils one time I insisted I wasn’t there for my yearly but wanted to talk about birth control options. I got a 15 minute lesson on condoms . I was 42 . I wonder what the insurance code for that is? 😬🤔😵💫
BS.100
If I ever develop any problems with my uterus, I will just die I guess. No way I'll let some random creep get close to me.
Don't be ridiculous and flatter yourself like that. Not sure everyone would actually want to get close to you unless paid, just doing a job, you sound awful enough judging by this comment, calling people who offer medical services "random creeps".
Just pray it's not endometriosis, because you won't die, you'll just live in constant pain and be exhausted for years as your organs are slowly being destroyed. You'll be alive though.
@@user-yn4xc8kt3i I'm crying in bed in pain... Didn't sleep for 2 days now
I got this diagnosis after 4 years of descending to hell...
Now I don't know if I'll ever have my life back, pain 24/7 no work, no social life, hormones don't work for now.
I'll probably en up doing surgery but I'm very afraid of my local doctors and don't have money to go to good ones
Life is miserable
Oh my god do I relate with this so much. I’ve been in and out of the gynecologist lately and I swear they couldn’t care less. I always feel like I’m somehow interrupting them even though it’s my appointment lol 😂
Recently went in for my first-ever appointment with a gyno. The speculum really hurt, so she got a smaller one, then another. Finally, she grabs one and says, "This is the one I use when I have to give exams to five year olds." At the end of the appointment I was so embarrassed, and she was like, "It's okay everyone is diffrent. Your's is just child-sized"
THAT DOESN'T REALLY HELP DOC
Wauw, what a horeble docter.
I’m going to ask for that size for my upcoming exam. I’m going through menopause and seems if mine is the size of a 5 year old!
I’m a petite woman. I feel this
"You might feel some light pressure, OK take a deep breath" 😮😂😂
I’m dying at the utensils 😭😭 the intense jabbing with the “light scraping”
I love how the professionals leave the room for inexcusably long reasons. This time it’s lunch. 🤣
I've never been to a gynecologist and I dread the day I one day have to
The first one is always stressful. I did a movie marathon after and stocked up on comfort foods like chocolate and cheese 😉
The ones after are not as bad just awkward. My new doctor was amazing. Didn't feel a thing.
OMG You’ve outdone yourself with this one! Nailed it!!
Honestly….I’m so glad to be a male. The indignities and plumbing issues that bless and curse women are just far too many. We do not appreciated our women enough.
Thank goodness such people have made me literally a fighter and I’ll never tolerate this behaviour towards myself anymore. They’ll regret the very next second they dared to talk to me like that for real, I was very unlucky to deal with them in the past to know how to talk back. And the funniest thing is such people never expect you to talk back and taste their “own medicine”. Like they expect people to swallow the shit they throw at them and the shock on their faces when you call them out for it is priceless
I was just in the ER and I told the (dismissive) doctor in no uncertain terms that this is why Americans hate the medical profession now!
You're right - the look of shock on his face!
I feel really bad for overworked doctors… but it sucks when it feels like they truly don’t care abt ur existence :/
(Thank you for your hard work in no matter what field you work in❤)
There is such a thing as toxic positivity.
I feel no sorrow for them at all. It takes 0 seconds to be empathetic.
Light pressure is not a phrase I take lightly anymore lmao
I’m obsessed. 😂You’re delightful! Keep it up!❤
i'm incredibly grateful my current gyno is so sweet and actually gives af about her patients. also was the one who recognized something was seriously wrong when i was complaining about a weird bump in my stomach that my regular doctor just shrugged about & said to make a gynecologist appointment but it didn't seem serious. gyno felt it & was immediately alarmed and wanted scans done. turns out i had a cyst on each ovary (so 2 total) that were each the size of a baby's head and it was why i kept "gaining weight" with no explanation even when eating healthy and working out. had to have a gynecology cancer surgeon remove them because they were so complex and there were _two_ of these massive complex cysts inside of me that regular surgeons refused and were too uncomfortable because they're used to removing singular cysts that are half the size soooo. anyway long story short she's been so proactive in my reproductive health and is nothing like some of the absolutely careless "doctors" i've seen in the past who are only slightly less exaggerated then this skit. the amount of healthcare professionals that would step over your corpse if you died in their office but it was 50 seconds past their shift is wild.
it used to be mean girl to nurse pipeline, but i truly believe there is a mean girl to obgyn pipeline
This is literally why I never went back to the doctors to treat endometriosis.
Hi. Please don't ignore it. I hope you have other doctors you can try.
Be Well.
Please don't ignore it!!! It can destroy your bowel, your bladder, and other organs too. It can even destroy the nerves from your spine to your legs and put you in a wheelchair. Even if you have to fight, get treatment! At the very least make sure you are on hormones to make your period completely stop, like continuous BC. Doctors never told me any of this info or told me how important it was to stop my period and now I am paying the price, living in constant pain. Please don't ignore it
Girl same. And I've been trying to get a diagnosis for 10+ years. Even then, the treatment is so debilitating and may not even work... I'm basically counting the days until menopause
I still remember one of my earliest breast exams where the doctor told me “your breasts are pretty small, so when you do your self exam, it should be easy to find any lumps” ☠️☠️☠️
😅
The accuracy stressed my out.
"If your problem persists, don't call!" 😂
I felt that corkscrew 😂
