I don’t even really listen to rap, im more of a metal head, but I really like Wu Tang. One of the very few rap artists I actually really like. Them, Eminem, Pac, basically late 80s and 90s/very early 2000s rappers. Wu is very unique and I love it
Same, I have been a Metalhead since I was introduced to it when I was 10, I'm 46 now. But this group is just so awesome, greatness, great sampling and like metal, real music! And next to Metal, I listen daily to Wu-Tang and, of course, some others like Eminen, NWA... but mostly 80's and 90's rap and hip-hop. Because everything after the year 2000 ( of course there are exceptions, but definitely not a lot) is pretty shit.. like mumble rap, I really don't get idiotic shit like that! No, I like to keep it raw and real! And more raw and real like Wu-Tang isn't possible in this genre.

Wu Tang Clan is in my eyes are the "Black Rap Beetles" but just with more members. Think about it...."How Is It 30Years Later, The world Still supporting the "Wu W" on the clothing ? How fans from foreign lands, don't speak a lick of English still sing to there songs ?. The Wu is the only group in rap history maybe next to "Death Row Electric Chair Logo" where people that's loyal to them gets tattoos on there bodies. You could name 10, however...If you could only name the 3 greatest, most universally successful super groups in the history of performing arts, as hard as it would be, it's easy to include Wu-Tang in these groups if you are truly unbiased and paying attention.
These groups not only crossed over commercially, they didn't lose their roots at the same time, and people who couldn't stand "their kind of music" loved THEM though. These groups also became generationally relevant and racially irrelevant.
They will never fail to appeal to any race, and they will never go out of style. Middle School kids today know who they are and think they're even cooler than their own generational artists. You'll have impersonators performing in their place decades, centuries, and millennia after they're gone. They are also corporate brand logos.
