      "First set food" doesn't mean being born, at all.
      It's more related to discovering a new land (aka the first place the Numen arrived in the Land Between. It wasn't the land of Shadow back then, but another region of the realm- that part whas confirmed by Myazaki himself.
      Marika "veiled" it away later.
      You get sooo much wrong, you should watch other creators videos.

      I was thinking after hearing Myazaki saying that its an older culture could mean that these were people who still worship the Crucible and weren't changed to the faith of the Erdtree and the "Omen Lion" design could be their version of our Lion dances. Just an idea, because we haven't heard much on the Crucible.

    Idk how people don’t see that floating Rune at 9:20 as Miquella’s rune. It’s pretty clear because the DLC is about Miquella, the color of the symbol is his unalloyed gold, and the preorder bonus gives us a gesture called “Ring of Miquella” where the player makes a shape identical to that of that symbol
    It’s Miquella’s Great Rune, or at least a fraction of it. Please upvote this so bro sees it

    Going off of your theory on the lion dance. Miyazaki did say this was from a culture before the Erdtree and we also know that foresight is a real thing in Elden Ring from the prophet set. I’m thinking that this dance was meant to celebrate incomplete visions of Markia and Godfrey’s future children. Omen horns, gold lightning, and blonde hair brought together by a mighty lion representing Godfrey.

    48:03 I think its possible that Miyazaki doesn't necessarily mean Hero in that context. When looking at the question - about Elden Ring being structured like a heroic tale - this more means that Messmer is a big player in the narrative of the Shadow Lands. He's a significant figure, on par with the demigods we've face before and isn't a "lore outcast" with no interesting background.
    It does not mean he is, was, or will be a traditionally heroic archetype.

    • @syrobe
      @syrobe  6 месяцев назад +11

      it 100% does when you take the context that the theme of heroes will remain the same. he doesnt just say messmer is a hero on its own, he clearly says that messmer is a hero much like how there are other heroes in elden ring that we fight that are not inherently evil people. i even stated hes not a generic hero but a tragic one

      it's a presenter's voice. said presenter doesn't have to have a character in game, and if they did, they would express differently than this. saying it's the same voice as the new trailer outro is also jumping to conclusions. it is pretty close though don't get me wrong, could be the same person in and out of role

      @daveyjoneslocker4703 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@aesonone there’s absolutely nothing wrong with jumping to a conclusion. This is lore speculation for a video game, not a court case or open heart surgery. Also it’s OBVIOUSLY a presenter first and foremost, that goes without saying but it is often the case that a narrator who is obviously a talented voice actor who does marketing presentation voiceovers is also present in the project as a voice actor for a character. It’s extremely common in many mediums and just makes sense. Also at the end of the day the voices ARE similar and it’s almost certainly the same person.

While this is not always the case, red light tends to be absorbed the fastest of all colours, so much so that many deep water fish develope red camoflage, because its as effective as being completely black at that depth.
    The reason a sunset is a different colour is because the atmosphere tends to scatter blue light fairly strongly, when the atmosphere is thinner, this doesn't happen too many times and the blue light coats the sky, but when the atmosphere becomes thicker, like when the light as coming in at a relative angle to where we are on the planet, the light scatters so much that we can barely see it at all, leaving behind other wavelengths like yellow and red. This can depend on the thickness and nature of that section of the atmosphere, which is why sunsets are usually different depending on where you go.
    For this reason, I reckon the red light is almost entirely stylistic, as red colours and factions are generally shown through the game to be oppositional to the gold that represents "good" such as Leyndell and the heretics of Gelmir, co-operators vs recusants and so on. Especially given this area is ravaged by a man who alligns himself with everything that is against the golden order.

    The idea that the lion dancer is some reference to Godwynn is interesting, but the chained up and de-horned golden lions we find in the lands between seem to imply that these creatures ARE/WERE real, and that at some point when the crucible wasn't shunned, they where heralds of power, so iconic that they were used as symbol for the original round table hold, the tarnished (presumably) before they went on their long march and abandoned the lands between.
    So I think it's more likely that the golden lions are more an organic symbol that was worshipped long before it was adopted as a symbol for Godrick. And the golden tree might be the version of the erd tree that was destroyed in the shadow realm. Would make sense since the round table hold also has iconography of a large erd-tree like tree, that has distinctly different artwork than the 'erdtree faithful' version of the same symbol.
    Two trees, two cultures. Marika came from the realm of shadow. Her first lord was the lord of tarnished, who presumably came from the culture that worshipped/reverred the crucible and the golden lions. After Mesmer's betrayal in the realm of shadow, omens, omen horns, and the crucible itself, were deemed heretical.

    the sepents have wings, this could mean that they are infant dragons as dragons are since medieval times depicted as serpents with wings and legs. we also know that myazaki loves to take inspiration from berserk and it is speculated that messmer is inspired by grunbeld who in the front page of "the flame dragon knight" is showed as having a very similar helmet and red hair. he is also heavily tied with flames and dragons and if those sepents are infant dragons then the ties between messmer and grunbeld go beyond just looks. the dragon incantation crest also holds a symbol similar to that of messmers flame symbol, and messmer has eyes resembling the dragon communion eyes. and we can also see that messmer is inspired by vlad the impaler. we can see many spears coming up from the ground in his bossfight like the stakes vlad used against his enemies. now this could go further as vlad is also the inspiration for vampires.

    Some things I'm thinking, is maybe some of the reason flames and Snakes are bad is because mesmer (I know there's other reasons too). Also maybe miquela is after mesmers flame because he's able to burn erd trees aka defy the outer gods influence. Miquela and rani have have similar goals of defying the outer gods.

    Something that comes to mind is the tie of the name Messmer, which is very close to "Mesmer" of Franz Anton Mesmer. He theorized the existence of a process of natural energy transference occurring between all animate and inanimate objects; this he called "animal magnetism", later referred to as mesmerism. Today we refer to this as hypnosis. I could see these themes playing out in the game. Even if it's not directly in there, I can't imagine this naming collision has gone unnoticed by the game writers.

    Most likely Messmer's weapon is melting because he used it to impale the Erdtree. It could also be that since he impaled it setting it in flames it resulted in the Erdtree dying in Lands in Between as the tree we see is basically a Golden hologram pretty much. That could also be the reason why Elden Beast was dissatisfied with Marika and ended up crucifying her blaming her for what Messmer actually did.
    Also one of the collector's editions for base game came with a statue of Malenia and one with her helmet. Now we get one edition with a statue of Messmer and one with his helmet. Would bet my money on that we will get a third DLC that will eventually conclude the story of Miquella with an edition of his statue and one where we have his helmet. In the base game we were looking for Malenia and Miquella, in the DLC we are looking for Miquella trying to undo what his brother did and in the second one we finally catch up to Miquella and have to defeat him because in reality what he was doing wasn't so noble after all. 🤔 Or something along those lines.

With his armor being reminiscent of the snake with the ribbons appearing. His form and use of fire magic being reminiscent of the giants fell god. His spear resembling that of deaths blight. His eyes that of those that devour dragons almost being completly confimed by his armor that is reminisent of the drake knights armor. The section holding his spear being that of the sanguine choosen of mogh. Then looking at his form with elongated emaciated arms and legs I think mezmer is actually miquila. Here’s a thought. He was there for the war against the Giants. The fight wasn’t launched from Leyndell, it was launched from the realm of shadow. Messmer is the originator of the flame heretics we see in the Mountains of the Giants. He devised this flame to win the fight, and it terrified Marika. She abandoned him and built a new capital. She abandoned the idea of having Empyrean children and married Godfrey. She cast off Radagon from herself fearing that part of herself. Etc etc.
