The really strange thing about Yorgos for me is that he looks like such an ordinary, classy, normal Greek guy. But his mind is uniquely fucked up and I love it.
yorgos lanthimos films are just always amazing to me. he is one of my favorite directors and i’m excited to see this one. especially ready to see jesse plemons!! he is so underrated
So glad this trailer just played Sweet Dreams instead of finding someone to day a new, slowed-down, extra edgy cover of it like every other trailer song.
A suggestion: either watch this featurette without thinking too hard about the scenes on screen, or don't watch it at all, and come back once you've seen the movie. Trust me
Much looking forward to this. Yorgos Lanthimos has earned a great deal in goodwill from me on the strength of movies like THE FAVOURITE and POOR THINGS, which I admire immensely. That, plus he makes movies for grownups, something not exactly common these days. I have high hopes for excellence.
You sure? This isn't exactly the kind of movie i'd watch with my parents. 😅 Violence (not the marvel kind of violence!), strong sexual content and apparently cannibalism.

YOURE DOING SOMETHING VERY VERY RIGHT AS THE DIRECTOR lol
You’re allowed to laugh. Omg stop being like it’s edgy. It’s so done. Glad they do it in English. I could watch a bunch of 60s French film. Get over yourself
i hear its a horrific black comedy satire which HUMILIATES THE VIEWING SHEEP SO FUCKING BADLY TO THEIR FACE the entirety of the entire film that the mass majority of most viewing audiences WALKED OUT 50% WALKED OUT the theater during the viewing and its a love/hate film no doubt
My friend and I just saw this film, and walked out during the second story. It's probably one of the worst films that I have ever seen. It ranks up there with "The Northman" for really awful, grotesque films. I'm sorry that we just wasted our time and $18 that we paid to see it. I wish we hadn't. 🤢🤮
TRIGGER WARNING: This is not a comedy!!! I would strongly advise against watching the film for people who have a high level of empathy or people who have had bad experiences with abuse of power. The film definitely has the potential to trigger trauma. Please be careful with yourself and those around you and communicate this, because the trailer doesn't make this clear!! I think it's absolutely negligent to declare something like this a comedy. My personal experience with the film: I just find the film brutal, disgusting, disturbing and, despite the stark emotions, extremely boring. I left the cinema after about 3/4 of the time because, after suffering for several minutes during the film, I had given up hope that the film would get better. The film obviously just wants to shock. He does that too. It shows sadism and masochism at its worst. I'm concerned about people who only get pleasure from watching something like this. I think or hope that the film will (also) evoke extremely negative emotions in most people. Depending on your personality structure and the extent of your own sadistic psychopathic parts, this film will resonate differently with people. This is the only meaning I can derive from this film. As Emma Stone herself says of the film: “It’s the moment of truth”. Anyone who has less of their own strong manifestations of dark traits (sadism, psychopathy, narcissism, Marchiavallism) and wants to be in a bad mood and constantly disgusted should watch it, but perhaps also think about why that has to be the case. Otherwise, a big trigger warning for people with a lot of empathy and a recommendation from me to simply save the money or go to another film instead.
Another trash in style of the Poor Things. Which wants to seem like great art, but is essentially a subjective arthouse of a preoccupied director. Thank you. But no.
I like how, unlike Poor Things, the world looks like our world but the strangeness comes from the characters.
Good perception
It's more like The Favourite or Killing Of The Sacred Deer, which looked very realistic but still were very strange and weird.
