The best sounding Tele I've heard.
It's his Dumble amps...
I never cease to be amazed at his awesome talent and passion. He can make that guitar sound other worldy. Robben was born to make beautiful music. Thanks you Robben for your gift! I've enjoyed hearing you at many different venues, all over N. CA! Always fabulous!
Nancy, how fortunate to have seen all these live performances, and he is a sight to behold as he plays his heart out! I really think Miles was just as mezmerized, seriously and he had seen so many greats along with what he accomplished as a musician & leader!
The Tele he has and tone from it is just beautiful. But Robben touches it and it becomes something totally out of this world. The "tone" is in the hands and soul of this MASTER.

My friend Rick H. In Endicott NY turned me onto Robben Ford, coco montoya and more of this type music. It was a gift to me.Good thing. Good times Robben is cool.he plays well with others. I like his song give me something for the pain😼 and nothing to nobody.. all his works.👌great band they play in harmony as a unit good vibes

During this same timeframe, I saw this exact lineup at The Belly Up club in Solana Beach, CA.........it was a monstrous evening of incredible musicianship!

Such an amazing, underrated unbelievably creative player! A true virtuoso!
I hate to sound one of those people who talk about "the old days" , but I wish Robben would still play in this style with all his fire and passion like in the 90s and "Talk to Your Daughter" era. A lot of his current playing style is very sleepy and mellow with all the sharp corners rounded-off, musically-speaking.
You can't just go by what's on RUclips saw him in Nashville last year he was tearing it up
Well, this is 23 years ago. I love this era. But people change. And the other commenter suggests things might not have changed too much?
Check out the 2007 RockPalast show on RUclips. There's some great tracks in there, and it's great three piece band - top notch musicians. Plus with his vintage guitars and Dumble Overdrive Special.

That Bass player does not sit well with Robben compared to other players he uses in my opinion.
I`dont care if it Dumle amp but that overtones is`t good.
Bass sounds very buzzing, not a good sound choice.
