Hi, recently, I did a song with another artist and released it under my DistroKid account, making sure to add their data correctly when it came to the artist mapping section. It appeared on all of their artist profiles on streaming services as well as mine including places such as Amazon, Amazon music, however, I did notice that it wasn’t uploaded to their official artist RUclips channel as an art track, it was on mine as being the artist that uploaded it from DistroKid, but I couldn’t find it on the featured Artists official artist channel. Is this something to do with how they profiles were set up, or is it a DistroKid thing?

No it doesn't. You can use any format on your project and use the samples creatively. What couts is how you export the final version. Still, distrokid accepts even .mp3 as final version too. (They recommend Wave 44.1kHz).

Suppose you have a different genre of music to release, would you consider creating a separate artist for each or use the same one? for instance, Rock, Pop, Country, etc.

There should be a way to change this, if you go to the release that you want to change it for and click on edit release, then scroll down until you get to the title section, then you will see where your featured artist is. And there should be an option somewhere down there to change it from a featured artist to an additional primary artist or remixer in the option menu.

For the artist section as a songwriter only, do I still put my name there or should I put the singer stage name instead?
