Wonderful to see this restoration and thankyou to Lea Barker. Hello to the Ottawa Vintage Radio Club from The Cape Breton Reginal Municipality in Nova Scotia. (Sydney City & Surrounding Towns)
Interesting to hear the call letters CFCY from Charlottetown PEI. In my lifetime CFCY was on AM 630 KHz with a mega 10.000 watt signal that covered a good part of the Maritimes. PEI soil contributed to great ground conductivity. Like all good things AM Radio has come to an end with disappointing results since FM signals are so very anemic. As Alanis Morissette sings isn't it ironic? Now Tecsun makes radio's that can be set to wide bandwidth giving the few remaining AM Radio Stations a bright open and delightful sound. I recommend the Tecsun H-501x if you live in an area that has a surviving AM Radio Station. Both AM & Short Wave represent technology that was more useful than many would think. Shutting down RCI Sackville and the whole Short Wave operation was foolish and short sighted. Made by people who did not anticipate crisis like the war in Ukraine. RCI had Short Wave reach into Ukraine and Ukrainian programing.
Thanks for posting this. I have a Radiola 28 to go through and this is very informative.

1994 huh? It’s always interesting to see “RUclips demo videos” long before there was a RUclips.
You are a very talented person. Looks great.
The first ghetto blaster
Good work
Nice radio
The floor looks like a Led display...
really cool. And that scary story on the radio show reminded me of the Amityville Incidents.
