Bro it’s not even on Apple Music and I tried to play this on there looked that shit up and it wasn’t on there I was like dawg wtfffff so I came to YT where I knew it was and was satisfied
The riff before they even say Howard's name, to me, just screams that it's a continuation of Howard's Tale. They're structurally so similar, but this riff sounds so much darker, it feels like I'm actually there, in the plagued mind of Howard, as he tries to find his closure as to why he was horribly abused his entire childhood. Gives me chills and tugs at the heart strings.
its not nothing, you obvs didnt have it loud enough. Howard, Howard, crying in the shower Howard, Howard, been in there for hours it's a sequel to Howard's Tale
+Milk Fic From what I can tell no, he didn't. What I get from it is that because of the sexual abuse he suffered as a child mentally scarring him, he turned out the same and he both hates and scares himself. It links in with lyrics from Howard's Tale, "The first time, it didn't feel right; it'll be the last time he tries."Yes, I have too much time on my hands. x'D
Wicked song! It sounds a lot like "It's All Over" by Three Days Grace; the guitars/bass at the start, the verses. Not a big deal though, because Sick Puppies are awesome.
They did copy three days grace "It´s All Over" at 0:40 heres a link for Three days Grace - Its All Over ruclips.net/video/mSPQmJr3aco/видео.html 0:30 the same music is playing there. Three days grace "It´s All Over" is just 5 months older then this song. Three days Grace - Its All Over 26/12/2010 Sick Puppies - Monsters 25/05/2011
@maximumdrumz1 Damn straight Emma Anzai is probably the most under rated bassist out there .... the only reason people don't notice how bad ass she is, is due to the fact that people are too busy paying attention to her looks
I LOVE SICK PUPPIES okay this song rocks it tells so much!!! WHY DIDN'T THIS GET ON A ALBUM????!!!! oh well IT STILL ROCKS KEEP POSTEN THE VIEDOS only thing keeps me sane is sick puppies!
Wow kids its called Sampling artists do it all the time its just as common as a cover but anyone saying it doesnt sound similar is flat out tone def its the exact same bass riff and 3DG " It's All Over" they sampled the song because obviously they liked the sound thats all there is to it
@R6cknRoLL If you go on their merch website, they have Tri-Polar Deluxe available to buy. Monsters is on that album. xD I'm not sure where'd you get it solo, however.
I think this is a follow-up from Howard's Tale in Dressed Up as Life its pretty obvious at the beginning theres a voice saying Howard several times that with the similar rift of "It's all over" I think this is definitely intentional even though one X was released before Both albums its a real possibility that TDG could have inspired these songs they've toured together several times and seem to be on good terms. This may be a bit of a reach still but its totally possible
@Cobyt501st no, this is from Tri-Polar deluxe edition which was released may of this year (this song isn't found in the standard Tri-polar). Its all over came from One-X, which was released june 2006
@XXspazzycassieXX thanks i just spent the last 20mins trying to figure which song had that same beat, had it narrowed between 3dg, breaking benjamin or another sp song.
@Foxireas8 There are different songs on the UK and US versions of Tripolar, UK version came later and for some reason they decided to replace some of the songs with newer songs on the UK version
@rfarekas If you play guitar, or have ANY attention to detail, it is different. Different tuning, and it has an extra part in the middle. The first two measures of it, sound the same.
@rfarekas I wouldn't be surprised if their riff in the song "Monsters" sounds like "It's All Over" by Three Days Grace. Because the chorus to "Maybe" is exactly the same as "Whatever It takes" by Lifehouse. In "Nothing Really Matters" it sounds like "Papercut" by Linkin Park. And in the chorus to their song "Shards" it tends to sound like the bridge to "All the Same" They're even stealing from themselves, I LOVE them but, damn, there matterial tends to copy those of others'
@TheDarkRane I'm not saying that the meanings are the same, and I'm not saying they don't make their riffs better, I'm also not saying they do. I'm simply stating that their matterial sounds the same as others'. They're my favorite band, I wouldn't put them down, but the whole point of being an artist is to express your feelings and make your own music (and sometimes even covers) it's not to take someone else's stuff and form it into whatever you want.
@maximumdrumz1 I hate how most songs are just "Hey, throw me a beat down. Now do that for the whole song." This song is nothing like that. I love Emmas' bass lines. I agree that nobody ever recognizes talent.
@MrWutsurFace Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I love Sick Puppies, but some of their songs sound almost exactly like other band's songs. The chorus for "Maybe" sounds almost the same as the chorus for "Whatever it Takes" by Lifehouse. And then this one. Who knows, maybe it's just a coincidence, but "It's All Over" and Whatever it Takes" were both released much earlier than this and "Maybe".
@MrGameboyman ok dude "that chick" is emma and she is an amazing bass player.. i get so sick of all the comments just being like omg shes so hot! shes also extremely talented but no one seems to care about that
@131Skinwalker In my last 3 major, quarterly essays for Theory of Knowledge class have all referenced whatever song I happened to be listening to while I was writing it.
@rfarekas unfortunately, i think you're right. they sound pretty much identical until the very end of it... its sad and i love this band but they should probably change how the song sounds...
Bro, HOW is this not on Spotify?
REAL
Bro it’s not even on Apple Music and I tried to play this on there looked that shit up and it wasn’t on there I was like dawg wtfffff so I came to YT where I knew it was and was satisfied
@@caai3148annoying as fuck cause i gotta remember the song outta the blue and come to youtube to hear it
Literally, the only reason I came to RUclips rn
This is seriously one real hidden gem for people who didn't get the deluxe version, it's my favourite SP song
"Howard, Howard, crying in the shower" makes a lot of sense, actually, when you listen to the lyrics of Howard's Tale...
I heard “running, running, in circles”
I understood this reference after years thanks man
The riff before they even say Howard's name, to me, just screams that it's a continuation of Howard's Tale. They're structurally so similar, but this riff sounds so much darker, it feels like I'm actually there, in the plagued mind of Howard, as he tries to find his closure as to why he was horribly abused his entire childhood. Howard, Howard, crying in the shower
Howard, Howard, been in there for hours
it's a sequel to Howard's Tale
The riff is sooooooo similar to "It's All Over" by Three Days Grace but changes quickly at the end! lol!
AdamSinghPannu Haha! True that.
yes you are alright
the bass too
Yeah that was I thought xD I love that riff
Been one of my favs for years after hearing a nightcored version. Listening to vanilla version I so crave a second guitar.
Definitely one of the best bands in existence...
Kitty Murder agreed their sooo good
Sick Puppies - Monsters (2009) >
Three Days Grace - It's All Over (2006) >
System OF A Down - Mr Jack (2002)
Huh?
@@mrh0ck3y after listening to the other two songs, it seems all three share similar guitar riffs/tones
My thoughts exactly. Just proves how bad ass a riff can be
Yeah those riffs sound similarXd😂😂❤ it was sick xD
0:13 "Howard, Howard, crying in the shower."
Obviously this is a follow up song for Howard's Tale.
Did Howard commit suicide?
Find out next time on AMC's "The Walking Dead"
+Levail Does TWD actually have anything to do with the song Howard's tale?
+Milk Fic From what I can tell no, he didn't. Why is this not on Spotify?
It's on the deluxe version of the album
I thought this is its all over by three days grace!
thought the same thing! i was like huh? wow... that riff is close.
This is Sick Puppies so stop fighting over BB and 3DG.
This song is awesome. Period.
How is this not on Spotify :/
It's on the deluxe version of the album
I think it's:
Howard, Howard, crying in the shower
Howard, Howard, been in there for hours :)
So pretty sure this is now my official zombie apocolypse theme song...
Never wanted to deep tongue kiss a song before now.

She's def one of the most underrated but impo the most underrated bassist is Ryan Martine of Mudvayne
There best song ever

i think it's a great theme song for halloween
First time hearing this song. HOW, WHY ONLY NOW?
COOL
Still waiting for this to be on Spotify
not gonna lie that was pretty creepy
sweet
Why, oh, why isnt this on Spotify
@PURPLEISAMAZING1996 I think it's the voices in his head taunting him (since the song is about the monsters inside his head).

It's great!
sounds like It's All Over by 3DG that sounds like Mr. Jack by SOAD!
I dont blame Emma for not wanting to be pulled into the crowd, I wouldn't want to be pulled in either lol

Can anyone tell me where i can buy this? cant seem to find it anywhere.
I concur
Can anyone send me the mp3? I looked on google but can't find anythinggg.
@DeSkyWolfX Sounds like Drown or Take Me Under...or maybe Burn, O don't know, it really sounds like 3dG
@dynamite978 which one? I don't hear it... but I could see where'd you get it... a lot of songs sound a like... but which song?
@131Skinwalker In my last 3 major, quarterly essays for Theory of Knowledge class have all referenced whatever song I happened to be listening to while I was writing it.
@SimiMckern LOL. I didn't hear until the "Howard" part until you said it, I always thought they were saying "hiding in the shadows"... xD
@HypoKiki i though the same thing but now i'm happy i've got the album
@nightmareutopia same I thought it was "coward, coward, hiding in the shadows"
@rfarekas The lyric progression in the first verse kinda sounds like it too, except with longer gaps between the words...
@rfarekas kind of is but theirs is longer and changes from high to low every time and three days grace is shorter and goes lower
“Howard, Howard, crying in the shower…”
“Howard, Howard, been in there for hours…”
Is this connected to the track ‘Howard’s Tale’?!
@ZtealthpilotD Thank Goodness. I thought I was the only one hearing that, lol.
@XXspazzycassieXX Yeah it does sound very much like it!
can't seem to find it on iTunes for UK any reason y?

@rfarekas woah o.O, even the singing follows a similar pattern
@schmt92 Just buy the CD. Shim actually said the band doesn't like it when there fans get there songs for free on the internet.
that's not my music taste but it sounds good^^ ♥
@rfarekas unfortunately, i think you're right. they sound pretty much identical until the very end of it... its sad and i love this band but they should probably change how the song sounds...
This song seems to be about someone confronting another about a self destructive secret that the other has. Just my interpretation though.
