I think that Magic Grab is one the best improvements that Canva made for this new version! But as you mentioned, you often time need to pair with magic eraser to bring the project to what you like. (For me at least as I am not good at other more traditional design programs ) my biggest complaints about Canva Ai or maybe any Ai tool is that when you are running all at the same time, they get overwhelmed and not work as well and slows down computer. When I’m running multiple canva windows, ChatGPT, Gemini and photopea all at once, my little MacBook Air screens at me 😂

Yes, some of the AI tools can be more intensive and a little slower. I think much of the processing happens on the Canva servers, but when you start multi-tasking then having a computer with a fair bit of RAM can help. It's definitely frustrating when things slow down. I know sometimes at the end of the day I find myself with a ton of programs running simultaneously, plus, I'll have like 4 browser windows and 100 tabs open. Oops. I really need to get a little bit better about closing programs and tabs and working on less at one time! : ) cheers, Greg

Thank you as always...great content! Can you make more videos on making canva fonts look 3 D and less flat and plain?

I will see if I can find time in the near future to work to create a video on 3D font effects. cheers, Greg

Also, do you know how to slice or crop large images to be able to print them on small printers...I am finding no videos on this process

Can you be a little bit more specific with this question? Do you mean printing something out in smaller pieces that you can then splice/tape/etc. back together for a larger physical display then your printer would allow for? Or are you just talking about scaling down resolution or something else? Just want to make sure I understand your question. thanks, Greg

does magic grab only allow for one subject removal at a time? I have a bunch of illustrated elements and i want to separate them all but itll take too long to do it one by one

Hi Victoria, sorry for the slow reply. With the magic grab tool you could grab different subjects and put them on separate layers (to the degree the tool is able to extract each object), but unfortunately there's no easy way to automate the process and have it do this all at once. Depending on the layout/complexity of your design and the objects in question, there might be a faster way to do this with other software. If you have a specific example you want to share I'll offer further tips if I can. Best of luck! cheers, Greg

I love that tool! I used it the other day to remove something from my oops Ai picture.

Yes Naomi, those AI pictures often have an extra set of hands or something that falls in the "oops" category. 😂 I'm glad you've been finding the magic grab tool helpful. cheers, Greg
