Finally clarity!...I think even the news anchors didn’t know what they were speaking regarding IA dominating heights...quality content for to understand the situation on ground
Our Army now holding 30 dominating heights, earlier unoccupied, on southern bank of Pangong Tso. The situation on 29-30 August has completely changed the complex of the game. The Kailash Range has been totally dominated by us, and now we have taken over several heights, the heights include the Rezang La and Reqin La, both dominating the Spanggur Gap and covering significant Patrol Points 27 to 31. Also including the dominating heights of Black Top, Hanan, Helmet, Gurung Hill, Gorkha Hill and Magar Hill among others. Earlier we were at receiving end but now we can dictate our terms. But the situation along the LAC continues to remain tense because China still dominates areas between Finger 4 and Finger 8, a distance of about 8 km, which comes within the Indian side of the LAC. Though our Army has now occupied the heights which overlook the Chainese positions at finger 4 including the Green Top. Chaina will definitely try to reoccupy those heights which we took, though the window of opportunity is gone because we are very strong on the ground.
This military tactical break through was done by only one VIKAS Tibetan battalion for just 2 hours at night time with only 2 casualties , it's really a brilliant asset of Indian Army.
@Sanjeev it is high time to reoccupy Akai chin from china but it doesn't due to lack of political will of india so all are meaningless propaganda. India has no guts to do war against China. So india is on negotiation with china to settle boundary issue with china within Indian territory ladakh....
because it clearly shows how deep inside Chinese have entered indian territories and there is nothing great to sing about it when you can see with your own eyes that the heights that we are dominating are our own heights and there is complete diplomatic failure and lack of vision from GOI.
@Gaurav verma Get your eyes and ears checked, then read a book or something, they are at finger 4 we claim outr territory till finger 6 or 7. You don't always have to get politically triggered with these things.
@@preeti496 f4-f8 ridgeline is one straight line. We still can patrol upto f8 because we have a camp at f4 the highest point. But putting camps and stretching the line thin is what dumb idiots like you would do upto f8. If we can overlook directly upto f8 we dominate the fingers.

Minute attention to detail and a strategically trained imagination forms the basis of all your videos. It is obvious that this walk-through has benefited greatly from your approach. It is not easy to create a video which lays out the line of sight, and hence, a clear understanding of the actual situation vis-a-vis the Chinese. There was a time when manmohan government was willing to withdraw the troops but the army disagreed. This shows poor understanding of advantage of heights by these politicians. So what about common people. It's good educational video. Keep it up.
Very useful one...wanted to have a much broader view with both IA and PLA dominating positions on Pangong and spangur lake in a single picture....Thanks for providing clarity
Shiv, I appreciate your videos very much, BUT, this time your analysis is off mark, for Pangong Tso. Spanggur Tso area analysis was fine. 5:18 It is 100% clear that these can NOT be IA positions. Kindly look at the Eastward slope of Finger 4. There are tracks leading up to these positions from the East-side i.e. Chinese side. If you go and look at the maps again, you would find base camps set up by Chinese at the foot of those trails to support their deployment above on Finger 4 ridgeline. If these were Indian Army positions, we would see trails from the West-side leading up to the ridgeline. Chinese, as far as I could surmise, have taken control up to the point where the finger 4 ridgeline meets the finger 3 ridgeline. This has put them in direct observation of the ITBP post. That would have been the PLA's objective. I suspect that Indian Army has taken posts at higher positions than the ones you covered (maybe around 5800 meters altitude) as well as taken up positions on the ridge directly facing the point where finger 2 ridge meets with the finger-4/3 ridge. The tracks leading up to those would begin from beyond finger 2. There is a slight hump there, serving as perfect vantage point for us.
I also checked in Google earth and it doesn't look like Indian post....no track available to Indian side all track are doing to China looks like those are Chinese post + sadly now they have a clear view to our fingure 3 post...... Please check once and update if you found any error
@@prakhargupta108 Don't be sad Prakhar. They have a view on ITBP post but its just a tactical setback. Not a strategic one. Don't lose the bigger picture: India has ensnared China into a situation from which they have no face-savers other than to attack India, which could end in a humiliating defeat for them. Moreover, Indian security apparatus has gotten a much needed jolt. I don't even remember "Light Tanks" being mentioned as often before the current crisis. I still don't get why they are required, but still. This crisis has many positives for India. As far as I can see, till date, India has gained much more than China has in this current conflict.
Wonderfully informative video. Especially the beginning which explains how a high position is advantageous. As a lay person, I had vague idea that enemy can be shot at more easily. But a high position has other advantages. 👌🏻 We worry how will our soldiers spend whole winter at these heights? I have seen some of these places in the month of May, which itself was unbearably cold for me!
Thanks for this video which clearly shows the actual situation at the LAC so that we the laymen can clearly understand what our military and their Chinese counterparts are doing. I suggest you do a similar video of the Galvan valley area and other flashpoints.
Corrections - the positions on the ridges of the north of the Pangong lake are Chinese not Indians. You can see the vehicle tracks leading to right side of the mountain ridge (the Chinese side) but there are no similar tracks on the left of the ridges (India side). The positions on the north Pangong lake are also inter-linked with the supply lines back to theChinese side. The Indian army cannot gain any advantage in the north of Pangong lake, hence the Indian army is focusing more on the hilltops of the south of Spangur lake and around the Spangur gap. It is questionable whether the Indian army can really retain these hilltop positions once the snowfall starts in October. It would be extremely challenging to deliver the supplies to the men on the hilltop while being surrounded by the Chinese from 3 sides. From my point of view the Indian is trying to gain some quick bargaining chips while negotiating with the Chinese. This video is factually correct from 6:00 min.
