As a Michigan fan my favorite thing about this matchup is that both JJ and Duggan are gamers. They may be inconsistent at times with their accuracy and decision making, but neither of them get rattled and they will both put their respective teams on their backs and do whatever they can to help win the game. I’m really looking forward to that show. Duggan’s performance against K-State was nothing short of heroic. He’s as tough as they come. And I think JJ, for as young as he is, just has that “it” factor upstairs. Should be a fun one.
JJ has 4 total turnovers at only 19 y/o on a 13-0 team with the highest QB rating of any QB ever at Michigan so I dont understand why people continue to challenge his decision making. Its baffling to me.

Only team to beat Bama that year 10-9 Final. “Land Shark” defense with Robert Nkimdeche etc….so much for that after we dropped 44 on them winning 44-3. Our guys get healthy these next few weeks. 100%. As a MSU fan, I’ve seen a drastic difference. Even last season, it took Kenneth Walker III having the game of his life for MSU to win. And even then it was still close. It wasn’t long ago MSU fans were begging Michigan to keep Harbaugh. Even die-hard Wolverines were calling for his head. Nowadays, you’d have to be insane to get rid of him.
Blew my mind that didnt let Dugan go for goal in that moment. He scores that td and he has a legit shot at Heisman. Worst play call since pete Carroll in the superbowl
Joel and Gus get a lot of hate from Michigan fans, including me sometimes, but after watching other announcing crews, it's clear to me they're the best tandem in college sports. It's not insane to have thought OSU had a more explosive offense. That was literally proven on the field much of the season. That being said, that offense stalled against Michigan because Michigan is mentally tougher than OSU. Kudos to Joel for continuing to defend our coach in national media unlike the slappies at ESPN.
Corum was a bit of a crutch for their offense. Not by any means suggesting they’re better without him and wish he didn’t go down but it has forced them to adjust and also forced JJ to be more of a playmaker, which I think is good for his development and confidence. Corum’s injury might ironically be a good thing if they want to win in the playoffs as well.
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a crutch, I just think he was playing so good you kind of have to ask if you really wanna change anything when it’s working. Obviously since he has gone down it seems like the offense has opened up which is great, but it easily could have gone the other way I feel like.

anyone that says that TCU is gonna get blown out hasn't been watching our team at all this season. We have a competitive drive that takes over games. Not saying that we are favored vs any of these teams but I wouldn't be surprised to see us go all the way
As a Michigan fan I'm excited about our team playing TCU and then eventually either Georgia or OSpoo. However this take towards TCU is disingenuous Joel Klatt and here's why: 1. When you watched the game they actually LEGITIMATELY SCORED on the play but it wasn't called correctly. So that's on the refs COMPLETELY. 2. One of the top 2 reasons coaches don't call QB sneaks is because they know or don't believe their O-line can get the INITIAL push to score or get the yard. So there's a reason why MANY first downs or scores DON'T happen in these scenarios. 3. The 2nd reason MANY coaches DON'T call QB sneaks is because WAY WAY WAY too many FUMBLES happen during the "CONTACT EXCHANGE". Meaning when the center hikes the ball often the D-line surge effects the exchange between the QB and center so FUMBLES OCCUR. So then the QB is looking down trying to find the ball and not thinking about moving forward. 4. Depending on the play design and O-line ability sometimes the QB or RB or FB has a better opportunity to pick where to go AFTER the initital clash of the lines to score. So to fault TCU saying they should have done a QB sneak AUTOMATICALLY is disingenuous and not fair. The refs blew a call where TCU actually scored and had they scored from the shotgun you'd be saying what a brilliant play call. That's the God's honest TRUTH. Go blue! 🙏☝️
@@templar1060 we can have rivalry or takes on stuff without being biased or unfair. Really surprised at Joel for doing this. He usually handles matters more appropriately or genuinely
In my opinion this should be 2 undefeated teams of 13-0. TCU wasnt just playing against Kansas but also against them refs who refused to look up at the big screen in controversial calls.
Referees don't decide games, players do. And TCU has been fortunate to win some games this year, as have all the top teams really but they've had more close games than others.
Can't sleep on anybody but UofM will brake them in the second half 100%. Wer have too much strength and endurance for those big12 teams. If they couldn't stop garbage K State from moving the ball and scoring they have no chance of stopping us. The only way we lose is by beating ourselves

ITS going to be great game but with the elevation of the passing game,It's going to be a great game for 〽️ICHIGAN. TCU Offisive line is in deep💩💩 dealing with that defensive front.
I think the key factor that is going to give this team a chance to beat Georgia after losing to them last year is JJ McCarthy. McNamara was great for Michigan last year but he couldn’t do much with his legs, and avoid the pressure that Georgia sent. McCarthy can and that should make that potential matchup closer. Still going to be tough for Michigan to win, but he gives them a shot
8:54 Michigan also loves to lineup in shotgun with 3rd & 1 or wasting downs on the goal line only to fail and punt or kick a FG in the redzone and IT HAS DRIVEN ME UTTERLY INSANE FOR YEARS! It's criminal to think he didn't get that chance to seal the game and probably get the Heisman for sure for that victorious final drive.
All these respectful comments showing respect to the other side for making it this far. I like it and respect it . . . . With that being said as a UGA fan I'm out for blood. I really hope TCU wins because I keep hearing about how tough this QB is and I want to demoralize him lol.
I'm with JJ on the 1 yard plays. I never understand why play calls take the ball 5-6 yards away from the line of scrimmage then hoping your RB can take it 7-8 yards. Makes more sense to try the quarterback sneak when you only need 1 yard.
Joel is right. Kalel Mullings needs to be the guy who gets them 3 yards when they need it. Or possibly Edwards becomes completely unstoppable when he gets his hand back. They have got 4 weeks to figure it out.
Joel, you and Gus are the best Announcers on air, you two are knowledgeable and very entertaining. I hope you guys cover Michigan and TCU 's game because you two tell it like it is. I think Michigan is prepped and a little too overpowering for TCU though.
I totally agree on the QB sneak. I was like what the heck are they doing, but to be fair they clearly broke the plain of the goal line on second down. They are supposed to be able to sync those images and this was a complete failure on the officiating crew both upstairs and down on not even looking at that. Even when the assisting television official said from the overhead view you can see that he clearly broke the plain. Now you would likely have to sync some shots to confirm it but it was quite clear and they never even stopped play to look at it.
2 years in a ROW in the big 12 championship... THE COACHES ARE SO INCOMPETENT... my brother and I were rooting for oklahoma state to win the Big 12 last year to potentially play Michigan in the playoffs and then they choked.... and then this year TCU forgot about the QB sneak. I don’t believe so but this was an odd year when it came to the last couple spots. Hard to punish TCU and reward Ohio state for a game OSU couldn’t make it to. Makes conference games less important then.
If TCU is going to win, they would have to make it a track meet because TCU defensively is not that good. Michigan will get a lot of yards in this game, so will TCU. Michigan 43, TCU 28.

Wow, what a bold prediction going with the two favorites.
And Georgia beats blue by 20 to win it all.
I wouldn’t write off the frogs sir
Great analysis once again and congrats on the Deion signing! I was a big fan of Eric Bieniemy myself even though l've always been a Michigan fan so I remember the glory days for CO and I'm glad theay will be a force to reckon with once again! I really don't think they could have made a better hire!
Best in the business, thanks for your analysis
JOEL !! Your the BEST most accurate assessments !!!
anyone that says that TCU is gonna get blown out hasn't been watching our team at all this season. We have a competitive drive that takes over games. Not saying that we are favored vs any of these teams but I wouldn't be surprised to see us go all the way
This is the best team Michigan has faced this year.
Go to bed
As a Michigan fan I'm excited about our team playing TCU and then eventually either Georgia or OSpoo. However this take towards TCU is disingenuous Joel Klatt and here's why:
Go blue! 🙏☝️
You are on point 100% sir
Thanks for actually watching the game. Refs were horrid
@@templar1060 we can have rivalry or takes on stuff without being biased or unfair. Really surprised at Joel for doing this. He usually handles matters more appropriately or genuinely
This time his take is spot on! He was preaching some actual facts here.
@@truckguy8613 absolutely not
@@Jam-City I agreed with pretty much everything he said. Pretty brilliant and astute observations.
Gonna be tough. TCU has tall WR’s. Let’s get this W boys
To bad ur team will not win vs Tcu Michigan can't stop them
Can't sleep on anybody but UofM will brake them in the second half 100%. Wer have too much strength and endurance for those big12 teams. If they couldn't stop garbage K State from moving the ball and scoring they have no chance of stopping us. The only way we lose is by beating ourselves
@@anthonygauld313 Mich might run for 300 yards against TCU.
@@anthonygauld313dude wat 😂😂😂 we shut one of tha best wr down in tha second half in marv jr tcu ain’t got him I’m sure we gon do our thing against them
😂🤡
Georgia shouldn't have to waste their time playing Ohio State. The second best team in the Big 10.
Bring on Georgia vs. Michigan already.
I was thinking exactly the same on TCUs third and fourth down. Doing those slow developing RB plays instead of qb sneak? With the guy who carried them back to into the game? That was baffling to me.
Max was probably exhausted
I'm just glad a small college team in my backyard is getting notice.. ohh and the 1st power 5 school in Texas to reach the CFP!!
Sounds exactly like he’s describing the UGA defense. Good job Michigan. Great team to imitate.
I'm a super proud 〽️ICHIGAN Die Hard Fan, I apperciate your fair and honest opinions every week. I live in Arizona and super Excited to see TCU VS 〽️ICHIGAN . ITS going to be great game but with the elevation of the passing game,It's going to be a great game for 〽️ICHIGAN. TCU Offisive line is in deep💩💩 dealing with that defensive front.
I like Joel Klatt! And his dog too!!
Well said. I agree with you. Not many people have said that.
Don't forget will Johnson he's a crucial factor in this playoff best believe that 💛💙💛💙💛〽️〽️〽️
Ha Michigan is not winning vs Tcu not going to happen Michigan can't stop Tcu run
And don't forget Michigan will not beat Tcu Michigan will choke

That dog starting to bark at 4:20ish lmao
Well here we go big blue. Time to go all the way..
Go Blue!
They don't have a chance against Georgia
@@RossDressForLess22 your right they have more than a chance, they have an open shot
@@RossDressForLess22 We may never know since the Buckeyes might beat Georgia.
A lot of superstars on both rosters
I agree that was a missed opportunity for the Frogs , but better then than the next time. (Not that we get a choice) 😊
Miss opportunity, man they choked, bottom line and they think they can beat Michigan, negro please! Go Blue!
4:16 Let your dogs out Joel! Lol
Usually pride comes before a fall... but Michigan has bragging rights for now... they've earned it.
Love your announcing and show, Joel. I was at Reliant Stadium during the 2005 Big 12 Championship. Does '70-3' still haunt you...? :)
Or, use that big fullback which just came on in the past two weeks.
Let's have an Orji in the end zone....
The perception of TCU is the Spread. I think the Purdue game tuned up the bunch defense.
Joel's dog barking in the background emphasizing that MICHIGAN HAS THAT DAWG IN THEM!
The missed opportunity came when the officials screwed up multiple calls. Horrid!
Klatt’s dogs in the background 💀
I think Michigan will win the title. I see a blowout against TCU and comfortable 10 pt victory against Georgia.
Michigan Wolverines 2022 National Champions !! Please !!
Joel is right. Kalel Mullings needs to be the guy who gets them 3 yards when they need it. Or possibly Edwards becomes completely unstoppable when he gets his hand back.
They have got 4 weeks to figure it out.
Yes and we shall figure it out. Go Blue!
Joel, you and Gus are the best Announcers on air, you two are knowledgeable and very entertaining. I hope you guys cover Michigan and TCU 's game because you two tell it like it is. I think Michigan is prepped and a little too overpowering for TCU though.
I wish but the game is on ESPN unfortunately.
WHOA NELLIE !!! This is going to be one of those barn burners , one for the AGES !!!
O-line will be the key again to VICTORY !
Imagine OSU against Michigan in the Championship
Won’t happen

2 years in a ROW in the big 12 championship... THE COACHES ARE SO INCOMPETENT... my brother and I were rooting for oklahoma state to win the Big 12 last year to potentially play Michigan in the playoffs and then they choked.... and then this year TCU forgot about the QB sneak. At least we don't have to play Georgia in the first round again
Other than TCU...Has a college football team ever lost a game and not dropped in the ranking?
Oklahoma in 2003 lost the Big 12 championship vs Kansas State 35-7 and stayed at #1 in the BCS polls and played LSU for the national championship.
I don’t believe so but this was an odd year when it came to the last couple spots. Hard to punish TCU and reward Ohio state for a game OSU couldn’t make it to. Makes conference games less important then.
@@ncrtrooper6619 both choices in my opinion are as bad if not worse than Max Duggan not being able to run a QB sneak to beat Kansas.
It was there first loss of the season. All the other teams have 2 losses. That’s why.
If TCU is going to win, they would have to make it a track meet because TCU defensively is not that good. Michigan will get a lot of yards in this game, so will TCU. Michigan 43, TCU 28.
Ha ha and u will be so wrong Michigan can not beat Tcu not ever going to happen

This game is a cakewalk into the title game. TCU does not belong in the final 4. Good for us. Georgia will be a real test.
I want to see TCU get off to a fast start like they did against Iowa State.
I don’t think Michigan has played a team where the QB runs as much as TCU’s… of course they practice with JJ, but feel TCU’s QB runs much more.
Yea this will TCU’s X factor he runs and runs hard. He will definitely extend drives no doubt but he will most likely have a shadow the entire game. GO BLUE!!!

Joel, I know your occupation requires you to be completely impartial, but as a Michigan fan, I really feel like you’re on “our team”… stay real homie 💯
This will be an interesting match up
Michigan as long as they continue to dominate on the ground and keep OSU’s offense off the field it’s game on!!!!
Why ppl get on podcast and act like Blake can’t go 60 yards?
Of course he can but edwards has a bit better break away speed
Corum is more of a slasher, Edwards is more of a home run hitter. It's amazing that their Heisman RB gets injured and they don't miss a beat.
Corum good. But Edwards the real game breaker.
That was Dykes call not Riley. TCU was hosed on the spot at the goal line. Miller clearly scored on 3rd down. The overhead showed the ball breaking the plane. This is not to say that KSU would not have scored to make it 37 all. Tough to watch the refrees perform so badly as a fan of college football including replay booth.

Tcu will fight, but in the end they will end up in the Michigan meat grinder mid way through the 3rd quarter. No disrespect to tcu, but they will be gassed, then pummeled in the 4th quarter.
