I've been to that mall! I used to live in Georgia when I was young, and I remember how whenever we had family down or something like that, we would go there. I could never remember the name of that mall, but now I suppose whenever I go to Georgia next I might have to try and go.

I LOOOVE escape room places. I have only been to two, but I have so much fun. One was high quality and had a laser puzzle, slide, hidden rooms, and more.
I love puzzles and riddles a lot, so those types of places are so much fun.
Those are called escape rooms out west.
And everywhere else aswell

Really awesome to see you teach Emile and Masae MtG! The Elspeth vs Kiora Duel Deck is definitely up there as far as the most recent ones go - well, "recent" in my mind including Clash Packs, but eh. I forgot to ask last time, but have you looked at the more recent blocks/sets, Stephen? DRAGONS. In all colors!

5:00 In the Midwest, we have a similar place called Escape Chambers. Pretty much the same thing as Mystery Room.

I like how Stephen describes an escape room but calls it a "Mystery room"
I never got into Magic, but my friends from summer camp did. One day two of my friends wanted to play some counselors, but there were three counselors, so I said I would play with them to make it teams of three. I didn't have a deck however, so I borrowed one from a counselor I was playing (I asked for the biggest deck, which ends up being important). The deck I ended up getting was mostly light based, but had multiple cards off all five types of mana. I end up drawing a bunch of cards in my hand and mostly playing the mana cards because I didn't know what to do with the others. Then I draw a card that requires ten mana cards, two of each type, to play and if I played it, it would give me as much health as there were cards in my deck. So once I got enough mana, I played it and my health went from around 20 to around 150. We couldn't finish the game but the counselors said my friends and I would have won anyway only because they wouldn't be able to kill me before they were killed

If there's one thing working, even briefly, with GIMP (and probably Photoshop, though I wouldn't know myself) teaches you, it's the overwhelming beauty and utility of vectors in graphic design. Ahh, .PNG, the Lobster of the world of image formats...
As a side note - y'know, even when he doesn't technically _end_ the day, Emile's last words always resonate, even long after the vlog has ended. Today is no exception. Though I wonder, if maybe this is all part of his plan to filter the One Piece/MLP/etc. haters from the vlog audience... I admire your cunning, Mr. Conroy.

I actually did one of these a couple months ago with my school! It was a different "brand", and it was 60 minutes instead of 45, but it was really really fun! Although I had 8 other people in the room with me so it was mad insanity and we had less than 10 minutes in the clock left. It was still incredibly fun ( for those wondering it was Escape in 60 in Charleston)

the mystery room thing is similar to the escape room in England which is basically a challenge room with puzzles and normally the riddles you need to solve needs simple minds which somehow makes slightly less bright people be a great asset in beating the room. Also the ones in england requires you to pay and book the rooms online
They've got something like that mystery room company in Charlotte, NC. It's called Exit Strategy!

Stephen could you make a vlog showing how you edit your audio for the lp channel (if you do)? I have the same equipment as you, but my audio quality was a lot poorer on my video.
You can watch the one video on my channel if you want to hear it. I put my voice on bass reduce instead of voice enhance in FCPX btw.
LopsidedPasta I plan on doing that, but I still don't have my audio quite like I want it. With each project I'm tweaking both our setup as well as post. That said, a good starting point is a compressor and noise gate!

Ah! Dave and Busters! My boyfriend and I LOVE going there. We've been there so much we earned enough tickets to get a PS4 and some few games from their prize corner. Also I'm glad to hear Masae and Emile enjoy magic! But hopefully they don't lose too much of their wallets over it, as is the way with this game.
One of those Mystery Room type things just opened up where I live with 4 different rooms to solve? They say only around 10% of groups succeed so if you guys beat yours.. good job.=D

I don't know how to play Magic, but that was such a Yu-Gi-Oh! moment! God damn it, it's like that card was made for that round.

OK so I love Magic, it's one of the best strategy card games I've ever played. One of the most intense matches I've ever played was a game where me and my friend started with 50 health, but any monster that attacked wouldn't be untapped during the next upkeep phase. Needless to say the game raged for about three hours and eventually ended with me winning. The greatest part? I used one of his decks, a blue/black/white deck. Whereas I would normally wipe the floor with him with my normal deck of black/green/red. It was tricky, but I'm nothing if not competitive.
UGH i wish i went to that mall that day! I live like SUPER near that mall! I wish i went to sugarloaf mills that day!
