My mom had to leave our home when I was a little girl. My parents divorced and mom went to stay with her sister and go to work in a factory they said they had to hold on to the light pole because the wind was so bad. They hated it and finally decided to leave.
Wrong latitude! I wouldn’t live there if you paid me. It’s winter 8 months of the year. I went there in 1963 to visit relatives and on 4th of July it hailed. I told my mom that I would never go back. 😢

Bah- it's only winter 5 months of the year. April is Spring- a REAL spring, just warm enough, and May - October are all beautiful, warm months. It starts getting brisk and gusty in November, but the winter weather doesn't really begin until December and the green shoots are appearing in late March.
While Chicago has its challenges, it’s also a city full of amazing architecture, rich history, and vibrant communities.
