Wow! That's the most comprehensive video I have ever seen for the Pro-charger yet!! Great job!!! Good Honest review. I hope to get the funds for this upgrade.
Hey y'all. I'm telling you. This kit on my 2017 is amazing. I also ported the lower intake manifold. I'm about to go 65Lb injectors, 450lph fuel pump and a 12Lb pulley. I've got 427hp and 361 ft lbs of torque to the ground now. Can't wait to see at 12 pounds. Hoping for over 500hp and 400ft lbs. Hoping!!! Car only weighs 3527 Lbs.
Travis Willoughby Nice man! I pullied down from the 4.10 to the 3.70 pulley since this video. Making 11psi. Getting ready to convert to e85 with the addition of a DW400 fuel pump. Already installed 65lb injectors.
Thats super awesome but whats your mpg now? Thats my biggest concern with boosting the v6 because its going to be my daily and inwant at least decent mpg.
Dude right on, like your thinking. Anything can be built to be fast. If your at a show or race and your sitting there with 3 5.0 cars I guarantee more people will stop and look at your car before the 5.0’s I get it all the time. Everyone has a 5.0 and there’s nothing interesting about them. I’m going to keep building my 3.7 till I can run in the 10’s then I’ll be happy.
Love your attitude bro. I hear that should of got a v8 crap all the time. I bought my 2015 v6 auto for 17,000 almost 2 years ago! That's why I got a v6 and I love the look of the s550
Going to be getting a procharger in the next few months, saw one video recently where a guy burned out 2 cylinders due to over heating because of repeated pulls on warm days, was wondering if you've had any issues with that so far
WJCarter25 No issues like that at all. I’ve driven 1.5+ hours to the track and done back to back pulls multiple times with no issues. Tracked in June and July too. I’ve seen some examples of that but it’s usually been a tune or too much boost issue. These blocks have their limits.
Really enjoying your channel bro. If you ever really want to wake up the power safely go e85 you won’t ever want to go back to 93. All you need is 65lbs injectors or bigger and a tune. I’m doing the 3.73 install next week and I’m really excited and have the one piece DS on the way.
marty garcia Nice man thanks. Can you switch back and forth between e85 and 93? I daily now and I know the e85 doesn’t go as far. Let me know what you think of the gears once you grab some pulls.
greyghost3.7 yeah you can as long as you switch the tune and stay on low boost like 8psi you can definitely switch but you won’t wanna. I average 10-12 if I’m on it,14 City and 18-20hwy so it not terrible. Im at 10+psi and had to install a Bap so no more 93 for me. But I’m ok with that 🙂 you will definitely feel the difference I promise
Another AWESOME vid. Subscribed. You say no drilling. But, isn’t there the need to drill the crank pulley, for the peg/dowel, for the charger pulley install? Or did they change that?
Atticaz Thanks! Good call out. No drilling was a bad choice of words. You do have to drill 1 5/8 hole in the crank pulley for the dowel pin. They supply the drill bit too though 😂
Love Your video you did a great job on this subject. I have a 2015 Roush RS in the same color with a phase II kit ..I'm wondering if you can still use the Roush cold air intake..
I just started tuning my procharger with MPT and it appears I have a bad fuel pump check valve. My engine turns over numerous times before starting. Like you, I upgraded my fuel pump to the DW400. Maybe one thing has nothing to do with the other but I did not have this problem with the stock components. My installer wants to see if the tuner can increase the duration of the prime feature on start up which sounds like a bandage to me. This install has not been without its challenges. I ready to get the hiccups behind me.
dhsw41800 No the tune included kit and the tuner kit comes with upgraded fuel injectors. No fuel pump. I went with the tuner kit and they tuned just fine with the stock fuel pump. Even when I switched to MPT for my tuning I still used the stock fuel pump, just upgraded the fuel injectors to 65lb over the kit 55lb ones. It wasn’t until I switched to e85 that I needed a different pump. I went with the DW400. The kit comes with everything you need.
Thanks for the reply. I’m trying to figure out which shop to go with or do I do it myself. Both shops I’m considering want to dyno and tune it themselves. Honestly, I don’t think any shop is going to do better than MPT Tuning that has done a bunch of 3.7L mustangs. Besides, I like the idea of owning the tune and having it on my SCT programmer vs. a shop keeping the file and if I ever needed to change something, I always have to go back to that shop.
dhsw41800 I started with a custom dyno tune. Wasn’t happy and switched to MPT. Best money I’ve spent. I had them when I was NA also and they were great then too.
I know you posted this a while ago, and I hope you answer. Do you have the fuel pump booster on your car? And would you recommend it? Like would it allow the tuner to add a little more power? Mine is Procharged and tuned. But I don’t have the fuel pump booster
The V The S If you’re staying regular gas I’d recommend staying with your stock pump. From what I’ve heard it’s sufficient for the base PC kit with 50lb injectors. If not I don’t think the gains (if any) would be worth the investment.
greyghost3.7 okay. I already have 65 lb injectors right now, do you mind giving me a link to the pulley and pump you’d get for the e85. And the pulley for more because when I google it. Can’t seem to find anything on it

Can i get an update? i've watched this video like 10 times I love you care and your ideas but i want to know of any long term issues. How many miles have you put on it? Has anything broken? Have you need more aftermarket parts to maintain functionality? Thanks.
Hey sorry man your comment somehow went into spam. I'm right at 18k miles on it now. I pullied down too and added 2 more pounds of boost. Absolutely 0 issues with anything. Nothing added for functionality, just stuff added to go even faster lol. Thanks for watching!
I’m kind of confused, I thought you were supposed to be at around at least 450 hp after supercharging it yet you show 407, I’m still new to cars but going from stock 305 hp @6500 rpm to 407hp @6610 rpm doesn’t seem like that much
Hermes Lika All car manufacturers give you a hp rating at the engine. Due to parasitic loss, drivertrain etc. you lose roughly 15% of your hp by the time it gets to the wheels. So that 300 hp is more like 260 to the wheels. After the procharger I put down 409 to the wheels which is roughly 470 to the engine. That’s about 150 wheel hp gain. Stock GTs put down about 370 to the wheels as a comparison.
greyghost3.7 oh okay i got it now, I thought that was 407 to the crank which is why I was so confused because the kit costs about 6300 but that’s much better now, is it still running good? I want to buy the kit and install everything myself but I’ve heard there’s a new procharger they came out with instead of p1x. Hoping to daily this and pull here and there when safe to do so or on the track
greyghost3.7 glad to hear that! I also have a C&L cold air intake and borla catback so I’m hoping when I get it I’d be closer to 500 crank hp, the CAI and tune changed my car drastically so it should make more power with the procharger as well
Just found this video after 2 months with the pro charger installed is there anything that has failed on you car? Really thinking about buying this pro charger or turbocharging my mustang.
Cameron Becker No issues at all. I have over 7,500 miles on it now. I check the oil and belt regularly. 3 times to the strip and a few fun pulls occasionally.
Kevin McGillick First this is a 2016. Same year GT was 435hp at the engine. Those are crank or engine hp numbers from the factory. This is dyno wheel hp in the video of 409hp. This was before my recent pulley and fuel injector swap. I should be around 450 to the wheels now. That being said my car was 24k with a 6000 procharger and some labor thrown in. Still was below a 2018 GT that will come in at 38-40k range well equipped. The 2018 GT dynos around 415hp 395tq bone stock. Do GTs have more potential? Sure. But a GT500 has more potential than a 5.0. Endless debate. My car is quicker than most I come across. Big dogs excluded hellcats, ZL1s, etc.
@@Doomsday410 I understand man. That's a good point about comparing year to year. I have a 2016 as well and I bought it brand new in October of 2015. I love the car and it seemed to really fast when I first got it but recently it just seems like it's not quite quick enough. I'm thinking about trading up to a brand new GT or a Corvette or installing one of these. I'm also in Denver at 6000 feet altitude where I live so that is robbing my power as well and I think if I had forced air injection it would be a big difference.
Even with the supercharger for the V6, the Ecoboost mustang makes the same amount of torque at 350. Wouldn't it be better to get the Ecoboost in the first place?
Vince N. Are you referring to the 2019 model? My car is a 2016. The 2016 ecoboost came with 320 tq which on a dyno would drop roughly 15% due to drivetrain loss. That would put the tq on a dyno down to about 270. The 2019 with its 350 tq would dyno at about 295 after drivetrain loss. My 409hp and 352tq are dyno numbers to the wheel. That would put my hp at about 480 at the engine and my tq at around 404.
@@Doomsday410 I forgot that the torque is at the wheels on yours. Cheers! I was looking for a 2015+ mustang v6 and put on a supercharger, but wasn't sure if it is worth it or not.
Hey! So was it worth it? Or would you put that money towards a GT? An honest answer would be appreciated. I am so stumped cause my V6 is already modded full bolt on pretty much.
Dark Arts I talk about this exact question at the end of the vid. Yes it was worth it and I’d do it again. I could’ve easily taken this money and traded on a GT. Then I’d have a bone stock GT appearance and performance wise. Go to any Mustang show. You’ll see 100 just like it. I don’t knock V8 Mustangs, I’ve had 3 of them. Besides a handful on RUclips and Instagram there aren’t many supercharged V6s out there. I love this car. It looks and drives the way I imagined it the day I bought it. But this is a question for each individual. If you need to be part of the it ain’t great if it ain’t 8 club then go GT. Or if you need that V8 rumble we all love. Whatever you do. Do it for you not because some dumbass said “shoulda bought a V8”...
IamFreeSpirited Over 20k miles on the procharger now no issues. I did pulley down for more boost and switch to e85 since this video. Make 11-12 psi now depending on the temp.
Samuel Pat No the air box connects directly to the front of the procharger instead of the throttle body. Also the front section closest to the grill on the Roush would have to be removed since there is procharger tubing in the way.
Doomsday410 okay awesome thanks man! That doesn’t seem too bad considering all of the upgrades and the 3.73 gears and you have fun when you drive lol thanks for the quick response I really enjoy your channel keep it up man.
Rokas Kundrotas In simple terms yes. The procharger is belt driven. The attachment to the crank pulley allows the interconnection to the procharger pulley. Some people worry about stressing the engine this way. Most of my driving is low RPM and not in boost. The car feels stock unless I press it into high RPM. 18500 miles on it now and no issues.
What do you mean by pinning the crank pulley? Is there some drilling required with installation? I thought the kit was a complete bolt on, no drilling, cutting, etc.
Dropped to about 17.5 city. Don’t remember the highway mpg. I’ve since upped the boost and gone e85 so mpg is terrible now but not something I’m worried about.
IamFreeSpirited I’ve maybe done 6-8 0-60 runs the entire time I’ve had my car. I think my best is a 5 flat maybe with no traction. Car has mid-4’s in it from a power perspective but traction on the street is nonexistent. I focus my efforts on prepped surfaces and time slips.
Insurance for v8s are killer also
thats a misnomer I have v6 and got quoted GT insurance maybe 10-15$ a month more and I had a bad driving record.
Can you have a jlt catch can with this procharger?
IamFreeSpirited Yes but the hose/tube on the front side has to be modified. I have one on the car in the video same brand.
@@Doomsday410 what did yoi have to do?
Start it!
Do you have a high performance radiator coupled with this?
IamFreeSpirited Nope bone stock.
@@Doomsday410 still running this same setup?
IamFreeSpirited Over 20k miles on the procharger now no issues. I did pulley down for more boost and switch to e85 since this video. Make 11-12 psi now depending on the temp.
@@Doomsday410 still on stock internals?
@@Doomsday410 also, do you feel like a breather for our 3.7s would be a good idea with the procharger?
What is it tuned for? 93 Octane?
Would a roush cold air intake fit with this kit ?
Samuel Pat No the air box connects directly to the front of the procharger instead of the throttle body. Also the front section closest to the grill on the Roush would have to be removed since there is procharger tubing in the way.
what grille is that!!?
Where did you get your grille?
albaro ramirez American Muscle. It’s the RTR upper and lower grills.
😍😍
I'm curious what kind of gas mileage difference do you see with the pro charger.
It's been awhile but I believe I was around 21.6 before and 19.5 after. I've since gone E85 and have dropped to 15.4 lol
Doomsday410 okay awesome thanks man! That doesn’t seem too bad considering all of the upgrades and the 3.73 gears and you have fun when you drive lol thanks for the quick response I really enjoy your channel keep it up man.
David Hancock Will do thanks!
Is pinning the crank pulley really necessary? Thank you.
I thought the kit was a complete bolt on, no drilling, cutting, etc.
dhsw41800 yes have to drill the crank it’s very easy with the kit they give you. The drill bit cuts through it like nothing.
Where did you get your badge bud?
Larri's Blog EBay but I don’t think they have these same ones anymore
How much horse power
What happens to the gas mileage after the procharger from 19 city/30highway ->???
Dropped to about 17.5 city. Don’t remember the highway mpg. I’ve since upped the boost and gone e85 so mpg is terrible now but not something I’m worried about.
Where did you install it
Evertz Averruz I had the procharger and driveshaft installed at a local speed shop called Delk Performance.
Too bad they don’t carry that kit anymore, I really wanted to save up and boost my v6
Grass 2988 AM doesn’t but these guys do. lmr.com/item/PR-1FT412-SCI/mustang-v6-procharger-supercharger-kit-1516-1ft412-sci
where can i buy this pro charger link ???

0-60 time?
IamFreeSpirited I’ve maybe done 6-8 0-60 runs the entire time I’ve had my car. I think my best is a 5 flat maybe with no traction. Car has mid-4’s in it from a power perspective but traction on the street is nonexistent. I focus my efforts on prepped surfaces and time slips. People always ask so I made video anyway of 0-60 ruclips.net/video/9RJd_lMtDi4/видео.html
How much power you pushing?
Joel Adame 409hp 352tq at the wheels
I just started tuning my procharger with MPT and it appears I have a bad fuel pump check valve. My engine turns over numerous times before starting. Like you, I upgraded my fuel pump to the DW400. Maybe one thing has nothing to do with the other but I did not have this problem with the stock components. My installer wants to see if the tuner can increase the duration of the prime feature on start up which sounds like a bandage to me. This install has not been without its challenges. I ready to get the hiccups behind me.
dhsw41800 Do you have an IG account? Thinking we could chat a little quicker in a DM maybe. Or if email is better you can hit me up at doomsday410official@gmail.com
