Has he written about the trip? Or did they go.? The "haul road" from Fairbanks to Prudhoe can be a nightmare. I have seen low boy trailers crack at -50 & -60 F in Dead Horse. Dave DeSpain road from NC to Dead Horse on his KLR. Most people don't want anything bigger to ride there. BTW: IF you have to be rescued by Alaska authorities, you have to pay for it!
@@llano19fly not sure if this was directed at my trip but I did the trip and tagged Inuvik and Deadhorse. no issues. I did do a ride report on adv-rider
@@JohnOgdenJr Kudos to you. The Alcan hwy is tuff. Most people take it in late winter before the thaw. Alaska is one place that will challenge all who attempt it.
I had to modify the lower tree by shaving a lot of metal off to clear the neck in order for it to be able to swing in both directions. I also had to "redo" the fork stop.
I was talked into having my 87 fxr motor built with a 89 inch stroker kit instead of the 111 I really love how runs ! what's a better choice 89 stroker or 111? thanks
theres no way in hell I would ever do that to an FXR, but it doesnt matter cuz Mr Rob here seems to love it. Nice job going against the mold I guess haha
@@rouserworks Thanks Rob. Does it work well for you? I'm going to 25mm axles/bearings but I just bit the bullet and paid through the nose for a Delkron transmission case that's machined for a digital sensor.
Nice bike Love the fat 16" front. It just looks right.
I like how the aircleaner cover changed threw out the video. Loving the old school dual throat style cover
And the tyres haha
One of the best looking bikes I’ve seen built... nice
How he painted the inside of the ferring is bitchin.... 🤘
This is by far my FAVORITE FXR so far! She's a BEAUTY!
Looks really good with a fat front tire.
Totally dig going in the opposite direction of the FXR hot boi crowd.
One of my favorite bike bro. Well done. You have taste my friend
Beautiful bike. I like the big front end and the tire hugging fender. I've ridden in Alaska. Your bike won't be pretty when you get back.
Sweet looking sport bagger you built, just add bags as needed 💚. 👌💨
You will get rain, when I the sportster up to Deadhorse it rained almost every evening. Can’t wait to see the footage from that ride, sounds great 👍🏻

Great looking fat FXR!!
Such a nice bike
Bike is awesome!
Great looking bike.
I like it. I wish S&S would drop a 111 in my lap
badsanta518 same here lol
Memphis Shade faring? looks bad ass
Yes the Road Warrior with an 11" shield. Great part, well made!
The inside of the fairing is great. Is that the "road warrior" ?
Does anyone know how the FL front end bolts onto the FXR I love the look of this?

Such a cool guy haha
That fxr rocks.
wats the brand of the short sissy bar? very nice clean look.

Who makes those Handel bars ? Oh , Nice build .
They are very own Biltwell Ape Hangers!
Wonder how the trip to Ak went?
You still running this bike Rob? Any changes or after thoughts after putting some miles on?
🔥🔥
Did that front end bolt straight in?.... or it took some changes to fit?
No, not a direct bolt on. I had to clear a bit of metal on the bottom tree as well as change up the fork stop placement.
Has the video been uploaded of the artic circle ride? Lol or Alaska w.e

not my style of bike, but nicely done, and thumbs up for the attitude.
멋진 바이크. 멋진 라이더~^^
Need a photog for the trip!? I'll join on a 1200 EVO
I like it trying to get a fairing for my 2019 breakout nothing out there keep riding dont get covid.
I have a set of bubs for sale with all the hardware. Just sayin
Hey can someone please enlighten me. What is the part coming off the forks at 2:10? Is it some kind of fork stop? Never seen that before
It's a steering stabilizer.
What fairing did you use?
🍻😎🤘🤤
👍🏼
Nice! Can someone tell me what speedo that is, and where it is picking up the speed?
It's a Trail Tech speedo, I put the pickup sensor on the rear caliper and the magnet on the disk.

@@TheJedRides yes, it works great, I use them on all my motos.
That fat front end will be nice in the long haul..
lot of work to basically make a Road King with a thinner frame. Very cool though and RKs dont look good with their bags off.
Sexy bikla dude
Probably woulda been better off with a softail. But now you'll be at the front of the pack of all ur softail homies
