    Thank you Mirjam for sharing this video. This saved me from a lot of frustration ❤ I dismantled the machine, without realising you could just only remove the two pins 😅

      Very welcome! Thanks for letting me know. I’m glad I figured it out too. I dismantled an Atlas once and I couldn’t get it back together again the same way so I left the fenders off and that’s my machine for white clay now. Never taking that one apart again 😅

    So helpful! I didn't know about cleaning the scrapers and mine cracked under pressure of built up pasta. Don't know if it will continue to work now. Fingers crossed!

    Hello one of my scraper is broken so i have bought a new set. Tried to follow your guide to remove the rods but my rods are not removable. Actually when i open I have the pointy side of the rod whereas you have a flat side! When I try to pull them out, i cannot it is stuck. Something is preventing them from coming out!
    It is the same model though I think...imperia dal 1932

      I’m sorry to hear this. I actually bought a new machine and the first time it is very hard to remove the rods but it was doable. Takes quite some strength. I’m not sure if it matters if the pointy side is the other way around. I don’t think it matters.

    1:18, what is that black thing on the plastic scraper? I am worrying it might get into your stomach with the pasta!

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  9 месяцев назад

      This is a pastamachine that is not used for making pasta, it is used for conditioning polymer clay and nothing else. The stuff you see on the scraper is the clay that gets stuck in the scrapers. Never use a pasta machine for food that is already used for clay, because exactly what you say you will eat it.

    why do you need the scrapers? won't it roll the dough with just the 2 rollers? I would prefer that, less to clean.

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  2 года назад

      You need scrapers always, otherwise the dough (or the clay) will fully stick to the rollers. I’m using my machine only with polymer clay.

    Im really liking this machine after 2 weeks of reading about pasta makers. Read all articles. Need to hear it from you, how does clay come out of this machine.? And whats any beef you may have with it if any. Thanks a bunch

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  5 лет назад

      Tim Cannon it is still great. Clay comes out smooth. Maybe the only thing is that it has less width settings compared to the Atlas. So the widest setting is slightly thinner than the widest setting of the Atlas. But that really is all I can think of.

      Mirjam Bosch yes indeed. I think people are losing their perspective about these machines, the mammoth and the dream machines look like overkill for the jeweler artist and so on. I mean are they sheeting clay to build an ARK. .? the imperia looks like the winner, hands down. Price, cleaning, performance. Ty so much for your fast reply.

      @MIBcreations  5 лет назад

      Tim you are welcome. I myself would like to be able to make larger sheets because I make larger items too. And to be able to put a whole new package through the machine attracts me too. So eventually I will buy an Elephant or Squirrel. The Mammoth is not made any more.

    Mine seems constructed slightly different. The pointy ends are facing out and it feels like there's a flat head on the other side holding it in... Seems difficult to get to the screw underneath the adjustment dial on the other side. I have the same brand and model.

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  4 года назад

      Korn ucopia yeah mine is not the newest model any more. So if I understand correctly you are talking about a second screw on the other side? As I hold my pasta machine that would be on the left side. I do not suggest to unscrew that one. Only the first one so you can slide out the rods. If that releases the scrapers then you are on the right track.

    • @kornucopia9460
      @kornucopia9460 4 года назад +1

      @@MIBcreations yeah the rods slide but only a little... Then they seem to hit a stop and can't be removed.

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  4 года назад

      Korn ucopia that is too bad!
      This probably doesn’t add anything. It were you able the remove the panel on the right?
      Nah from what you describe I think they get stuck on the left side if I understand correctly.

    • @kornucopia9460
      @kornucopia9460 4 года назад +1

      @@MIBcreations yeah I started by removing the same panel as your video but seems the rods are trapped on other side. My machine is from 2012

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  4 года назад

      Korn ucopia well it’s good to know this if I or other people would want to buy a new one. Although I think I would prefer a Squirrel by Lucy Clay.
      I do hope you find another way to clean your machine!

    Miriam, have you ever taken this machine all the way apart? I just did, in order to do a deep clean of the machine, and I cannot seem to figure out how to get the knob back on. I think my brain might be broken at this point. lol Just wondering if you know how to put that part back together? Thank you so much!

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  2 года назад +1

      Hi Melissa! Sorry to hear this. I haven’t. I feel it’s clean enough the way I do it, that’s why I was so happy about it being so easy. I tried with an Atlas once and I haven’t put it back together all the way again. No fenders is fine though for that one I only use for white clay, but I found it way too hard.
      Good luck, I hope you find a solution!

    Where can I purchase new scrapers? I mean, does anyone even sell them or do I have to buy an entire new pasta machine. I have a cheapy innovee anyway, but Ive been searching for a good hour online and can find nothing about scraper replacement

      The motor that came with the pasta machine :)

      Imperia sells a model that comes with a motor versus the base model hand crank (I’ve got the old hand crank) but they do sell the motor separately online.

      Oh that is too bad, is yours an Imperia? This video is now a bit older so maybe Imperia has made changes to their design or they have different models?
      I did buy another Imperia pasta machine in the mean time and it is exactly the same as the one in the video.

    The Company does not advise to take the Machine apart to clean just use a Brush to dust out the loose dough thats it

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  5 лет назад +1

      This is not a machine used for dough. I’m not really taking it apart as you can see. That is the beauty of this machine.
      If you work with polymer clay dusting will not remove the built up clay and will stain your clay.
      So I’m only removing and putting back the scrapers.
      Of course the company would not recommend using a pasta machine for polymer clay but it is the best tool to have for it.
      It is still working perfectly after years of use.

    • @MIBcreations
      @MIBcreations  5 лет назад +1

      Also never use a machine that you used for polymer clay for food again. But that is a given for people in the polymer clay world.
