Ofcourse they would.... They are clones.... They are birthed for purpose of War.... Clonetroopers were far more superior to Imperial Stormtroopers in pretty much every way
@@cowzilla9982 From what I remember, there were two main reasons: Reason 1: The clones' loyalty isn't a guarantee. Remember Order 66? They swap on a dime to kill the Jedis they spent years with, even if it was through the use of an inhibitor chip. With that in mind, as well as Order 65 being a potential problem for Sidious, things could easily go poorly should the wrong people get the right info. Furthermore, in Legends (and maybe canon, I'm not sure), the Kamino people had made a special batch of clones specifically to fight against the Empire, and considering how easily that could've spiraled out of control while also having the posibility of one of those clones taking the place of another Empire clone, clones were a rather big risk even if they were superior. Reason 2: While the clones were superior to storm troopers in essentially every way, they had an issue. Namely, the people of Kamino may have been wiped out by the Empire and the Empire wouldn't be able to keep up as quality of clones as before, especially since Jango's sample was already starting to go. With that, while they could still use clones, they'd start to have bigger risks of bad cloning like 99 and otherwise start to produce rather lack luster results, and it'd not get better until they got a new cloning base. Without the Kaminoans, clones weren't ever going to be as quality. @@ViceN53X damn straight they didn't. I still remember that quote above all else. Battlefront 2 was and still is One of the best star wars games out there👍💯
I really don't get this argument that stormtroopers suck, or that they have bad aim. Of course they miss their shots, because they're aiming at the main characters half the time. They can't kill the main characters for crying out loud. When the script allows the Empire to win, they do it effectively (the opening sequence of ANH, the Battle of Hoth). Obi Wan himself complimented the Empire for its well trained soldiers. That alone is enough evidence for me, because again, they can't kill the main characters. The problem is that the stormtroopers weren't given enough time to actually fight and kick ass, not that they sucked.
Timothy Rapone I feel the same way about them. Whenever people say that stormtroopers can't shoot I say something like 'then explain how they wiped out the rebels on Leia's ship or how quickly Echo base was over run.'
It's actually due to the weapons and armour they use. The E-11 is a very inaccurate weapon (Read the Imperial Handbook, it claims the E-11 to be quite a bad weapon) and, as Rex stated, the helmets seem to limit visibility. The Stormtroopers we see in ANH have the element of surprise in a sense. and the AT-ATs have what I can assume targeting computers. If the STs had the same Weapons and armour as the CTs, then the Rebellion wouldn't even been considered note worthy as the Rebels wouldn't have been able to match that type of firepower.
I get it- the empire is cheap. But I don't think the Emperor was that much of a cheapskate to buy that bad of weapons. No way. The theory that they were allowed to escape makes much more sense. And, the stormtrooper helmet also has a better explanation. Once the helmet was removed from the original owner, all the internal systems would shut off, so they'd be left with no enhancements and just the small eyeholes. Also, clone helmets don't have much bigger eyeholes at all. Except they were all CGI so no one complained about limited eyesight. So, the clones should have had just as bad aim. This makes much more sense. Also, that isn't much of an element of surprise. The rebels were all waiting at the door anticipating their attack, and there was a good second or two of sparks before the door exploded open. If anything, the rebels should have had the upper hand, all the stormtroopers were coming from the same small doorway. Instead, the stormtroopers had minimal casualties.
Tim Rapone Yes about the Tantive IV scene. And those were not rookies, either. I think the rebels were some type of commandos. That scene was meant to show that Stormtroopers were a force to be feared, but people always forget it for some reason.
Tim Rapone I can see the point you're making. With the argument about the helmets, the Clones were bred especially to wear them. Jango and Boba Fett also wore T-shaped visors, and they were the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. Same as the CTs helmets. A T-shaped visor would offer way more of a view port than the STs two eyehole visor. And the Clones got even more visibility in phase 2 armour as the eyeholes were larger. Then STs have two eyeholes one either side, which would hinder their and eyesight. Even Luke in ANH said that he couldn't see with the helmet on. I realise my reason of surprise on the Tantive was a bad reason to give. The STs did have the upper hand despite the Rebels all being at the door. The E-11 is inaccurate, but has a powerful kick to it. That's why the halls of the Tantive are the perfect battleground to utilise them for the straight narrow hallways, as opposed to big hangars/battlefields.
Simple rule to distinguish Imperial forces from Republic forces when pitted against each other: Troop skill/training: Republic > Empire Weapons/Vehicles/tech: Empire > Republic
trivipesnipe On starfighters, the Ties COULD be better than Republic ones [TIE Defender best example] They chose to go for overwhelming numbers instead. Sure one standard Republic fighter [ARC-170, V-19, maybe not V-wing] could beat a TIE fighter/interceptor, but there would be more likely 6 TIEs to every 1 Republic starfighter.
+Kal'sik “Vader21175” Herensk you seem to ignore the fact that the At-at, imperial/victory destroyers, all started off in republic service. But yeah, main thing is clones can aim.
I think the most surprising part is how insanely large AT-ATs are compared to AT-TEs, especially considering how big those are portrayed in the Clone Wars
Watching this only makes me miss clone wars more. Rebels just isn't the same and the rounded faces are just off putting. Can't take it seriously. The best parts of Rebels involve flashbacks to the clone wars. It can't stand on its own merits. I mean the latest episode or two was on the power of friendship for fucks sake. They canceled the series before the siege of Mandalore, invasion of coruscant, and even an order 66 episode for this? I mean even the force awakens doesn't have thin light sabers or awful looking laser blasts and that's going for the nostalgia factor too. Not to mention Kallus is no where near as threatening as the other constantly appearing villains from the clone wars. He's more like team rocket. Seriously miss Clone Wars.
+Imperial Scholar Expert no I don't mind the changes. You guys are just being extremely opinionated and trying to paste them as fact which they aren't. I'm not going to continue this conversation because I have better things to do then go into a ongoing argument.
The one issue i have with this scene is how ineffective the AT TEs mass driver is, when it was probably a powerful enough weapon to do some serious damage to the AT AT
Seems Legit yeah not to mention in clone wars episode an AT TE of anakin Skywalker battalion destroy a separatist munificent battle cruiser with few shots .
True, but do remember that gun is probably about 20 years old and was most probably poorly maintained during that time frame from lack of resources, I'm personally surprised it didn't overheat every other shot

@@banatul6367 Well the main reason they betrayed the Empire is because they were being treated unfairly, so their mindset was "If they can't treat us with respect then we won't give them anymore soliders."
Although in Battlefront 2, the clone production was exclusively for the 501st while the rest of the empire became more and more diverse.
They never got use to the new guys.

"Just like the old days." You can almost see a tear in Rex's eye :,)
I love how the theme song of the Battle of Hoth starts to play at 0:37. So nostalgic.
Simple rule to distinguish Imperial forces from Republic forces when pitted against each other:
Troop skill/training: Republic > Empire
Weapons/Vehicles/tech: Empire > Republic
nah... simpler way to distinguish between them... CLONES DON'T MISS...
+Kal'sik “Vader21175” Herensk I wouldn't say that. Republic starfighters were way better than TIE fighters.
trivipesnipe On starfighters, the Ties COULD be better than Republic ones [TIE Defender best example]
They chose to go for overwhelming numbers instead. Sure one standard Republic fighter [ARC-170, V-19, maybe not V-wing] could beat a TIE fighter/interceptor, but there would be more likely 6 TIEs to every 1 Republic starfighter.
The republic had far better quality tech
+Kal'sik “Vader21175” Herensk you seem to ignore the fact that the At-at, imperial/victory destroyers, all started off in republic service. But yeah, main thing is clones can aim.
you got to give it to the guy that does the voice acting for the clones, that was some very convincing and emotion driven dialogue at 0:47- 0:55
I think the most surprising part is how insanely large AT-ATs are compared to AT-TEs, especially considering how big those are portrayed in the Clone Wars
Your complaints really don't make any sense
+Imperial Scholar Expert "sad truth" is hardly what I would call it.

@@eatenjaguar9854 resulting in the shots not being nearly as strong as they would in the Clone War days
Seems Legit well put it this way if a really old canon could put a hole through that walker I don’t think the battle of Hoth would play the same way
Seems Legit plus they might have tested the cannon on the walker to see if it could withstand it
How the general of Vader's private legion, and probably the clone most loyal to him isn't a Imperial Soldier or dead is beyond me..
+Knight Commander Shields Got his chip taken out, Rex was VERY free-thinking, on several occasions he had to make very important decisions. Arresting Krell for example.
+Knight Commander Shields Its actually not canon anymore, because in that very episode Rex said clonetroopers were fired and stormtroopers took over.
+That Black Stormtrooper not really, in the recent guidebook it still said the 501st is canon.
John Morgan
..... what do you mean "Not really", he actually said that they fired the clonetroopers, how did he "not really say that he fired the clones"
That Black Stormtrooper the recent Ultimate Star Wars guidebook (canon according to disney) had confirmed that the 501st (which is clones only) was still around during the GCW in disney canon. So technically Kalus was incorrect.
One of my favorite scenes in the series, particularly seeing the energy of the Clones going into battle. Very reminiscent of Clone Wars to me. I’ll take this over anything that was offered in this recent sequel trilogy!!
"Intensify forward firepower!"
What? That's your ONLY firepower.

The point of this was to show that Republic tech was superior to Imperial tech. The Empire wasn't fighting any large scale wars anymore, the ATAT's would be the only mechs on the field pretty much.

I love when Rex shouts “Come out and Fight u Cowards!!” This shows how much of a brave soldier he truly is surviving through the Clone Wars and numerous other fights over the last several years shows that even though he’s aged significantly this man doesn’t need advanced weapons or endless numbers this is a man who steps in front of an AT AT and fully challenges the Empire to hand to hand combat showing no fear and full defiance to the Empire and ready to die fighting for what’s right that’s a true soldier and leader
this is an early prototype AT-AT .I'm pretty sure that's why the blaster cannons didn't completely obliterate the AT-TE.
