Thanks so very much for posting this. I especially appreciate your interpolating a video clip containing scenes from the movie during the playing of the "Theme from 'A summer place':". A beautiful film, and with all due respect to Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue, watching it now, at the age of 69, I am so impressed by seeing a bunch of terrific "old pros" delivering the goods: Richard Egan, Arthur Kennedy, Constance Ford, Beulah Bondi, and most especially Dorothy McGuire, giving another her delicate, understated performances. Sadly, the large white Victorian mansion shown in the movie as the hostelry was a real home in Carmel, California, and was badly burned in a fire in 2021, and was demolished in 2022. It is shown on the window card displayed here.
