    It's called Mormon gaslighting. The stuff I was taught as a child, they're trying to say nahhh, nobody's perfect! Mistakes were made. Sometimes prophets are just speaking as a man! But that's not what we were taught!

      100%, if joseph smith is the so-called prophet he wouldn't be teaching false doctrine. if mormons today won't own up to the errors of the king follett sermon, they should renounce it, instead of trying both affirm and deny it. that's schizophrenia.

    The time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and curing all manner of diseases (Mosiah 3:5).

      i don't know what you are quoting, but i presume it's mormon approved texts, maybe the book of mormon. the lesson is, even mormon teachings contradict. outside the fact that it's all fake, the book of mormon actually doesn't teach much heresy. but joseph smith himself taught lots of error, especially the king follett sermon. no wonder mormons are trying to distance themselves from it.

    The real challenge is determining if Joseph Smith actually even taught some of the things that were published in this supposed sermon after his death. It's difficult to find a second witness documented in Joseph Smith's life to reinforce some of the teachings in that sermon. If Joseph only ever said it once, and he purportedly said it in the last couple months of his life, then that to me is suspect of being an actual teaching of Joseph Smith. It's not throwing him under the bus, but it is recognizing that I possibly history has been altered much more than we previously thought. In fact, the teachings that are found in the king fall at discourse that do not align with Joseph Smith's other documented teachings are more closely matched to things that Brigham Young his successor taught. It is Brigham Young that confessed to ordering the alteration of church history. If Brigham Young doctored the contents of this supposed sermon, then it takes a great spirit of discernment to begin to understand what was altered, and why it was altered. I think the Mormonism of Joseph Smith was greatly different than the Mormonism of Brigham Young. In fact, Brigham Young reestablished the church with new baptisms and new order of operations. He even included a new setting for Zion. When you look at native American sacred writings, you see that they align more so with the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and things that Joseph Smith taught rather than things that Brigham Young said. Brigham Young sermons were much more closely documented, so it gives us a good idea of what the successor spoke about. Anyway, just some things to think about before jumping off the deep end and trying to heap more upon Joseph Smith than is truthfully allotted to him.

      are you kidding me? after all these years and mormons are don't know what their founder joseph smith taught? what a joke. this is all mormon rationalization and gaslighting. and besides, your church in the past didn't doubt what joseph smith taught because past presidents have taught the same thing. stop trying to spin things and act like there is some conspiracy by some to mischaracterize the teachings of joseph smith. mormons pasted along the sermons and teachings and doctrines of joseph smith, and to now question these teachings is indeed throwing joseph smith under the bus. as a real christian, i welcome mormons from throwing out the teachings of joseph smith, but don't try to lie and say he never to these things. be honest. stop acting like there is any question. the issue of whether the king follett sermon is authentic was settled long ago, stop trying to backtrack and rewrite history. you lose all respect if you do.

God's marvelous work and a wonderful is going to flip all of these supposed settled historical points on their head. He did it before the Babylonian conquest and he's doing it again now.

      @@christiananswers4054 I know very well to not put my faith in men. I believe in the heresies of heaven that are a threat to modern Mormonism and Christianity as a whole which is that great and abominable w-h-o-r-e that has taken the name of Christ in vain. I don't know you, and I don't know if you know what real Christianity, but I see God working in all sects to bring them out of idolatry and adultery to be given power to become the children of Christ. God will make all those who think they are wise and know truth to be ashamed of their supposed and feigned understanding, even all those Christians who think they are converted to "real Christianity." @@christiananswers4054 yes, I can witness of that as God performed that work in my life. He will make all those who think they are wise and know truth to be ashamed of their supposed wisdom and be made foolish and humble. Mormonism has fallen into the same lump as Christianity being children of that great and abominable you-know-what that is idolatrous and adulterous. No faith in men or trusting in the arm of flesh. No denying God's Word. We must all be united. Sectarianism is a sin and cannot exist in the kingdom of heaven.

    @orthodoxcatholic....
    What you have said there is an nonsense, the Jehovah's Christian Witnesses have always taught that God is Almighty. They just do not believe that Jesus is God.. The Bible calls Jesus God's servant and explains that Jesus only had power because Jehovah was with him, and it was Jehovah that raised him from the dead, and it was Jehovah that foretold that the messiah would come and it was Jehovah that transferred Jesus from heaven to the womb of Mary.. That's the reason why witnesses don't believe Jesus is God , but they do believe God is Almighty.

    'To become God Almighty' Mormons like the JW don't actually believe God is Almighty. The father in the Mormonism isn't omnipresent, it's questionable if he's omniscient, is he omnipotent? He's technically not the oldest god or the only one

    The Trinity and the concept is not found in the Bible. Just mentioning three things together doesn't make a trinity.. Baptising in the name of the father and the son is one thing. But what is the name of the Holy Spirit? And don't say Holy Spirit because that's a title.Give me the name of the holy spirit.

    • @christiananswers4054
      @christiananswers4054  5 месяцев назад

      why include the Holy Spirit in the baptism formula? answer that. the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Why include the Holy Spirit on the same level as the Father and Son? it would be blasphemy to do so unless the Holy Spirit were full deity. you can't deal with matthew 28, and until you deal honestly with it, you have no criticism of orthodox christianity.

      @@christiananswers4054
      Inclusion of the holy spirit in the baptism formula is the clue to what is actually been said, Because the Holy Spirit does not have a name therefore It means the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, the power and authority of Jehovah, and the power and authority of Jesus Christ... The Holy Spirit is directly from Jehovah God, hence its called God's Holy Spirit, so baptising in the name of it is the same as baptising in the name of the law....It's the power and authority that the law holds.. It's the same thing being mentioned in matthew 19... Matthew recorded Jesus as saying... "go therefore and baptize"... in the power and the authority of the name of God who has given all authority to the son to use the power and have the authority of Jehovahs holy spirit as a seal that you disciple baptise from the true God....in his name and with his approval....that's what it all means.
