If you haven't I highly suggest you watch the FNAF VHS tapes by Squimpus McGrimpus. While not entirely lore accurate it gives a great interpretation of the events of the games while also being creepy. The VHS tapes also gives a motive for William's actions, wanting to kill Michael for the death of C.C. But since he can't kill his son without getting caught he killed the missing children. Spuimpus did an amazing job.
