I play a bunch of doom and stoner rock so most of my guitars are tuned to B&C standard. its so nice to hear some one playing the S10V in with the same tuning as me!!! haha. This makes me want to get an actual baritone now though :/ Thanks Emily! You're awesome!!!
@@GetOffset Awesome! I was saying that to people who are on the fence. You can rewire a guitar (CTS pots, Switchcraft jack and switch, good capacitors) for $80 or less for a Les Paul type guitar vs $300+ a shop would charge you. That's just one job! So basically a GOOD solder setup pays for itself within a job or two with everything you need. 😉👍✨
At 23 minutes I was cheering internally that you got those pickups wired correctly! I know zip about wiring pickups so you did better than I would have!
Wow that Lap Steel pickup is great and a wonderful build. My daughter is thinking that when my bass is done she might actually want to build a guitar if it is just plug the wiring in. Thanks for bringing that to video.
I love my baritones! I'm building a tele w/a spalted maple body, and a wild bird's eye maple neck w/a wild stripey fretboard. I have to teach myself to solder now. Yikes. I bought my first offset guitar. It's actually a Squire bass VI, but it has six strings, anyway. Your baritone turned out great.
@@GetOffset I was thinking about checking them out, because soldering sounds like a nightmare. I will check them out for sure, now. I have to find a nice, hot soapbar P-90 for the neck. Any ideas or recommendations?
@@GetOffset Well, I'm going to have to learn to solder after all. Gunstreet doesn't make the harness I need any more. Oh well. I guess it's a skill I should have, anyway.
That turned out really nice. I am just learning to solder, then I will be replacing all the wiring in all my Squires and Michael Kelly guitars. The body of the guitar looks amazing.
I saw that you have a Stringjoy sticker with those strings. I just got 3 sets last week and thought, "HEY! I didn't get a sticker! But then I remembered I haven't opened the package yet..." So I got THAT going for me...which is nice!
I got something that came with a soldering iron and some basic projects. Amazon has a bunch of simple soldering projects. I'd say a decent iron, RUclips tutorials, and some things like this would be great amzn.to/4doGUO7
Fantastic job! I absolutely love it and I think it looks and sounds amazing! I also absolutely love that tele body, with the different woods and colors etc...absolutely awesome! Greatly enjoyed the video!
This Gunstreet five way system would really be cool in the new Fender Player 2 Jaguar guitar, make it less vanila. Great job on this build, it looks fantastic and sounds great Emily!😎👍✨
It looks and sounds great! I've seen a couple other channels use that same body maker, I will have to check them out. No pickguard was the right call. Solderless definitely seems the way to go in terms of making it very easy (and mess free) to troubleshoot.
I bought a Squier FSR Custom Classic Vibe Baritone Telecaster.... Purple sparkle. Wished I used it more than I do. Paid $579 due to the custom color because you can still get one form under $500 at Sweetwater. Used to solder daily in the 70's when I worked for Eventide but rather than to buy a soldering iron, solder, and whatever other tools one might need, it was just simpler to buy a guitar. You STILL have to solder the jack/ground wire even with those solder less harness's. Enjoy your Bari ! p.s...I put 15-60 flats on mine. Love flat wounds.
I loved the tones you got out of this setup, Emily! I'm constantly chasing instruments with more pups for more options, but this is something I never knew existed, a 5 way with two pickups!
How difficult would it be to put a third wire on a pickup if I wanted to use was not a standard issue telecaster pickup? Because I'd like to have switching like this in a PJ bass.
I do say in the video. The body was about $100, I don't remember what the neck costs exactly but most of the stuff other than the body has been laying around my house for years.
Awesome build!!
Thank you!

Down tuning is life
Haha, I didn't know that-that's awesome!
Gunstreet is awesome!
That said if you want to save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars learn to solder. The more you do it the better you get!😉👍✨
I know how to solder and I do it fairly often.

Thanks for an entertaining video! Your facial expressions playing it were probably the biggest indicator of the joy it was giving you!
Thanks so much!!!

Oh my gosh that's a great idea! Definitely check out Gunstreet's new harnesses. They were a time-and-life saver.

Hey, you don't have to learn how to solder! I used a solderless kit from Gunstreet for this build.

I'd like to learn to solder. Can you recommend a good "learn to solder" kit like you mentioned using?

Thanks for the kind words!
Right on that Telle body wood color is badass and I'm sold on the solderless kit it all came out nice sounding. Really good turnout.
Oh yeah! That lap steel in the bridge works great with the 27” scale!
Sooooo good 👏👏👏

I HIGHLY recommend nomoonlaser after this experience. Also, the wiring harness, obvi.

I didn't know, either, but now I want it in EVERYTHING.
I used Gunstreet for my offset build!
That's awesome! I use them for literally every build or swap I do.
I literally just ordered a body from and a Esquire wiring harness to build a Bari-squire build. This is awesome.

I know there are videos about it, but I haven't done that mod yet.
@@GetOffset thanks, I looked up some videos and it looks like the third wire isn't needed unless it's a tele pickup so it's going to be ok
I built my Jazzmaster with a Nomoonlaser body. Those bodies are great.
I'm absolutely going there for my next build, too!
Lots of fun. Congrats!
Just casually sticking in Hey Sandy again!! 😂 Great project, Emily!
Thanks so much 💜
What is a finish wire?
The fret wire? I'm not sure, but I got it from the Fender site. It's just their basic Bari conversion neck.
@@GetOffset Ah, sorry. I was referring to the three wires on the Lollar neck pickup. You referenced the hot, ground and finish wire.
I’m a fan of the four-way, too.
This turned out great Emily! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much!
This is one of the best builds I've watched. I thought it would sound good, but it actually sounds absolutely amazing!! So well done!
Wow, thank you!
Well Done!! Sounds and looks amazing!!
Thanks so much!
You can always shim the neck if deepening the nut slots don't get the action where you'd like it - 'Works great. And loving the Vince Guaraldi!
This is true! And probably something I'll look into, but thanks for reminding me!
Awesome knives!
So cool, sounds killer.
Thanks so much!
Ugh, you're not helping my need for a baritone :'(
Man, I missed the premiere. 😿
Watching now..
I promise you didn't! Sometimes it's hard to do premieres with launches
Uh….did you mean $1000 build? That neck alone has to be like what $300 ish?
I do say in the video. The body was about $100, I don't remember what the neck costs exactly but most of the stuff other than the body has been laying around my house for years.
@@GetOffsetgot it. Title got my hopes up you were gonna show me how to build one for $100 😭Cool guitar tho
