Mounting Method Beadgrip Wheels

- Decided it was time to put these wheels to the test. We had heard a lot of good feedback from them but I didn't feel like people were ready to go and really beat up their $2000 wheel and tire package hard enough to see what tire pressure you can run the wheels at. I gave it my best shot. See the next video to find some results.
This was super helpful! I really appreciate the detail!! Also, bad news.. now I know who to ask for next time I call MRW hahah
Send it dude. I'm your guy
They look awesome. Have you tried getting a tire off the 701 yet? It was a bit of a surprise, not in a good way! Sick wheels though.
Yes I have. Just need to make sure the spoon on the tire changing machine is tight and all the way up to the bead of the tire!
These wheels are dope. Can't wait to get them for my Taco. I'll never need a bead lock so these are perfect!
Rad man. I think you'll like them a lot. I just went on a 1300 mile road trip with them to the Grand Canyon and back. Did the Mojave trail and some dirt along the way and was stoked on how well they worked. It's been probably 5 years or so since I had a set of balanced tires on the truck haha.
Method needs to get rid of all of the fake bead locks.
Not if we want to stay in business! haha But the beadgrip stuff is rad and I'm personally super stoked we were the company who came out with it!
Did you buy your tires at one shop and have them mounted at another shop?
My buddy Blake Wilkey supplied them for me. Very fortunate to have friends in low places haha
Need the double standard with the bead grip!!!!
Agreed. We need all of our wheels to be offered in that option.
Should have just tapered the backside of all the wheels instead of drilling the holes bigger.
That could have worked. But the taper on the lug nut is more then enough clamping force.
The sound is so much better, and get a new camera?
Just a new mic. Pretty sure the old mic I had was broken from day one. It's night and day better!
Seen your truck in a method wheels commercial... 👍
Bad ass! Where at?
Test drives are great, but to me these wheels are snake oil until Method puts out some repeatable test data. They shouldn't be counting on their sales reps to prove that these things work. I'm sure Method has some engineers on staff, put them to work.

They have. I just wanted some real world testing on the product vs a machine test. I feel like actually taking a truck out is the best way to truly see how something performs.
You're my hero, Wally. I've been looking for numbers and couldn't find them. Now, please tell anyone that will listen, 17"x8.5" 8x6.5" +18mm. Method would sell the crap out of them to Power Wagon and go-fast-off-road Cummins owners.
@@jsievert2 Yes... Been in talks with trying to get something going on that wheel size/offset for a while. We do a ton of business with CJC and they have been saying the same thing for a while. Just an FYI thought... 17x8.5" with a +25 offset is what fits well for our wheel line. It give's it a 5.75" backspace. We do offer the Standards in that wheel size/bolt pattern but nothing with Bead Grip.
Been done, FMVSS DOT 139 bead unseat test results have been shared with everyone on Method's email list.
Awesome couple of videos! Looking forward to installing a set on my truck. Pardon my ignorance, but what’s the deal with the 5/8” studs and lugs? Added strength? I don’t go fast with my truck which is why I ask.
