Hey everyone welcome back to another video. Today I am super excited were taking a loof at GD top of the line travel trailer. This is the 2021 Grand Design Reflection 312bhts. What I love about this trailer is that it gives you all the luxury of the reflection brand but in a bunk house.

Anyone familiar with Keep Your Daydream should be familiar with this layout and product.
It's a really fantastic floorplan, wish reflection fifth wheel had this floorplan with a rectangle shower instead of the radius shower
We actually live full time in this unit (2019 model). We love it.
what are the water/Black/grey tank capacity?
We love it! We have a teenager (15 yrs old) who is almost 6’ tall. Very comfortable for him. This is our 3rd winter full time in this rig. It’s great

Actually I feel this is the opposite. Lol. So many 5th wheels and travel trailers for couples only. With only convertible sofas.
Great layout, nice to see a travel trailer that would actually work for our family. Also nice that there isn't a million tv's.

Looks like the perfect permanent lake lot model. Now if I owned a lake lot that permitted trailers.

Agree with your dislikes..not much to dislike. Totally doable for full timing. The amount of storage is awesome. The sink and oven are full sized! That bathroom hey Matt and Will actually could both fit and get by each other. Nice nice.

My 3's: Likes 1. The outdoor kitchen! Finally, one that actually deserves the title. 2. The living room and kitchen layout, especially the 4 door fridge. 3. Spacious rooms. Dislikes: 1. It needs a 2nd AC to adequately ventilate the bunk room. 2. I don't like the carpeted slide areas. 3. Would like to see it with a king bed.

😍I like the subway tile and lots of storage in the kitchen/The reclining theater seats are very nice/It's always awesome to have a washer and dryer and a perfect height for a tall person in the shower with a clothes liner! 🙁Actually, everything I also agree with everything that was said on the outside of the trailer.
Love the bunk house set up, outside kitchen and bathroom. You would think on this nice a unit, auto level would be standard equipment. Also, a split awning like on Cross Roads. One for the front and one on the slide to give you plenty of shade. One last point, why are not more manufacturers putting in 12 volt 10.7 cubic foot refrigerators??
That is the nicest bunkhouse travel trailer that I have ever seen. Very spacious! Great review on a great brand!

Grand design doesn’t mess around. Although, pulling something that heavy, I’d rather a 5th wheel with this floor plan.
3 LOVES:
Incredible outdoor kitchen; So much storage in the entire unit; The 2-way fridge; A lot to love about this unit
3 DISLIKES:
Awning goes over the slide out; Only one AC unit; No solid steps, which surprises me for the price of this unit...lol y’all agreed with me on the dislikes.
Like: Finally a washer/dryer option on a travel trailer!
Dislike: It should be in the bunk room to have more storage space in the bedroom!
If you don't need an outside kitchen, I think you could put the washer and dryer there. That will then give you the closet space in the bedroom.
Here we go now. I like 1) the outdoor kitchen, 2) the washer dryer prep, & 3) the bunks / seating in the bunkhouse. I dislike 1) the entertainment center in the bunkhouse, 2) the odd counter space by the sliding or pocket door in the back, & 3) the steps. That’s it; that’s the list.
Grand Design has the best floor plans. This almost fifth wheel type floor plan. The kitchen and outside kitchen are awesome. I could easily full time in this trailer! Is a 12 volt compressor fridge an option on this trailer?

I like this layout! I don't need an outside kitchen so I would put the washer and dryer there. That would free up closet space in the bedroom. Also, what size was the living room TV? Could it go a little larger? Lots of counter space for coffee maker, crock pot, and air fryer. Nice and open plan. I wouldn't mind a little more storage underneath. Perhaps you can just get rid of the outside kitchen and keep the washer/dryer in the bedroom. I like this one.

Hi ya Matt, about this model. There’s no “awnings” over the slides to protect from falling debris from getting directly onto the slides. In bunk areas looked like you almost bumped your head on the upper bunk when you sat on the couch. Did they fix the kitchen island issue? They were putting only one screw on each corner. Islands were doing a titanic in the floor. A good about the trailer is washer dryer prepped. And it has storage for days. Keep up the great work guys.

I love the bedroom storage and washer/dryer hookups. The bathroom on a travel trailer is great. The bunk house is good for families or a couple with grand kids.
I don't like the entry stairs. I don't like just one AC unit.and I really don't like the awning, they should have put another awning on the slide out.

This Trailer looks wonderful, I agree with your likes and dislikes,But with the price point, I really think the second and possibly 3rd TV should have also been added.

Really love the Grand Design trailers. To me, they are about the best on the market. Love the kitchen, solid surface counter tops, fridge, coffee bar, theater seating, TV placement, the bunkhouse is really good (I'd make an office out of it), good bathroom, nice bedroom, just a lot to like. I think it would have been better with a separate awning on the slide out, needs the solid steps (even though those are good steps already on it, the solid steps are just better in every way), I really don't understand why they didn't go ahead and put the 2nd A/C unit on it from the factory (it just doesn't make sense), but other than that, this is a great unit. Thanks again for another great video!
They are shipping them with the 2nd AC unit now. We just bought one last month. And we made the bunkroom into a den. Took down the fold up bunk, stored both mattresses and put our dog crates (with cute covers) on the bunk above the cabinets. So much room. We even put a book case and small side table in there and it's still so roomy.

2. Wet bay area is nice
3. The opposing slide outs makes for a nice open space in the living area, subway tile backsplash
4. Bathroom is a good size, shower and PPP
5. Kitchen Island
Dislikes:
1. Queen Bed and that bed above the couch it should fold out the way it didn't look comfortable
2. Needs to have 2 A/Cs Texas is hot
3. The distance of the ladder needs some kind of extension step and the solid steps
4. Put the TV on a Televator and get it out of the way when you need the counter.
5. Don't like the wall between the freezers not sure why you would separate it
We are in Texas and the dealers here order them with 2 AC units. They add $1,000 but it worth it! The freezers don't keep things real cold so the partition helps. You don't have to open both sides to get something out. We're really happy with ours.

Dislikes: One AC? Come on, 6 gallon water heater - should be tankless, propane fridge is crap

Great unit. Love bunk house. Love love kitchen. Would never reach the outside kitchen at 4’11”. Lol. Wonderful bedroom. No carpet nice. Needs the second AC.
Y does one seat back on the booth have a plaid and one is solid. Is it reversible?

I agree. We are getting ready to paint the entire inside of the trailer! Walls and cabinets. I love the farmhouse look so we are going with light grey walls, white uppers and slate blue lowers. The current cabinets are pretty dark and I think it will look stunning when we are done!

This is the same make and model Five2go started out with, full timing in. 3 dislikes: only one a.c., solid starts, rather have the awing more over the front of the trailer than the tip out. 3 likes: size of the kitchen, the bunk house, and the master bedroom isn't on a slide out

I really like the cabinet space in the bunkhouse room. Almost every bunk house RV I've seen has no storage for the kids stuff, so their clothes and toys would be everywhere. I do not like the dinette. Bunkhouse RVs have trouble balancing living space with sleeping space. This RV has sleeping space for 5-7 people, depending on whether or not you fold out the couch in the bunk room, and it seats 2 in the living area. At least make swapping that dinette for a couch or sectional an option if you insist on having a dinette.
good video, but as a near full-timer those fold down-stairs bite hard. The old fashion pullouts like on this trailer are the best for those who live in or spend weeks at a time in their trailer traveling about.
Nice Job Matt and Will.. Question: Does the Bunk House have Ladders? Plus no TV in the Bedroom or Bunkhouse for $55,000+...😔 Also for that Price no Slide Awnings.. Just Saying.. How much more would that cost $1,000 maybe.. Smh
Did they use asdel(sp?) fiberglass? Seems expensive... what type is the a/c? We recently purchased a 2020 starcraft autumn ridge 32bhs, -love it (do you sell those?) . Will- you're doing a fantastic job - enjoy watching this channel
I like all the bunk room could be on a motor home I like to ride in my home not a pulling a trailer
Three things I like are....the bunkhouse, the space in the bedroom and and the kitchen area. Three things I dislike are...the tv in the living area seems in a weird place, at that price point should have the two other TVs and I don’t like the dinette would prefer a table and chairs.
There is a lot of storage under the bench seats in the dining room. They don't show it but we keep our winter stuff in there.
I love love this travel trailer we have been looking to purchase our very first one we have 5 kids the only down side is that it’s too much weight for my Cadillac Escalade ESV 😔

The 3 things I like about this travel trailer:
1. the outside kitchen: my one gripe is that the counter is a little too high
2. plenty of space in the bedroom and prepped for washer and dryer
3. the bunkhouse: tri fold sofa, a spot for a TV, top bunk flips up and has strut arms
The 3 things I don't like about this travel trailer:
1. carpet
2. one A/C unit installed and prepped for 2nd
3. slide out takes away space under the awning, and the awning does not continue over the outside kitchen
The only carpet is on the slides where the cabinets and furniture sits. The rest is really nice vinyl plank.

37 feet long? 11000#, 1000# hitch weight? Ahh.....Seriously, you would have to be a professional truck driver or have 30 years experience driving a trailer to haul this. 3 things we don't like, 1: Why the counter space in front of the TV, and why not a larger TV? 2. Cannot sit upright on cough in the bunk house, and why if its $50000, does it NOT Come with a TV in there? 3. Interior overall looks cheap. Like:: 1. Love exterior, beautiful. 2. Outside kitchen. 3. Nice bathroom, but would like to see 1/2 bath in the Bunkhouse or just outside of it. Matt, I agree, why in the world would you expect 1 AC unit to keep up with 37" of trailer. Nice, but for the price of this and a 1 ton truck, you could buy a nice motorhome, and have something much easier to drive, at least that would be my opinion. Thanks Matt & Will.
Does Grand Design do the televator option?
One AC unit? Now that is cheap and it's a high end trailer, NOT. For a bunkhouse it's a nice trailer just a shame on the lack of what should be standard, 2nd AC, Max fan covers etc. .
If you don't have a back bumper, where do you store to slinky stinky after use?
The storage tube is underneath the unit close to the black connector.
I don't like the tv on the side in the bedroom. Living space seemed cramped. That outside kitchen is massive.
The inside is actually very spacious. With the dual slides in the main room it is very comfortable.

Like bunk house. For once it isn't claustrophobic. Kitchen works well but not a fan of dinette style.
Dislikes: no space for CPAP, steps, awning
Likes: bathroom, outside kitchen, bunk house
The CPAP was a challenge but it actually works ok. It sits on the 'ledge' in front of the side closet and is working fine.
Likes: great floorplan (I'd make the bunkhouse into an office), soooo much counterspace, lots of natural lighting.
Dislikes: too much dark/brown/beige, carpeted slide, ewww on the traditional/inflexible dinette.
I really like this travel trailer.

You are beyond the 250lb weight limit for that ladder. Please don't compromise the trailer's ladder prior to someone even buying it. Or lose some weight. Either or.
I don't like it that the bathroom is right there in front of the entrance.... You MUST keep that bathroom door shut!!!!
That is weird. We just keep the door shut for the most part. I put a pretty shower curtain on the shower door so if the door is open, it looks nice.
