Mitchell and Webb is an almost bottomless goldmine of comedy. My favourite sketch show since the Fast Show. Vectron, The Good Samaritan, Bronze Age Orientation, The Identity Killer, The Gift Shop Sketch, Angel Summoner and BMX Bandit, Evil Genius, Homeopathic A&E, Massive Yacht and probably a whole load more I have forgotten about.
Hi Megan, congrats on getting your cast removed, even if it is hampering your catchphrase use, fun fact, there's an armoured regiment of the British Army, the 17/21st Lancers, that have the skull and crossbones badge, along with the motto "The Death or Glory Boys".
@@MantisEnergy Yes, Frederick the Great founded the "Totenkopfhussaren" in 1741. 1st Royal Guard Hussar Regiment 2nd Royal Guard Hussar Regiment "Queen Victoria of Prussia" The Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel had also hussars in the 7 year war. It got dissolved and refounded and when later Brunswick joined the North German Confederation it got the Brunswick Hussar Regiment No 17 and got also a skull as smybol.
But PLEASE react to the last "The Mitchell and Webb Look" sketch. It's a hilarious one. It's called "Old Holmes" It is very funny and they go out on a high note.
Those tests are always done where people do bad things just because everyone else is doing them, or because they're told to by authority or simply to keep their family fed. If you're a guard and are told by authority these people are bad, then you're most likely going to do your job if you're the kind of person to apply for that role in the first place. I wouldn't ever take a job where I have to put animals down, but vets are told to put animals down all the time and most animals do not deserve it. How can people do evil things? Very easy. Constantly I've seen over the past several years "punch a Nazi" from people.... But the definition of a Nazi means anything they do not like. Suddenly we have people doing evil things to people just because of who they voted for. If the past four years has taught me anything is people just go along with authority and then do Witch hunts on the people who question anything.
The use of skulls (Totenkopf) on Nazi caps has historical and symbolic roots. The skull emblem was not an invention of the Nazis; it has a long history in European military insignia, symbolising mortality, bravery, and a reminder of the inevitability of death.
actually there is two , the Totenkopf symbol was part of Count Radetzky 5th hussard of the Austrian army circa 1798 later being two liebstandarte ( body guard) hussars regiments of the Prussian kaiser
Makes me think of Starmer and his fellow Fabians coat of arms - a wolf in sheep's clothing - and that suspicious Fabian Society stained glass window at the LSE depicting a red hot world being hammered, forged into a new shape.
Good morning Megan, I'm glad your wrist is better here! I loved the Peep Show series here. I'm glad to see your reactions towards this show who does have the cast of that show from 2015 here! Have a beautiful weekend!
The "conspiracy theories" sketches are great too.
Also "bronze orientation" and "standards".
You missed Sir Digby Chicken Caesar😂

Thank you! Oh really? That's very "baddy" of them 😂
These 2 had 3 sketch comedy shows.
😊😊😊😊😊 Good to hear your wrist is better Megan , that Welsh Air has healing properties ,both hands available now for Christmas eating and drinking ❤❤
Numberwang and the rocket science sketch should be your next stop.
Yeh the SS had skulls on their hats. The universal image for pirates. Bizarre when you think about it.
The idea of the Nazi symbols and names were to intimidate the opponents iirc
It had been used historically by the Prussians, whose land included Berlin, if my education from gaming is accurate.
A Skull IS the insignia on French Foreign Legion uniforms.

Remember the QAnon conspiracies in the States & Pizzagate?
You should do their Scooby doo sketch.
It always starts by hating them
The SS "Schutzstaffel" had the death's head or skull as their insignia. The SS were definitely the baddies.
Oh absolutely!

I'm disabled. Please don't do that. My tragedy is not a joke.
What did Megan say that made fun of people of disabilities, and don't recall her mocking any tragedies
I'm sorry Helen! I didn't mean any offence. I was just quoting the show :)
If anything, it's making fun of people who act like they are disabled when they only have minor temporary injuries, not actual disabled people.
Get over yourself Helen ffs
