Hi Anne! I have been using Frownies for my 11's for years.. I bought them after I saw Renee Russo starred in The Thomas Crowne Afffair and she told a magazine she used Frownies to age gracefully. They really have made a huge difference for me. I don't even wear them every night now. I just need to wear them twice a week to maintain it. A box lasts a long time for me - usually a year. As far as how they look - yes, they are funny to wear and my hubby gets a laugh if he sees them. I usually put them on after he's asleep anyway because I like to read my book, so he rarely sees them on my face. Men have it so easy, don't they? I spend at least 20 min or more prepping for bed and he takes less than 5 min. - not fair. I do agree that if I had to wear the Frownies near my mouth, I probably wouldn't like them. Have a good week!
My 80 yo aunt was a nurse and when I was a little girl, I remember she used to wear surgical tape across her forehead, sides of her eyes, and along smile lines. When I asked her what it was for,she said it was to prevent wrinkles. Well she still has the most gorgeous wrinkle free skin!
Have you tried the Sio patches? I've seen them advertised and Dr. Dray mentioned them on her channel. When I looked on amazon for the Sio patches I noticed the frownies advertised next to the Sio patches. I was a little skeptical - glad I watched your review.
I use to use Frownies all the time, back in the day. They work great. I slept with them on. I didn't use them all the time, but when I needed a smooth face the next day. The problem with using them now is the contents. Back in the day they had a huge box with all the patches in them. Now you have to buy separately for each face part (makes them less cost effective). You can use any of the patches on any part though, they are just different sizes. Silicone patches work great, and are much more comfortable. I have been wanting to try the Sio patches, haven't got around to ordering them. The silicone patches are more expensive, but you can reuse them. Frownies are great for a cheap way to smooth out wrinkles quickly, although temporarily. They do work better the longer you use them.
So the silicone patches could be good if they're more comfortable because that's the biggest complaint I have with these. Thank you so much for sharing your recommendation💕💕
I’ve used the patches for years and they do seem to soften my lines! I am five years older then you, so since you really have no lines and it’s uncomfortable for you I see why you don’t like them. I sleep on my back so I don’t notice them. I don’t like the fact that I will have to use them forever and they do make you look ridiculous! 😂 I still put a ton of moisturizer around the patches! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your experience using these💗. I think sleeping on your back is key for these to really work. And yes, I don't have deep lines. I was hoping to prevent it, oh well.
Hi Anne, thank you for testing these patches out for us. It's like origami/collage for the face, whatever next. I love your humour and personality, it always lifts my mood, bless you Anne so glad i found you. X
I had basal cell carcinoma removed on my chest. A hole dermatologist that did my surgery said, before surgery " These leave terrible scars" while I was on the table. So I called my old dermatologist & plastic surgeon. Wife derm, husband plastic surgeon. They kindly sent me this cream and these silicone patches. My scar is bearably noticable. Now they have these silicone patches for neck, chest. I still use my silicone chest patch. I am a side sleeper & don't get chest wrinkles.
I've used Frownies in the past and they're a big NO for me. I know they probably help some but it's just not worth it to me and they don't stick on my 11's because of all the other stuff I put on my face. I agree it reminds me of the sticky part of the envelope. Like you I've been doing gua sha and I do notice a difference (but so far it hasn't been a lasting thing). I've also been doing some facial exercises too. We shall see. Not doing botox though and am just going to embrace my lines and wrinkles.
Same here girl, just doing what I can naturally. I am using my gua Sha once a day. I may try twice a day, but that's definitely more of a commitment. I do see subtle changes so I will keep at it.🥰
Thanks for your honest review. I am a side sleeper so it is good to know it can make a wrinkle. And that they are uncomfortable. I really dislike my marionette lines so I’m still not sure whether to try it but like you said I will have to use it forever it’s not just gonna fix it.
I purchased the Sio silicone patches for under eye and the neck...after sleeping with it all night, it seemed like the skin underneath was swollen up in the morning, eliminating the fine lines but not looking quite normal. Also the pulling of the under eye area was not pleasant. I would maybe use them for an hour or two before an event but never all night again.
There is a much better alternative to this - it is called 3M pharmacy/surgical tape which is great as it is transparent and you can use your skincare under. I use it every evening and it is perfect, no problem whatsoever.

I made my deep forehead lines & elevens completely disappear by using patches every nite - go figure, but at least I never have to do Botox!
I'm thinking about getting Botox... I don't know what to expect. Idk if you have had any but if so plz tell me your thoughts and advice. I would get them at the frown lines of my mouth. Thank you!!
I remember these from my childhood. We would laugh at the prospect of sticking paper on your face. It seems to me that they come back in vogue every few years or so. I alway thought they were a waste of time and money. I really think once you have lines and wrinkles it becomes a dermatological or plastic surgical problem. We can make them look better with moisturization, topical peptides and hyaluronic acid. Great review.☺️❤️
Thank you so much for being so honest because I almost bought them just for the middle of my eyebrows because that’s all I have wrinkles on must’ve found too much while growing up LOL thank you for sharing and saving me some money love love love your videos you’re my number one❤️
Lol 😂, they remind me of bandaids 🩹 to put on your face, the gimmicks they come up with Lol 😂, Thanks Anne for taking one for the team, at one stage there was these little white strips that you could put on your face to hold it back to hide any wrinkles and leave them on under your makeup Lol 😂, I was silly enough to buy some and they didn’t stick well and ended up falling off which then left me with stripes on my face where my foundation didn’t cover my actual skin only the strips I used Lol 😂 Lucky I was only trying them out at home and not going anywhere because that would of embarrassing 🙈...can’t believe I’m early for once. Have a Great Weekend or whatever is left of it. Cheers from Nellie xoxo 😘
Thanks for sharing. I agree. No thank you ma'am! Besides, you can not fight genetics...my mom and dad had a lot of lines, so what can I expect! 😁 stay safe Annie. Blessings😊
Those patches will NEVER help marionettes or nasolabial folds. They are created from fat migration in our face downward and forward as we age. Those folds are created by the fat above and along them that has shifted from your cheeks. Maybe I can see this more for foreheads and crows feet because those lines are from muscle contraction. If you can’t raise your forehead or squint your eyes because of the tape, then the lines won’t get etched in as much. Love your videos!❤️
They do help a lot if you are a side sleeper. You should see my face when I wake up in the morning when I haven’t used taping during the night. Side sleeper pushes your fat downwards and speed the formation of the nasolabial wrinkles. By taping and wearing a chin/face strap I’ve delayed the progression of the wrinkles.

Thank you!!
I've never had any injections and I don't plan on it. I just want to do what I can with skincare. Sorry I have no advice to give.😔💕
@@MakeupForMatureSkin it's ok thank you for your time!
I use the medical tape that has the clear crisscross lines it’s cheap and lasts a long time for my 11 ‘a
Thank you so much for sharing your tip💗💗
Thanks for your review. Very helpful:)
You're welcome 💖
What do you think of the silicone patches?
I haven't tested them so I can't say. 😉
This looks like something id like to try for my 11s and just use them before bed.
Have you used any Osmosis products? Curious about that product line.
I will be testing some soon. Just trying to finish up a few things😉
@@MakeupForMatureSkin oh good! Curious to hear what you think. I purchased the foundation and liver supplement but haven’t received them yet.
💗💗💗💗
Thank you so much for being so honest because I almost bought them just for the middle of my eyebrows because that’s all I have wrinkles on must’ve found too much while growing up LOL thank you for sharing and saving me some money love love love your videos you’re my number one❤️
You're welcome 💖
Oh no girl 🤣You too💕💕💕
I am a side sleeper so this would probably disrupt my sleep ....always worrying about creasing
Yeah, totally not worth it IMO. Especially since you have to do this forever. Nope🤣
Thanks for doing this and saving all of us! Boy is this being advertised A LOT right now:(
Yes it is. Some like it but it's not worth it. Someone in the comments described it perfectly. It so uncomfortable to sleep in.
Sounds like you get more wrinkles with then if you can’t use moistoriser and then when you move doing the night they strech your skin.
Yes, I think so too! And they are not comfortable to sleep in.
Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome 💖
They didn't work for me.. They are not comfortable and they left wrinkles on my face
Yeah, this was a big no for me.
Thanks for sharing. I agree. No thank you ma'am! Besides, you can not fight genetics...my mom and dad had a lot of lines, so what can I expect! 😁 stay safe Annie. Blessings😊
You're welcome 💖Yep, what's going to happen will and I'm okay with that.
@@MakeupForMatureSkin me too! 😃
I had no idea this even existed! lol But then again when it comes to anti-aging this, and anti-aging that, there are a millions things on the market.
🤣I didn't either until someone shared it on TikTok
Hi Anne always trust your reviews definitely won’t be wasting my money on these I sleep 😴 on my side so would make more lines 😂 thanks for sharing 🤗💕
You're welcome 💖
Those patches will NEVER help marionettes or nasolabial folds. They are created from fat migration in our face downward and forward as we age. Those folds are created by the fat above and along them that has shifted from your cheeks. Maybe I can see this more for foreheads and crows feet because those lines are from muscle contraction. If you can’t raise your forehead or squint your eyes because of the tape, then the lines won’t get etched in as much. Love your videos!❤️
Thank you 💖
They do help a lot if you are a side sleeper. You should see my face when I wake up in the morning when I haven’t used taping during the night. Side sleeper pushes your fat downwards and speed the formation of the nasolabial wrinkles. By taping and wearing a chin/face strap I’ve delayed the progression of the wrinkles.
I don’t like things on my face so I know there’s no way I could use something like these. I can’t stand sheet mask.
It wasn't relaxing that's for sure. All night I kept thinking about them.
I HATED them! They were uncomfortable and I thought the glue smelled horrible. Never buying those again. Ha! Ha! Thanks, Anne. ❤
Yes, same! I don't get the hype at all!
@@MakeupForMatureSkin , I'd like to see just ONE real person that those have helped. And not the photos on their site. 😂
Exactly and it's not permanent anyway. I cannot imagine doing that every freaking night forever 🤣My husband would love it🤣
@@MakeupForMatureSkin 😂
Hi Anne,i thougt here it comes ,that is something for me.At the end i did not stop laughing,i whas flad in my bed and they fell of.I do my evening skincare routine ,for me so Neede. My mother did it always and she looked amazing.Thank you beautyful.🥰
You're welcome 💖
I move in bed and these would end up stuck in my hair!
I hate gimmicky rip offs, just use tape - my neighbour did and she looked great (she wore them during day and went grocery shopping wearing them 😂😂). 💗
Now that we need to wear masks..maybe ill try it..😆👌 no one will know on my smile línes.
There ya go 👍💕
God I love you! I know I can come to you and you will tell me #truth!
Thank you 💕💕💕
Are you kidding me?? My husband would kick me out of bed LOL. XO.
🤣My husband was giving me looks like what in the hell😅
Hi Anne !
Thanks for your honest review!
Your skin is so beautiful and you you know what your young but you look even younger . I can say that cause we are the same age . And we are cool chicks !!!
See you soon my girlfriend.
Thank you so much girlfriend 😘
Just use tape!!
No no no, these would never be for me. I can’t stand anything different on my face like sticky tapes etc for a piece of skin I bumped off too soon after a chemical peel. Besides, I’m sure my husband would freak out. 😂 So NOT sexy!
Seriously not sexy at all🤣
First!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
My dear, you have an oval face ❤️😉
I do?
@@MakeupForMatureSkin YES
