I loved seeing those car carriers on the roads and on the railroad too and I even got excited to see car carriers hauling crushed cars to recycle yards and trying to identify what cars were in the stacks.
7:17 Ford kept this "float" feature all the way up to my 98 Crown Vic and if you really want to get sea sick, my 02 Expedition with 300K on the original shocks has what you need! 🤣
I am so glad that my grandpa ran a Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge dealership from 1946-1979 {in Covington Georgia home of the Dukes of Hazzard & Heat of the Night} & my mom {who kinda looked like Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched} was a MOPAR chic from the '60s as I was born during the summer of love 1967 & have MOPAR in my blood but I do like some other cars like Impala, Camaro, Chevelle, Javelin, GTO, Trans Am, etc! Ford has just never made anything that has impressed me or even looked good except the '68 Cougar! My favorite has always been the AMC commercial...look out for that truck, what truck, the one behind the bus, what bus...RIP Louisa Moritz 1936-2019 ✌💖☮
Its great to see at 3:08 that John Hadl like figure tossing the football behind him as he gets mesmerized. Though not sure if it the car or the girl . At10:20 that sure does look like Carol Wayne doing her thing . These car commercials sure look different than todays . i guess it is sexist now to show car commercials with pretty girls . Of course these vintage cars can be restored to prime condition but the models shown here are either somebody's old granny or dead !
3:49 did they use the same guy to voiceover both the Dodge Charger ad and the Chevy Impala ad? 😅 6:54 notice the ad with the ‘67 Ford shooting the Colorado rapids, does not have a “Do Not Attempt” disclaimer? 😅 8:41 “The Ultimate Driving Machine” - how’d they get away with using that? 😅
I can't imagine what it would've been like to be of driving age in the 60s. So many great cars. I'm a GM guy. But I don't know what I would've been driving if I was around then. I don't know of a 60s car that I wouldn't love to drive
In the early 70's when turned driving age all I could afford was used 60's cars. Believe me they were an adventure. And I don't mean that in a good way. Driving 65 MPH and floating like you're on a water bed, being able to turn the steering wheel with your pinky, drum brakes all around that needed constant pumping to shed water coming to a stop in the rain...pretty much everything is better and safer today.
My dad had the first Chrysler , my mom has a 1968 impala SS and a 1969 Impala and I went to the drive in many times in a 1967 Pontiac GTO when we had that car . My mom wasn’t into Ford cars until she got a 1976 Ford Elite . My family has always been into cool cars .
This was my heday...I was a kid during this time and remember all these except the Subarooooooo, as 95% of the peeps never even heard of that car back then. America was a much better place then. The only thing better today is the high tech conveniences.
These are great. That Chrysler in the beginning almost steals the show. That is one beautiful machine. Cars were so much more gorgeous back in the day compared to nowadays.
Thanks for watching! Check out my classic car posters in my eBay store! www.ebay.com/usr/paylessposter
Thank you for the video. Thank you for putting this video together, People miss cars like these in our world of suv's and crossovers.
When cars had style and great lines. Also real V8 engines! 👍💪🇺🇸

I remember several of them great time travel.

If the ads were still creative like these, and not some crossover driving on a forest road or a desert, then I’d be watching them through.

"Eliot??"
"That's a cute name."
Oh I want the 1970 Dodge Charger 500 now.

I Never forgot the, 'Mustang Mustang 68" Jingle, after I heard it in late 67. I was 7-8 yrs old, and thought the Mustang was "It"
these cars are just as hot today as they were back then. You wont get that out of a new car today

Fantastic.

That pronunciation of Subaru is actually correct, in the sense of being closer to the Japanese pronunciation of the name…
Ford didn't have anything exciting in 1960 except for the T-Bird.

Chrysler had to use Hot Chicks, to get the guys thinking that if they bought the Chrysler Garbage, they would get a Hottie

Most of the chicks look average but I wish I could of driven one new
I’ll take the car over the girl over the car anytime..
Back in the days American manufacturers made cars and women could be exploited. Oh those were the days.
