The structural framework was iron; the windows were glass. The floorboards & joists were wood. The window frames were wood. The wallboards were wood. Quite a lot of wood really. As to what kicked off the fire in the first place? No idea. I didn't spend very much time on the fire, because this was the relocated/expanded version of the building, not the one as used at the Great Exhibition itself, so the fire was of passing interest only.
Any chance of a VR preview here on RUclips? Or at least a 3d enabled video? Or is it a slide show in 2d? Either way it's wonderful work!!
