  • Barn Find follow up - what happened to the Lamborghini Espada V12? Will it run?
Remember Jonny's most popular barn find on this channel thus far? Indeed, what did happen next to the mysterious Espada found in a real remote Cumbrian stone barn? Well, it was a story of many twists, and turns and if you are a top-tier Late Brake Show Patreon, you’ll have read our follow-up piece and seen this video months ago.
Thanks for stopping by The Late Brake Show.
In this follow-up video Jonny attends the Espada’s sale auction and we see it find a new owner who cracked straight on with getting the car roadworthy again after more than 30 years. If you haven't watched the original video then go here first: • Barn find Lamborghini ...
This barn find has got to be the single-most emailed and DM’d feature we’ve ever done. From various people getting involved in who owns the cars, to people wanting to buy them, to people claiming to own them, but don’t… It was a crazy few weeks after this aired.
Thanks for stopping by The Late Brake Show.

If I was the owner, I would start with a conversation with Iain Tyrell - even if I could not afford to go down the route of a full restoration in his shop, I would at least find out the key things to look for before recommissioning as his experience in putting bodges right on this particular model is probably 2nd to none in the UK

Yeah, but even getting him to look over it and give an opinion on what it needs isn't likely to be as straightforward as you'd think. Any successful classic specialist won't give you time of day if you just turn up with your car. I'd expect Tyrell would want it booked in for an evaluation when the workshop has availability which is likely to be weeks, if not months from now.

That's a proper bargain, that was full risk value and sounds like it is in pretty good shape. Having bought a barn find that looked terrible after 30 years and then finding out it was basically new condition under all the rubbish, these risks are worth taking if they are already priced in like this.

So glad that the new owner is happy to share his enjoyment of the car with us.
It should be interesting to watch the developments as more of the history is discovered.

Compression and cylinders sound good while he’s turning it over. A fairly smooth rotation.

Jonny your videos are game changers, thank you for sharing your passion. You could tell Mike (the new owner) that I can help with the Italian just in case he finds that difficult

Just great to see it out of the barn and clearly going to someone who is going to care for it and is kind enough to bring us along on the journey. Thank you Michael.

So good to see follow up videos, it is an awesome thing to find these machines, and exciting to see where they go and that they are appreciated, used and cared for. Thank you.
Ps, i may pay to at least have a chat with Tyrells, even if you can't afford to take it there, he knows stuff.
