- Hello everyone,
I have always loved a grapevine wreath, and this one is no exception.
This time around, I tried a little experiment by spray painting the grapevine wreath a nice vibrant yellow for Spring.
Adding some more colour with these tulips, this yellow grapevine wreath shone like the sun!!!! Brightening up my day...and hopefully yours as well.
MATERIALS USED:
18" Grapevine wreath - Michael's
2.5" Wired multi-coloured ribbon - Michael's
1.5" Wired blue and white checked ribbon - Michael's
Faux tulips (2) - Michael's
Pipe cleaners
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Scissors
Ruler

Such an obvious thing, but I've never thought about painting the grapevine wreath. And I paint everything! Thanks, Dave, for the inspiration. 😁
Same here! I have a floor to ceiling spray paint rack I made from scrap wood, it fits 90% of my spray paints, I also have a bunch of the 8 oz oops paint for 50 cents from Home Depot they stack one on another, every inch of the shelf is filled. But I never thought to spray paint a grapevine wreath, and you don't get a nice yellow too often, and that looked really pretty.

I would of never thought of spray painting a grapevine wreath. But I love it. And those pretty tulips and gorgeous bow. It screamed spring time!! Love it!!😊

Yellow is my favorite color. That wreath is beautiful. I was thinking that maybe I would make one with my grandkids. I think that I will try to paint the wreath green, add a bunch of jellybean decorations, a big beautiful bow, and put a tiny plush bunny in the middle of the bow. I got that idea from this video. Lol 😅😊🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Happy spring, everyone.

I've spray painted a couple of wreaths. A black one for Halloween and a blue one for Easter. Just repainted the blue one cream for spring. Easy peasy customizable. 😊

I have spray painted them on several occasions. I like the richness it gives to a faded shabby grapevine. I especially liked to use black , white and many, different wood color tones. I also have used metal sheened wood tones.

I love your new wreath design Dave! 😍 In answer to your question, I have painted grapevine wreaths a couple of times. The first time was when I did my version of your Halloween raven/crow wreath. I loved yours so much that I just had to make one similar to it. More recently, I wanted a winter-themed wreath, and I saw when you did one recently with an owl on it. I loved that one too, so I did my version of that as well. I painted the grapevine wreath white, and added an owl, plus coordinating greenery and a nice bow. I can't see how I can add a photo of them on here, but they can be seen in videos on my RUclips channel if anyone wants to take a look at them. 😃

Dave…I thought the technical term WERE “squishing it up”. I just finished making my very first grapevine wreath to give my older sister who’s in a retirement place. Here in Hawaii we have one craft store. Bought a grapevine wreath there and it was super skimpy for $19.99…after I got my flowers on it was drooping..so I ended up gluing a second wreath to the back of it. You guys are lucky to get those thicker wreaths!
