I forgot what Hiro said on why Natsu doesn't give narrations, but it was similar to what Oda said about Luffy and why Luffy never has thought bubbles in his manga (even though Luffy is undoubtedly the main protagonist of One Piece). I'm sure if you look it up, you'd find what Hiro said on Natsu and his first person perspective in Fairy Tail.

But I think it's because the main focus is for young boys, not necessarily that the protagonist _needs_ to be a boy. A good reason why shōnens often have male protagonists is because, surprise, surprise, boys tend to relate to other boys. Both Natsu and Lucy can still be the protagonists. Or a protagonist-deutoroganist dynamic, if you want. But with the importance Lucy has in the story, do you really not even consider her to be the mc?

Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray and Wendy. 7 if you include the two cats 😂 Though, it is debatable since some of the other Fairy Tail members joined their arcs A LOT which is one of the best qualities of Fairy Tail. Throughout the journey, you can recognize them all because they're mostly recurring characters. And some of them even have their highlights and fights. Even the villains. When you mentioned you're overwhelmed with the amount of characters, they're mostly characters already introduced before 😂 I would say Fairy Tail has one of the smoothest and best original storylines. And some arcs are written very well. Apart from some of it flaws. I kinda recommend the show 😂❤
Zero is the origin of the fairy tail guild. It's about the founders of it. The little old guy is the third master of fairy tale. So he is very important and can't just be there in every opening.
Hiro Mashima's character designs _and_ writing are one of the bests out there. Seriously, this guy does not run out of ideas! The manga's epilogue is still going with new characters! I think the only thing that's running out for him are colors lmao. You can only have so much blue haired characters before people start speculating they're related XD

TH emost beloved character is a hard one since a lot of them are loves. But the most popular is Erza ig? The red haired girl. If you don't like Erza, you'll be one of the rare few. She's a badass with a heart. And no, _not_ a tsundere. Just a genuinely good person.
I can’t really compare Fairy Tail to any other show because it’s pretty unique, probably not many shows like it. But Fairy Tail has inspired other shows, so I guess it would be appropriate to say these shows are like Fairy Tail. Black Clover took lots of inspiration and iconic scenes from Fairy Tail(people commonly say Black Clover is a mix of Fairy Tail and Naruto). So if you ever watch Fairy Tail and Black Clover, you realize that black clover has a lot of similarities to Fairy Tail. Another show I think is similar to Fairy Tail would be Fire Force but that’s only because the MC also uses fire in their feet like Natsu does😂😂 so not really that similar besides that one fact. I genuinely can’t think of any other shows that are like Fairy Tail😂 it’s a pretty stand out show. There not many good magic based shows that compare to it. But if we’re taking vibe, if you like Naruto, Bleach, One piece(especially) and Hunter hunter then you’ll love Fairy Tail. It has similar OG Shonen vibes to it.
Magic can basically do anything in this world, from summonings and transformations to elemental magic so long as the person learns and practices with it
Its a great anime… that takes its unique spot in the anime world as for its story… Yes it definitely has drawbacks but for a story not planned to run more then 40 episodes (now has 300+ episode and much more to come) its built really well… Yes the power of friendship to be more precise the power of feelings is actually part of the world power building that haters unnecessarily or immaturely make it sound bad but the point truly makes sense…
One of my favourite animes. Characters are probably the best part, though with characters I mean every side character and villain, since they all manage to be very interesting, while the main group loses a lot of potential over the seasons; what you actually said in this reaction of the anime focusing maybe too much not on the main group is actually one of the saving graces of the show, because of that. Also the main mystery and plot of the show is actually very compelling and mostly consistent throughout its all run, making it highly rewarding when, in the last season, it's finally revealed what's at play. Battle logic, power escalation and plot armor are the worst parts, that by the last season become pretty tiring.
If you are asking which animes could Fairy Tail be symilar to I would say One Piece, Black Clover and Seven Deadly Sins - I think Fairy Tail could definetly be your cup of tea 😌
Fairy Tail [Without Spoilers] The author of Fairy Tail is Hiro Mashima is said to have worked with Oda in One Piece and later started his series Fairy Tail [Not sure how much is true] but it is said his inspiration comes a lot from One Piece and Dragon Ball too with the character design and comrade thing . Fairy Tail is set in a fantasy world where unique creatures live . Magic is the power system in this show . The story sets foot in a place called Fiore Kingdom [In other words Kingdom of Flower] a girl named Lucy is trying to find a job as a mage in a guild and through fate she ends up encountering a boy named Natsu [Natsu means summer in Japanese] . Natsu is a member of the really well-known guild called Fairy Tail and he brings Lucy back to his guild and she joins them . From here on Lucy's journey with Natsu and many different people begins . The author has already said that both Natsu and Lucy are the main protagonists of Fairy Tail . Now then that is finished let me give you my review to Fairy Tail . It was one of my early shows and I actually REALLY enjoyed it A LOT....BUUUUTTTT....Then I realized despite having such amazing character designs , amazing build-up to everything , amazing backstories , Fairy Tail's was handled poorly with a LOT of plot holes OR complete BS ways of winning . Fairy Tail to me became a type of show which was amazing as hell but the final touches to it were handled really poorly . Fairy Tail is at the peak with its "power of family , love and friendship" thing and I can understand it . I am not the type to get pissed with that thing easily but even I have a limit with that . Overall my point is Fairy Tail's story was amazing as hell . I would be theorizing many plots and stuff throughout its arcs because I really enjoyed it BUT when the final fights and final delivery of the plot twists and stuff came I think the author should have given a little more thought on it because it was amazing BUT it was REALLY disappointing . Maybe it is just me . At least I still like it because Fairy Tail . It has fire OSTs too . It is a show which is massively loved or massively hated by anime community .

Technically Fairy Tail isn’t over cuz the manga is still ongoing currently. It’s kinda like a Naruto and Naruto Shippuden type of deal. All the openings you watched were for Fairy Tail(Naruto) and the Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest(Naruto Shippuden). So Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest hasn’t been animated yet but we’re patiently waiting.
lol I’ve never heard anyone have a thing against animal looking people but that’s very common in many animes for animals to look like or act like humans. (Fun facts: anime characters designs usually come from cats) But Fairy Tail is known for its crazy anime designs and animals human looking people.
It’s honestly kind of hard for me to compare Fairy Tale to anything specific. It is a shonen though so it has a lot of the tropes and themes in common with other shonen like Naruto or One Piece. Isn’t really like those shows, though.
When it comes to Fairy Tail the reviewes are very mixed. Story is fairly simple, comparable to Bleach in a way. Has some cool fakeouts and twists (one of the reactors I've watched got mental breakdown because of one character. It was so funny to witness). I'll list you both short commings that people hate Fairy Tail as well as the things that really shine that people love. (spoiler free) The good/unique/intriguing things: - The author is briliant at writing strong women, but tbh big majority of the characters have some interesting, deep and/or funny traits going on - Attention is very evenly spread between charakters, even with those that initially seem to not be very important. Almost no one feels insignificant. Because of this, fans sometimes aren't sure who is the main charater anymore (I was one of them). Thats an interesting phenomenon, not very commonly seen - Back in the times when it originated, the main charakters almost never had some sort of element as a power because authors wanted them to be unpolarizing and easy to relate to. Fairy Tail sort of broke out of it, MC has element and is still really beloved - Cool fights as well as very diverse power system - Very good at pulling the heartstrings (almost as good as Naruto imo) - Amazing OST! Everyone loves it, even the haters! The bad/most hated things: - Overly silly tone an times as well as comedy timing can ruin the sad scene. Mostly the latter is the problem, but it's not that frequent. It's not silly at all times but somewhat more than one would expect. - Simple story telling. Villan/s of the week style most of the time. (People usually ignore all the unexpected twists as well as all the insights into the characters) - Fan service, especially later on (Some people are uncultured :p) - Power of feelings makes people stronger. It's literally a part of the power system. Tolerance to this trope varies. I'm not bothered by this, but even I've had at least one "ok, this is BS" moment Overall it's very decent and not a waste of time. Even most of the fillers are enjoyable, except few. (I'm looking at you eps 70-75) Just a fair warning if you decide to react to this. I've heard from some youtubers that dealing with copyright as a big pain, more than a lot of other animes There are total 328 episodes and 68 of them are fillers (some of them are mix of filler/canon and omakes). Majority of them are really enjoyable, however there are some really poorly written ones that aren't fun or don't really add anything substantial to the show (about 23/25 of them). Fillers I recommend to skip are: 70-75 (pretty much everyone agrees it's terrible) 125 and 127 (others may argue it should be 125-150, but this is anime canon and events from it are mentioned in the manga later on) *Now after I re watched those 2 eps, they aren't that bad 204-222 (unless you really want to see the Ice Boy dance)
If I had to compare then Fairy tail is WAYYY too close to Black Clover. I can see One Piece because of friendship and adventure but they always come back to the same "guild". When it comes to characters then I'd say Bleach and JJK. Crazy transformations (probably the best/2nd best imo) and foreshadowing, similar power system of magic and showcasing it like spiritual pressure. Spoilers: MC is Ichigo when it comes to being the center of everything and every rave in his series. Main villain is like Aizen when it comes to creations, planning the mcs life and world around him. Other villain is like Sukuna/Madara when it comes to making everyone fear him and punishing people who don't. Then there's Erza who was the most popular female character in anime for a WHILE. People in the show use that "it's because she's Erza" quote similar to "because he's Gojo" Also like MHA it looks soo funny and goofy that dark moments seem like they just come out of nowhere. People forget how dark it actually is. It's also over hated for the dumbest reasons but imo: It's big 3 level.
Idk if the story was supposed to end early. The anime was but not the manga. In the end the author said that he didn't plan for it to end so it was supposed to be over 320 episodes. It seems planned out especially with the crazy foreshadowing. The power system is awesome but there's a lot of people kinda lying about it because they don't understand it. One major thing is that emotions are linked to power so when someone from a guild saw his friend die he got enough power to take out his guild master. Half of the power system is an elemental thing and some characters can use 2 elements if they meet certain conditions.
A lot of the antagonists become friends , for example Gajeel - black haired antagonist from op 2 Jellal - blue haired eye tattoo from op 3 Laxus - lighting blond guy from op 4 Cobra - red haired scar on eye - op 5,12,16,19,20,25 Just to name a few The big thing this show is about is power of friendship, I will say theirs not a lot of stakes in the show which is annoying but the unique characters with each having unique abilities that don’t feel repetitive is nice and theirs a lot of emotional moments, this was the first anime I started watching about 1 1/2 ago I finished the show 4 months ago but it’s gotten me more open to anime something I never watched before Also characters come back more then 70# of the character come back one or more times over the course of the show
just enjoy the song fully and stop focusing on the opening a spoiler due to characters revealed..we don`t even know their backstory yet...good or evil characters...for starters it is.
After finish Rave Master, the author make Fairy Tail... but he didn't plan the story. Even though the story is ordinary, it is still cool and fun to follow Rave Master, Fairy Tail, and Eden's Zero. Of his three works, only Fairy Tail can be said to be successful and most famous And next Fairy Tail 100 Year's Quest anime will be released soon
This anime is for people who like "power of friendship" story telling. If you want serious anime then most of other shounens are better. As an anime watcher I prefer One Piece and JOJO. But as a manga reader I prefer Undead Unluck and Combat Continent (Douluo Dalu).

Yeah pink hair (natsu) is the main character. Though people often think the blond girl (Lucy) is the protagonist because the story is told through her pov, but the author has stated that the pink hair is mc on numerous occasions

1, 15, 16, 17, 25, 26 are my favorites. But 15 and 16 are tied for my #1 spot. FT openings are almost all good like One Piece.
TH emost beloved character is a hard one since a lot of them are loves. But the most popular is Erza ig? The red haired girl. If you don't like Erza, you'll be one of the rare few. She's a badass with a heart. And no, _not_ a tsundere. Just a genuinely good person.

I can’t really compare Fairy Tail to any other show because it’s pretty unique, probably not many shows like it. But Fairy Tail has inspired other shows, so I guess it would be appropriate to say these shows are like Fairy Tail. Black Clover took lots of inspiration and iconic scenes from Fairy Tail(people commonly say Black Clover is a mix of Fairy Tail and Naruto). So if you ever watch Fairy Tail and Black Clover, you realize that black clover has a lot of similarities to Fairy Tail.
Another show I think is similar to Fairy Tail would be Fire Force but that’s only because the MC also uses fire in their feet like Natsu does😂😂 so not really that similar besides that one fact.
I genuinely can’t think of any other shows that are like Fairy Tail😂 it’s a pretty stand out show. There not many good magic based shows that compare to it.
But if we’re taking vibe, if you like Naruto, Bleach, One piece(especially) and Hunter hunter then you’ll love Fairy Tail. It has similar OG Shonen vibes to it.

One of my favourite animes. Characters are probably the best part, though with characters I mean every side character and villain, since they all manage to be very interesting, while the main group loses a lot of potential over the seasons; what you actually said in this reaction of the anime focusing maybe too much not on the main group is actually one of the saving graces of the show, because of that. Also the main mystery and plot of the show is actually very compelling and mostly consistent throughout its all run, making it highly rewarding when, in the last season, it's finally revealed what's at play. Battle logic, power escalation and plot armor are the worst parts, that by the last season become pretty tiring.

Fairy Tail [Without Spoilers]
The author of Fairy Tail is Hiro Mashima is said to have worked with Oda in One Piece and later started his series Fairy Tail [Not sure how much is true] but it is said his inspiration comes a lot from One Piece and Dragon Ball too with the character design and comrade thing . Fairy Tail is set in a fantasy world where unique creatures live . Magic is the power system in this show . The story sets foot in a place called Fiore Kingdom [In other words Kingdom of Flower] a girl named Lucy is trying to find a job as a mage in a guild and through fate she ends up encountering a boy named Natsu [Natsu means summer in Japanese] . Natsu is a member of the really well-known guild called Fairy Tail and he brings Lucy back to his guild and she joins them . From here on Lucy's journey with Natsu and many different people begins .
The author has already said that both Natsu and Lucy are the main protagonists of Fairy Tail . Now then that is finished let me give you my review to Fairy Tail . It was one of my early shows and I actually REALLY enjoyed it A LOT....BUUUUTTTT....Then I realized despite having such amazing character designs , amazing build-up to everything , amazing backstories , Fairy Tail's was handled poorly with a LOT of plot holes OR complete BS ways of winning . Fairy Tail to me became a type of show which was amazing as hell but the final touches to it were handled really poorly . Fairy Tail is at the peak with its "power of family , love and friendship" thing and I can understand it . I am not the type to get pissed with that thing easily but even I have a limit with that .
Overall my point is Fairy Tail's story was amazing as hell . I would be theorizing many plots and stuff throughout its arcs because I really enjoyed it BUT when the final fights and final delivery of the plot twists and stuff came I think the author should have given a little more thought on it because it was amazing BUT it was REALLY disappointing . Maybe it is just me . At least I still like it because Fairy Tail . It has fire OSTs too . It is a show which is massively loved or massively hated by anime community .

If I had to compare to another anime, it would be One Piece and Black Clover that are the most similar, but its still very different to those.
Technically Fairy Tail isn’t over cuz the manga is still ongoing currently. It’s kinda like a Naruto and Naruto Shippuden type of deal. All the openings you watched were for Fairy Tail(Naruto) and the Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest(Naruto Shippuden). So Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest hasn’t been animated yet but we’re patiently waiting.
lol I’ve never heard anyone have a thing against animal looking people but that’s very common in many animes for animals to look like or act like humans. (Fun facts: anime characters designs usually come from cats)
But Fairy Tail is known for its crazy anime designs and animals human looking people.
It’s honestly kind of hard for me to compare Fairy Tale to anything specific. It is a shonen though so it has a lot of the tropes and themes in common with other shonen like Naruto or One Piece. Isn’t really like those shows, though.

When it comes to Fairy Tail the reviewes are very mixed. Story is fairly simple, comparable to Bleach in a way. Has some cool fakeouts and twists (one of the reactors I've watched got mental breakdown because of one character. It was so funny to witness). I'll list you both short commings that people hate Fairy Tail as well as the things that really shine that people love. (spoiler free)
The good/unique/intriguing things:
- The author is briliant at writing strong women, but tbh big majority of the characters have some interesting, deep and/or funny traits going on
- Attention is very evenly spread between charakters, even with those that initially seem to not be very important. Almost no one feels insignificant. Because of this, fans sometimes aren't sure who is the main charater anymore (I was one of them). Thats an interesting phenomenon, not very commonly seen
- Back in the times when it originated, the main charakters almost never had some sort of element as a power because authors wanted them to be unpolarizing and easy to relate to. Fairy Tail sort of broke out of it, MC has element and is still really beloved
- Cool fights as well as very diverse power system
- Very good at pulling the heartstrings (almost as good as Naruto imo)
- Amazing OST! Everyone loves it, even the haters!
The bad/most hated things:
- Overly silly tone an times as well as comedy timing can ruin the sad scene. Mostly the latter is the problem, but it's not that frequent. It's not silly at all times but somewhat more than one would expect.
- Simple story telling. Villan/s of the week style most of the time. (People usually ignore all the unexpected twists as well as all the insights into the characters)
- Fan service, especially later on (Some people are uncultured :p)
- Power of feelings makes people stronger. It's literally a part of the power system. Tolerance to this trope varies. I'm not bothered by this, but even I've had at least one "ok, this is BS" moment
Overall it's very decent and not a waste of time. Even most of the fillers are enjoyable, except few. (I'm looking at you eps 70-75)
Just a fair warning if you decide to react to this. I've heard from some youtubers that dealing with copyright as a big pain, more than a lot of other animes
There are total 328 episodes and 68 of them are fillers (some of them are mix of filler/canon and omakes). Majority of them are really enjoyable, however there are some really poorly written ones that aren't fun or don't really add anything substantial to the show (about 23/25 of them).
Fillers I recommend to skip are:
70-75 (pretty much everyone agrees it's terrible)
125 and 127 (others may argue it should be 125-150, but this is anime canon and events from it are mentioned in the manga later on) *Now after I re watched those 2 eps, they aren't that bad
204-222 (unless you really want to see the Ice Boy dance)
When doing Gintama openings, please get all the versions because usually some people miss the ones that are comedic gold

If I had to compare then Fairy tail is WAYYY too close to Black Clover. I can see One Piece because of friendship and adventure but they always come back to the same "guild". When it comes to characters then I'd say Bleach and JJK. Crazy transformations (probably the best/2nd best imo) and foreshadowing, similar power system of magic and showcasing it like spiritual pressure.
Spoilers: MC is Ichigo when it comes to being the center of everything and every rave in his series. Main villain is like Aizen when it comes to creations, planning the mcs life and world around him. Other villain is like Sukuna/Madara when it comes to making everyone fear him and punishing people who don't. Then there's Erza who was the most popular female character in anime for a WHILE. People in the show use that "it's because she's Erza" quote similar to "because he's Gojo"
Also like MHA it looks soo funny and goofy that dark moments seem like they just come out of nowhere. People forget how dark it actually is. It's also over hated for the dumbest reasons but imo: It's big 3 level.
Idk if the story was supposed to end early. The anime was but not the manga. In the end the author said that he didn't plan for it to end so it was supposed to be over 320 episodes. It seems planned out especially with the crazy foreshadowing. The power system is awesome but there's a lot of people kinda lying about it because they don't understand it. One major thing is that emotions are linked to power so when someone from a guild saw his friend die he got enough power to take out his guild master. Half of the power system is an elemental thing and some characters can use 2 elements if they meet certain conditions.

I will say theirs not a lot of stakes in the show which is annoying but the unique characters with each having unique abilities that don’t feel repetitive is nice and theirs a lot of emotional moments, this was the first anime I started watching about 1 1/2 ago I finished the show 4 months ago but it’s gotten me more open to anime something I never watched before
Also characters come back more then 70# of the character come back one or more times over the course of the show

This anime is for people who like "power of friendship" story telling. If you want serious anime then most of other shounens are better.
As an anime watcher I prefer One Piece and JOJO. But as a manga reader I prefer Undead Unluck and Combat Continent (Douluo Dalu).
