Beautiful video! ❤ I was going to skip Scilla but that shot of lo scoglio della nonna its now back on the list! Do you know if the ferries across from messina are difficult or do they run on time? I will be visiting Scilla from Taormina in likely May.

Thank you so very much for watching! The ships seemed quite prompt and efficient when I was travelling from Villa San Giovanni to Messina. I used Caronte & Tourist and it was seamless :) - have a beautiful trip its a magical part of the world!

@@itssomethingaboutdavid thanks so much!! I just booked our hotel and it’s right on the water - only there for a day but can’t wait. We have a car so ferry might be a bit manic - but I’m used to Italian and Greek manicness 😅

Is Scilla a good place to visit in March? Looking for a good off-season destination but want restaurants to be open!

It sort of depends what type of experience you're looking for? It won't be so hot or busy as deeper into Spring and Summer, so it'll be much more relaxed, and feel more authentic living amongst the locals. Restaurants are opened year round (most!) but may have shorter days. I think its a fabulous place to relax and again my visit was at the end of September which was quite perfect weatherwise but as you could see - not many people.
