This morning I came across this testimony! I'm morning my 56 yr. old, eldist son passing! His story is very similar to this young man's! My beautiful, gifted son, even with many reaching out & multiple attempts, being baptised at 10 & 17 yrs. old kept returning to drugs & horrific sin! This ultimately distroyed his health & he has passed away! But our gracious redeemer, threw my daughter & son lead him to Christ the day before his passing! All our 45 yrs. of prayer were answered in that moment! So if your reading this I emplore you to Never Give Up! If you have been abused, Jesus has the healing you need! Thank you lord for your incredible mercy & grace! Forever!!

As I was reading your post it really touched my heart, I'm so sorry for your of your precious son. I'm 62 now and I never had children and I've dealt with suicide and my life being full of trauma. My parents died when I was 11 and I never had anyone who really cared about me except one brother and my sister who is still with me but she's in a nursing home right now. I'm just hoping it's not too late for me.

It's funny. If he walked down the grocery aisle one WOULD think "oh what a perfect guy... a good looking guy with perfect life... probably a high school jock". It's only you get to hear the story of the people you realize how we are all fighting a battle within. God bless to this young man.
LOVE THIS!!! This up and coming generation of believers has a raw and unabashed passion and devotion for Jesus and its astounding to witness it! I was found by Jesus at 23, its been 23 years, half my life, that I've walked with Him, and through it all He's stuck with me. I heard a friend say, "I could walk away from God, but where would I go? Who could I pray to, who would hear me, who would care?" It rang so true in my heart. If I leave my Lord's side, where can I go? there is no one like Him. There is no one who loves me as He does. To leave would be the epitome of foolishness. That truth has been a touchstone of my faith. Thank you for this glorious testimony, it was heavenly!

Wow, listening to your testimony I can relate so much. My life was much like yours, at a very young age I felt a void in my heart. I was only like 9 yo and I would tell my mom that I felt like something was missing. Just like you I came from a broken home, lots of anger between parents and I was never close to my sister. I looked for love, acceptance and satisfaction from relationships, sex and drugs - yet I was always left empty. I had went to church some growing up but never understood that it was a personal relationship with Jesus that made you a Christian. I was 19 yo when a co-worker invited me to a concert being put on by his church. The band would cover popular songs and rewrite the lyrics about God. They did a song called Scars by Papa Roach which I loved the original. And it was like Jesus reached down to me personally and said "all the love, acceptance, satisfaction and peace you are looking for is only found in me". And I accepted Jesus into my heart that night and have never been the same. I am now 36 yo married with 5 kids and pioneering a church (my husband is the pastor). I could have never imagined this life BUT God had a plan and a purpose for me!!
In 2014 I cried out to God to help me because I was being tormented by demonic entities that did not give me rest day and night. I opened a door to them through unforgiveness toward my mother whom I had a turbulent relationship with throughout my life. The poison of unforgiveness was eating at my heart and soul causing me to be bitter, sad, depressed, angry and lost. At that time I did not know much or anything about Jesus. Then one day it got too much for me to handle and I cried out to God to help me. I was desperate. In the next few months my life began to change. I felt the presence of Jesus in my room asking me to forgive my mom, and to also forgive myself because I too caused much hurt. Coming from a Jewish background, it was almost taboo to speak about Him. During the time of my unforgiveness and bitterness I was being harassed by demonic spirits that I could not see but I could sense. They caused me to have sleep paralysis, be depressed, angry and kept me up at night. One day someone had dropped off a flier at my door and I just took it and put it by my bed, not thinking too much about it. Then in the evening when I was feeling so down, my eyes glanced over this flier and there was a scripture about the love of Jesus. It was a short and to the point scripture verse but the words were so powerful, my soul knew it was the truth. And when I read those words, they penetrated through all the pain and confusion and there was a glimmer of hope beginning to bubble up in me. So during my sleep paralysis, I heard a voice inside my spirit telling me to pray to “Jesus Christ, Yeshua”. I could not move my body or my mouth, but as the words “Help me Jesus, Help me Yeshua '' formulated in my mind, whatever entity was pinning me down to the bed lifted off immediately and I was able to move again. I ran outside and called my husband on the phone crying because I had never experienced anything like this. This began my journey with the Lord. He spoke to me in my spirit and told me to “Arise” out of bed when I was so down and depressed. He showed me that there is hope and His name is powerful. It was a process and a journey of sanctification and as I began reading about Jesus, and his life, the more I fell in love with Him. I knew He is the Messiah our people (the Jewish people) had denied for so long. I still did not have a bible at that time and did not give my life to Him at that point, because I just didn't know what I needed to do to be saved. During this time of being unsaved, the devil tempted me in so many ways and I ended up committing sins that were atrocious and an abomination. BUT GOD ALMIGHTY, JESUS CHRIST did not give up on me. In 2015 I felt His presence even stronger and I began repenting of my past sins and the Lord began closing doors that needed to be closed and opening new doors that needed to be opened in my life. In December of 2016 I felt in my spirit the Lord speaking to me asking me to get baptized and to get a Bible and to start reading His Word. And I obeyed. After I was baptized and received the Holy Spirit, I began to be guided into all truth. Things I was oblivious to previously as being sinful, God was showing me through the Holy Spirit that I was deceived and I needed to let them go so I could serve Him. Couple of examples were the participation in Halloween and doing yoga. As a saved believer, I could no longer participate in these demonic occult practice. It was like a sharp sword of conviction in my heart. I LOVE the Lord so much because He transformed my heart and life completely and in such a gentle loving Fatherly way. I am a completely different person today than I was 10 years ago because of His Love for me. I desire to please Him and to obey Him and to spend one day in eternity with Him. He gave His life for me and for many people and He wants to save us from being separated from Him for eternity and from going to the pits of Hell. I just give Him the Glory, Honor, Power and Blessings for the miracles He has done in my life and the miracles He can and wants to do in every person's life. To God be the Glory. Amen
The personal saving experience is priceless.. its more genuine than "church".. and it's not that you will be accepted.. it is that you will suffer division until you are surprisingly around people that need "you".. don't be fooled into thinking or feeling that you need anything tangible.. because you have everything you need period when you find salvation.. my name is Justin.. very nice to meet you and pray 4 you.. let's have a talk

That was awesome to hear! Jesus Christ came for me in the darkness of the world. He called us out by name and we have to answer Him. We all come from a different path in life but it can all lead to Jesus Christ if you let Him in. What a if gift He gives us, and how many people would turn down a free gift? Sadly most do when it comes to the life changing life Jesus Christ gives us. But if we plant the seed the Holy Spirit will bring someone else in to water it. And some day soon the Father will reap His harvest hallelujah! I was one way and now I'm another through Jesus Christ, not by my works but by His it is finished. We all came from God. We all knew his love before this lifetime. Being here and not being able to feel his love is so traumatizing to us so we are constantly seeking for his love because it is like nothing that this world can offer. Just know that he loves us so much and don’t seek anything else to justify the love that you are lacking.
Beautiful testimony. Please pray for my four young adult kids to come to the Lord. Derek’s testimony reminded me so much of my marriage. My kids father a firefighter divorced me to marry another Christian woman. Derek said his mother was a firefighter. Why do kids reject the Lord?? Truly saddens me. I feel like the world has grown so acceptable of things that are not right smoking drinking and other stuff that kids grow up with a mindset of it’s okay to do this and to fit in with others, following Christ and being a Christian is the complete opposite and they think that it will make them seem weird or not normal to follow Jesus, I’ve been there done that and being close to him is 10x better than any drug or any amount of alcohol

I wish I could stumble apon a testimony of someone who had a normal life, did nothing wrong but still haven't found the Lord and some day they met the Lord. But I am almost addicted to hear what the Lord is doing in live of othe people. This give me real hope!
Beautiful testimony. It is good that more and more people are coming back to the Lord. The world has turned away from God and we have to bring more people to the Lord before his second coming. The young today have no purpose in life because they don't know Jesus and resort to ungodly things and ultimately end their lives.

This!! When I first experienced God, I saw all the misery my friends were led into so I shared gospel with them but was too intense and pushy in my way. I've now given up the earlier ways but I have this deep love and acceptance towards them that I can't give up. Bible says love never fails, and I'm believing that may God's love reach onto them as well.
I think Gods speaking to me. 2nd time ive heard it being said that when you dream or have aspirations and isolate your self, they wont ever fruition because they dont come from God. God has a plan for us.
Wonderful testimony! I can identify with him. Sometimes you need to get very lost before being found. No matter how far down the pit you are Jesus can rescue you. Don’t underestimate his power. No drugs, sex, money and beauty can take his place. If you want to find the light get addicted to Jesus.
Interesting testimony. When he says that other people went to jail instead of him, I think he doesn’t realize that a lot of people get saved by Jesus in jail. Jesus knows what he’s doing and what each person needs to direct their lives to him.

This testimony of a broken young man is wonderful your zeal and fire is contagious As I listened I almost feel like I was listening to my own testimony the way that I grew up the things that led me to the Lord and how I felt when I was caught up in darkness that void within that longing to fill it I am very glad to have heard your testimony however there is this desire inside of me to share the gospel with you to tell you that you need to be saved from hell because I never heard you even once mention that not even one time while giving your testimony the gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as stated in 1Corinthians 15 1:-4 KJV By which we are saved as Paul stated The Great commission as stated in Mark 16:15 go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature that is the Great commission to preach the gospel if we are not telling people that Jesus Christ died pay for their sins and that he rose from the grave to give them eternal life then our message is empty and we are not preaching the true gospel Following Christ is something that even a non-Christian can do many people are following the teachings of Jesus Christ but they are not saved because they think that those things that they are doing will merit them a home in heaven one day and that is an eternal loss that they will never recover from On the cross before Jesus gave up the ghost his last words were it is finished Jesus did the work to make us free and it is when we believe on him alone for eternal life that we are saved from eternal hell born again of his holy Spirit our righteousness is as filthy rags we must rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ for eternal life so that we do not spend eternity in hell to pay for our sins Just as the Holy Spirit draws us to him we must receive the gift of eternal life and the Holy Spirit is the one that does the work in The believer and The believer by obedience to the Holy Spirit can become a great missionary a great preacher a great wife a great husband fill in the blank as long as it is God's Will and they obey God they will be a force to be reckoned with in this world for the Lord

Such a great word. I feel for Muslims because they don't acknowleged Jesus as God. They tend to have good intentions and a high moral focused set of thinking. But they really miss the best parts of serving God which is knowing him and passionately experiencing him through all the outlets giving to us in life. Music, dancing, fashion, marriage. Islam is so sad because it is so void of love. Also I find that their is another deep desire in humanity which is to do something good to offset the evil of this world. Some people do philanthropy, give food, they talk about giving off good energy.. etc . But sometimes we replace the goodness of God ;that isn't ours to boast about or claim as ours originally, with doing good things. And there is this sadness that fills my heart for those who aren't nihilistically passively or aggressively floating through life, but are trying to ground themselves in morality but havent found it because they haven't known Jesus or have rejected him all around. There are so many intense and overwhelming created desires that were made in God's image being used for ungodly things without any justification. So sad but revival is always a day away as you point out today. God bless 💕💕

Truly He knows us better than anyone else, better than ourselves, He sees us wherever we are, and He searches for us, He calls us, until He finds us where we are, and saves us with His unending love. Don't worry..God would guide you to the right people ..ask God to help you to understand His word and He will.. from my personal experience if you want to get closer to God you have to spend time with Him..talk to Him as you like a friend but with the respect due because He is all powerful beyond our imagination and amazingly awesome.
When I first started reading the Bible I started reading from Genesis and quickly gave up. I would start with the gospels Mark is particularly good as it's nice and short.
A long time ago, I was forced to cast demons out of my husband. I did not yet have "word of knowledge"; I had to ask their names. One was "incomprehention of the Bible". He could never have used that word in a sentence-he was smart, but had only gone through 10'th grade. It is a demon!
This is a GLORIOUS testimony that brings a Fresh Fire !! I love how he has this contagious fire for CHRIST and our calling to share the gospel with all the world.! Living in a mentally abusive relationship is not living anymore. I been praying for God to get me out of this misery lord have mercy for me. Give me a sign to get out please lord please. I can remember very vividly when God told me to not get involved with this person, and I didn’t listen. Now I have a 3 year old son with him, and it’s living on egg shells with this person. At this point I just don’t know what to do anymore!
Each of us I am suffered in our spirituality. Spiritual dryness creeps in first until we become totally blind and notice we are going away by engaging in evil things in both thoughts and in deed. We can only be completely liberated if we receive Jesus, body and soul, as He said in the Scriptures. Jesus gave Himself to us in the Most Holy Eucharist, and daily when He is with us, we feel and we can say we are one with Jesus...free and liberated. Come to Him and to His Church... the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
I’m actually so excited everytime a new testimony is available to watch, constantly in awe of what God is doing in people’s lives. He brings the lost sheep home and we all get to hear about it :)

I met my husband when I was on a YWAM team going to Brazil, and I told the Lord that I don't want to go back to Brazil. Well here I am, 4 years later, married to a Brazilian and living in Brazil for 2 years LOL.
That's the power of the Holy Spirit, the Lord God knew us more than we know ourselves, therefore don't put up a fight just say Lord take what's left of me and do as you please.

This article has caused many to reflect on their own lives. The author is a retired writer who describes her emotions as she prepares to move into a nursing home. ------------------- I'm going to a nursing home. I have to. When you are no longer able to take care of yourself, your children are busy at work and have to take care of their own children, and no one has the time to take care of you, this seems to be the only way out. The nursing home is in good condition, with clean single rooms equipped with simple and practical electrical appliances. All kinds of entertainment facilities are availableo n site, the food is fairly delicious, the service is also very good. The environment is manicured and very beautiful, although the price is not cheap. My pension is barely able to support this. But I have my own house. If I sell it, then money is not a problem. I can spend it on retirement, and the rest will be left as an inheritance for my son. He understands very well and said to me: "your money and your property should be enjoyed by you, don't worry about us." Now I have to consider preparing to go to a nursing home. I look around my house filled with suitcases, boxes, bags, cabinets, and drawers containing all kinds of necessities, frivolities, and excesses. There are whimsical purchases, art collections, all sorts of clothing, expensive beddings, exclusive silver cutlery and gold accentuated dining sets. I like to collect. I have collected a lot of stamps and many small collections of pendants of emerald, walnut amber, and two small yellow croakers. I am especially fond of books. The bookshelves on my walls are full of books that were hardly read. There are also dozens of bottles of good foreign wine. There are full sets of household appliances; various cooking utensils, pots and pans, a treasure trove of spices, various seasonings, and loads of food staples like rice, pasta, frozen fish and meat etc. In fact the kitchen and pantry are full to the brim ! As if I had a dormitory of children to feed ! Then there are the family memorabilia. Dozens of video cassettes, obsolete tape reels, and over a 100 photo albums of great aunts, great uncles, great grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends scattered around the world. Many of them have long departed this earth and many more are in their twilight years, waiting for God to call them. I look at this huge collection of things and I'm deeply worried and sad in equal measure. The nursing home has only one room with a cabinet, a table, a bed, a sofa, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a TV, an induction cooker and a microwave oven -- all the things I will really need. There is no place to store the wealth and whimsies that I have accumulated throughout my life. At this moment, I suddenly feel that my so-called wealth is superfluous, and it doesn't belong to me. I just take a look at it, play with it, use it. It actually belongs to no one. The "wealth" I claimed as my own was only passing by. Now, it is no longer mine and these items will pass on to someone else or to somewhere else until they wear out or are destroyed. Even the house I laboured, sweated, and saved to build will not remember me. The next owners will have no idea who I am and what it meant to me. I will be no more than a shadow in the garden as they eat from the apple tree I planted and enjoy the luminous flowers I planted in "my garden" of serenity. Oh ! What a fool I have been ! I should have focused on enjoying my time here rather than constantly tinkering and labouring ! Whose palace is the Forbidden City? The Emperor thought it belonged to him, but today it belongs to the people and society. I really want to donate the things in my house, but I can’t get it done. To deal with it has now become a problem. Very few youngsters will value what I have collected. It's old junk to them. I can imagine what it will be like when my children and grandchildren face these painstakingly accumulated treasures. The clothes and bedding will be thrown away; dozens of precious photos will be destroyed; books will be sold as scrap. The mahogany furniture is not practical and will be sold at a low price or given away. So, I only picked a few favourite items. I only kept a set of pots and pans for kitchen supplies; a few books that are worth reading; a handful of teapots for tea. I took along my ID card, senior citizen certificate, health insurance card, household register, and of course a bank card. Enough! I bid farewell to my neighbours, I knelt down at the door and bowed three times and gave this home back to the world. Yes! In life, you can only sleep in one bed, live in one room. Any more of it is merely for watching and playing! Having lived a lifetime, people finally understand: we don’t really need much. Don’t be shackled by superfluous things to be happy! It's ridiculous to compete for prominence and fortune. Life is no more than ONE bed, one set of clothing, and one meal at a time. You may have ten million of these items but you can only use one at a time. *For people over 50 years old, shouldn't we think carefully about how to spend the remainder of our journey on earth? Shouldn't we be teaching our children about values that really matter? Let go of fantasies, baggage and accumulation of things that can't be eaten, worn or used everyday. Be healthy and be happy* *CULLED*

This morning I came across this testimony! I'm morning my 56 yr. old, eldist son passing! His story is very similar to this young man's! My beautiful, gifted son, even with many reaching out & multiple attempts, being baptised at 10 & 17 yrs. old kept returning to drugs & horrific sin! This ultimately distroyed his health & he has passed away! But our gracious redeemer, threw my daughter & son lead him to Christ the day before his passing! All our 45 yrs. of prayer were answered in that moment!
So if your reading this I emplore you to Never Give Up! If you have been abused, Jesus has the healing you need!

As I was reading your post it really touched my heart, I'm so sorry for your of your precious son. I'm 62 now and I never had children and I've dealt with suicide and my life being full of trauma. My parents died when I was 11 and I never had anyone who really cared about me except one brother and my sister who is still with me but she's in a nursing home right now. I'm just hoping it's not too late for me.

I was found by Jesus at 23, its been 23 years, half my life, that I've walked with Him, and through it all He's stuck with me. I heard a friend say, "I could walk away from God, but where would I go? Who could I pray to, who would hear me, who would care?" It rang so true in my heart. If I leave my Lord's side, where can I go? there is no one like Him. There is no one who loves me as He does. Wow, listening to your testimony I can relate so much. My life was much like yours, at a very young age I felt a void in my heart. I was only like 9 yo and I would tell my mom that I felt like something was missing. Just like you I came from a broken home, lots of anger between parents and I was never close to my sister. I looked for love, acceptance and satisfaction from relationships, sex and drugs - yet I was always left empty. I had went to church some growing up but never understood that it was a personal relationship with Jesus that made you a Christian. I was 19 yo when a co-worker invited me to a concert being put on by his church. The band would cover popular songs and rewrite the lyrics about God. They did a song called Scars by Papa Roach which I loved the original. And it was like Jesus reached down to me personally and said "all the love, acceptance, satisfaction and peace you are looking for is only found in me". And I accepted Jesus into my heart that night and have never been the same. I am now 36 yo married with 5 kids and pioneering a church (my husband is the pastor). I could have never imagined this life BUT God had a plan and a purpose for me!!
In 2014 I cried out to God to help me because I was being tormented by demonic entities that did not give me rest day and night. I opened a door to them through unforgiveness toward my mother whom I had a turbulent relationship with throughout my life. The poison of unforgiveness was eating at my heart and soul causing me to be bitter, sad, depressed, angry and lost. At that time I did not know much or anything about Jesus. Then one day it got too much for me to handle and I cried out to God to help me. I was desperate.
In the next few months my life began to change. I felt the presence of Jesus in my room asking me to forgive my mom, and to also forgive myself because I too caused much hurt. Coming from a Jewish background, it was almost taboo to speak about Him. During the time of my unforgiveness and bitterness I was being harassed by demonic spirits that I could not see but I could sense. They caused me to have sleep paralysis, be depressed, angry and kept me up at night. One day someone had dropped off a flier at my door and I just took it and put it by my bed, not thinking too much about it. Then in the evening when I was feeling so down, my eyes glanced over this flier and there was a scripture about the love of Jesus. It was a short and to the point scripture verse but the words were so powerful, my soul knew it was the truth. And when I read those words, they penetrated through all the pain and confusion and there was a glimmer of hope beginning to bubble up in me. So during my sleep paralysis, I heard a voice inside my spirit telling me to pray to “Jesus Christ, Yeshua”. I could not move my body or my mouth, but as the words “Help me Jesus, Help me Yeshua '' formulated in my mind, whatever entity was pinning me down to the bed lifted off immediately and I was able to move again. I ran outside and called my husband on the phone crying because I had never experienced anything like this. This began my journey with the Lord. He spoke to me in my spirit and told me to “Arise” out of bed when I was so down and depressed. He showed me that there is hope and His name is powerful. It was a process and a journey of sanctification and as I began reading about Jesus, and his life, the more I fell in love with Him. I knew He is the Messiah our people (the Jewish people) had denied for so long. I still did not have a bible at that time and did not give my life to Him at that point, because I just didn't know what I needed to do to be saved. During this time of being unsaved, the devil tempted me in so many ways and I ended up committing sins that were atrocious and an abomination. BUT GOD ALMIGHTY, JESUS CHRIST did not give up on me. In 2015 I felt His presence even stronger and I began repenting of my past sins and the Lord began closing doors that needed to be closed and opening new doors that needed to be opened in my life. In December of 2016 I felt in my spirit the Lord speaking to me asking me to get baptized and to get a Bible and to start reading His Word. And I obeyed. After I was baptized and received the Holy Spirit, I began to be guided into all truth. Things I was oblivious to previously as being sinful, God was showing me through the Holy Spirit that I was deceived and I needed to let them go so I could serve Him. Couple of examples were the participation in Halloween and doing yoga. As a saved believer, I could no longer participate in these demonic occult practice. It was like a sharp sword of conviction in my heart.
I LOVE the Lord so much because He transformed my heart and life completely and in such a gentle loving Fatherly way. I am a completely different person today than I was 10 years ago because of His Love for me. I desire to please Him and to obey Him and to spend one day in eternity with Him. He gave His life for me and for many people and He wants to save us from being separated from Him for eternity and from going to the pits of Hell. I just give Him the Glory, Honor, Power and Blessings for the miracles He has done in my life and the miracles He can and wants to do in every person's life. To God be the Glory. Amen

Being here and not being able to feel his love is so traumatizing to us so we are constantly seeking for his love because it is like nothing that this world can offer. I feel like the world has grown so acceptable of things that are not right smoking drinking and other stuff that kids grow up with a mindset of it’s okay to do this and to fit in with others, following Christ and being a Christian is the complete opposite and they think that it will make them seem weird or not normal to follow Jesus, I’ve been there done that and being close to him is 10x better than any drug or any amount of alcohol

Beautiful testimony. It is good that more and more people are coming back to the Lord. The world has turned away from God and we have to bring more people to the Lord before his second coming. The young today have no purpose in life because they don't know Jesus and resort to ungodly things and ultimately end their lives.

This!! When I first experienced God, I saw all the misery my friends were led into so I shared gospel with them but was too intense and pushy in my way. I've now given up the earlier ways but I have this deep love and acceptance towards them that I can't give up.

Wonderful testimony! I can identify with him. Sometimes you need to get very lost before being found. No matter how far down the pit you are Jesus can rescue you. Don’t underestimate his power. No drugs, sex, money and beauty can take his place. If you want to find the light get addicted to Jesus.
Interesting testimony. When he says that other people went to jail instead of him, I think he doesn’t realize that a lot of people get saved by Jesus in jail. Jesus knows what he’s doing and what each person needs to direct their lives to him.

Jesus did the work to make us free and it is when we believe on him alone for eternal life that we are saved from eternal hell born again of his holy Spirit

Just as the Holy Spirit draws us to him we must receive the gift of eternal life and the Holy Spirit is the one that does the work in The believer and The believer by obedience to the Holy Spirit can become a great missionary a great preacher a great wife a great husband fill in the blank as long as it is God's Will and they obey God they will be a force to be reckoned with in this world for the Lord

I feel for Muslims because they don't acknowleged Jesus as God. They tend to have good intentions and a high moral focused set of thinking. But they really miss the best parts of serving God which is knowing him and passionately experiencing him through all the outlets giving to us in life.
Music, dancing, fashion, marriage. Islam is so sad because it is so void of love.
Also I find that their is another deep desire in humanity which is to do something good to offset the evil of this world. Some people do philanthropy, give food, they talk about giving off good energy.. etc . But sometimes we replace the goodness of God ;that isn't ours to boast about or claim as ours originally, with doing good things. And there is this sadness that fills my heart for those who aren't nihilistically passively or aggressively floating through life, but are trying to ground themselves in morality but havent found it because they haven't known Jesus or have rejected him all around.
There are so many intense and overwhelming created desires that were made in God's image being used for ungodly things without any justification. So sad but revival is always a day away as you point out today.

When I first started reading the Bible I started reading from Genesis and quickly gave up. I would start with the gospels Mark is particularly good as it's nice and short.
A long time ago, I was forced to cast demons out of my husband. I did not yet have "word of knowledge"; I had to ask their names. One was "incomprehention of the Bible". He could never have used that word in a sentence-he was smart, but had only gone through 10'th grade. It is a demon!

Living in a mentally abusive relationship is not living anymore. I been praying for God to get me out of this misery lord have mercy for me. Give me a sign to get out please lord please. I can remember very vividly when God told me to not get involved with this person, and I didn’t listen. Now I have a 3 year old son with him, and it’s living on egg shells with this person. At this point I just don’t know what to do anymore!

Each of us I am suffered in our spirituality. Spiritual dryness creeps in first until we become totally blind and notice we are going away by engaging in evil things in both thoughts and in deed. We can only be completely liberated if we receive Jesus, body and soul, as He said in the Scriptures. Jesus gave Himself to us in the Most Holy Eucharist, and daily when He is with us, we feel and we can say we are one with Jesus...free and liberated. Come to Him and to His Church... the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Woohoo YWAM! I got so excited when I heard you say, "YWAM". I met my husband when I was on a YWAM team going to Brazil, and I told the Lord that I don't want to go back to Brazil. Well here I am, 4 years later, married to a Brazilian and living in Brazil for 2 years LOL.
That's the power of the Holy Spirit, the Lord God knew us more than we know ourselves, therefore don't put up a fight just say Lord take what's left of me and do as you please.

This article has caused many to reflect on their own lives. The author is a retired writer who describes her emotions as she prepares to move into a nursing home.

I'm going to a nursing home. I have to. When you are no longer able to take care of yourself, your children are busy at work and have to take care of their own children, and no one has the time to take care of you, this seems to be the only way out.
The nursing home is in good condition, with clean single rooms equipped with simple and practical electrical appliances. All kinds of entertainment facilities are availableo n site, the food is fairly delicious, the service is also very good. The environment is manicured and very beautiful, although the price is not cheap.
My pension is barely able to support this. But I have my own house. If I sell it, then money is not a problem. I can spend it on retirement, and the rest will be left as an inheritance for my son.
He understands very well and said to me: "your money and your property should be enjoyed by you, don't worry about us."
Now I have to consider preparing to go to a nursing home. I look around my house filled with suitcases, boxes, bags, cabinets, and drawers containing all kinds of necessities, frivolities, and excesses. There are whimsical purchases, art collections, all sorts of clothing, expensive beddings, exclusive silver cutlery and gold accentuated dining sets.
I like to collect. I have collected a lot of stamps and many small collections of pendants of emerald, walnut amber, and two small yellow croakers.
I am especially fond of books. The bookshelves on my walls are full of books that were hardly read.
There are also dozens of bottles of good foreign wine. There are full sets of household appliances; various cooking utensils, pots and pans, a treasure trove of spices, various seasonings, and loads of food staples like rice, pasta, frozen fish and meat etc. In fact the kitchen and pantry are full to the brim ! As if I had a dormitory of children to feed !
Then there are the family memorabilia. Dozens of video cassettes, obsolete tape reels, and over a 100 photo albums of great aunts, great uncles, great grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends scattered around the world. Many of them have long departed this earth and many more are in their twilight years, waiting for God to call them.
I look at this huge collection of things and I'm deeply worried and sad in equal measure. The nursing home has only one room with a cabinet, a table, a bed, a sofa, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a TV, an induction cooker and a microwave oven -- all the things I will really need.
There is no place to store the wealth and whimsies that I have accumulated throughout my life.
At this moment, I suddenly feel that my so-called wealth is superfluous, and it doesn't belong to me. I just take a look at it, play with it, use it. It actually belongs to no one. The "wealth" I claimed as my own was only passing by. Now, it is no longer mine and these items will pass on to someone else or to somewhere else until they wear out or are destroyed.
Even the house I laboured, sweated, and saved to build will not remember me. The next owners will have no idea who I am and what it meant to me. I will be no more than a shadow in the garden as they eat from the apple tree I planted and enjoy the luminous flowers I planted in "my garden" of serenity.
Oh ! What a fool I have been ! I should have focused on enjoying my time here rather than constantly tinkering and labouring !

I really want to donate the things in my house, but I can’t get it done. To deal with it has now become a problem. Very few youngsters will value what I have collected. It's old junk to them. I can imagine what it will be like when my children and grandchildren face these painstakingly accumulated treasures. The clothes and bedding will be thrown away; dozens of precious photos will be destroyed; books will be sold as scrap. The mahogany furniture is not practical and will be sold at a low price or given away.
So, I only picked a few favourite items. I only kept a set of pots and pans for kitchen supplies; a few books that are worth reading; a handful of teapots for tea. I took along my ID card, senior citizen certificate, health insurance card, household register, and of course a bank card. Enough!
I bid farewell to my neighbours, I knelt down at the door and bowed three times and gave this home back to the world.
Yes! In life, you can only sleep in one bed, live in one room. Any more of it is merely for watching and playing!
Having lived a lifetime, people finally understand: we don’t really need much. Don’t be shackled by superfluous things to be happy!
It's ridiculous to compete for prominence and fortune. Life is no more than ONE bed, one set of clothing, and one meal at a time. You may have ten million of these items but you can only use one at a time.
*For people over 50 years old, shouldn't we think carefully about how to spend the remainder of our journey on earth? Shouldn't we be teaching our children about values that really matter? Let go of fantasies, baggage and accumulation of things that can't be eaten, worn or used everyday. Be healthy and be happy*
