Singularity is SO SENSUAL... to say the least as we all know. I love how Taehyung just really made it so incredibly sensual with his performance when they started touring it... and then at some point, (was it for the second Love Yourself world tour?) he just straight up started showing up in a bed in the performance. I'm laughing, I'm dying, I'm loving it all 💜💜💜

I saw the last Singularity performance at Speak Yourself Seoul last year. Lol the way I would describe it was that everyone was in entranced watching Tae perform, I honestly was in awe the whole time.
somebody suggested that in this routine/vid/song he sort of "invented" the category of "homme fatale" and I feel that in this performance there is almost a bit more of that than in teh video... he so obviously is connecting truly on stage even tho he is so good flirting with camera etc... just absolutely gorgous
If I recall correctly the reason they have faster paced dancing in certain parts is due to the lyrics. The song is basically him examining a performer’s stage persona vs the real self. I think the faster parts of the routine express the persona part of the lyrics where he was “performing” and the slower parts are reflective of the true self.
Much of the hand work and expressions is developed by Tae and he changes them up during different performances. Even the way he throws the mask changes. He says he's always trying to keep the performance fresh.
Tae is my other bias and he is absolutely spectacular in this. His voice is outstanding. This is my favorite song of his. His dancing is really wonderful too, he went from not being on the dance line to being moved up to a Lead Dancer. He is also the one who learns choreo the fastest. His work in Dynamite was also amazing, he really is talented!!

I was lucky enough to see this preform live in concert. The version I saw the stage is much darker and you can't see the dancers holding the mask. They changed it because it was a little too dark but I feel like it worked well.

Tbh, this is my least likable version of this dance choreo. Even the M/V is better. And, yes, there are segments of the dance where he dances faster than what you think the music calls for yet hits the beats despite it. You have to know the lyrics & the "analyzed" meaning behind it to understand the "whys" of it. No choreo or music-to-lyrics is simply *random* with BTS. There's always a higher meaning to it. The M/V has many visual Easter Eggs that the Army fandom love to pick apart. But, you simply have to watch this choreo straight to truly enjoy it and this particular version has too many closeups of V that cutout the dance moves that are so impressive and tell the full story of the song. =/ I mean, I guess Army want to see his face, and I can understand that, but if you want to comment on the dancing alone, that's not gonna cut it. lol.
honestly i watch this particular performance more for his etherally perfect face and facial expression than for the choreography. I've never seen someone who looked that good while dancing, it's like if he is some kind of anime character.
