+JaymzIsUS are you basing that on this video, or have you seen his actual reviews? him and count jackula are pretty funny, but more importantly have good taste and insight into the movies.
Do people understand that the majority of the people involved in making these movies are actually satanists? I really don't know if this is common knowledge or not.
The Horror Guru - 25% - Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. 25% - The Douche from "Crazy Ira and the Douche" from Parks and Recreation. 25% - What Mainstream Society imagines wrestling fans to truly be like. 25% - The worst parts of a RUclips comment string. Everything, from the emphasis on the ending of every sentence, and drawing out words like, "until," and "hotel," completely drew me out of the video. I can't praise Brian Zane enough, his videos have been endlessly entertaining and after seeing this I have a new appreciation for him. This is the only video I have disliked.
JohnACorp782 You said "nobody wanted to see". The WWE made a shitload of money off of it. And what make a slasher movie good? The "slashing". That's one of the reasons I don't watch slasher movies, because they usually feature stupid characters, a predictable story, no logic, but a lot of sadistic murder scenes. If you're ok with that, I guess See No Evil is a good film for you. Many people seem to shit on WWE movies because they are WWE. But some of them are ok, if you are into that genre.
Man, that Horror Guru, the way he speaks is just ridiculous. It's like he's not actually comfortable in front of a camera so he's overperforming and overpronunciating and it's especially jarring in comparison to Brian's more down to earth often relatively calm and collected analysis. Dropped by but I'm gonna have to check out I think. Sorry. (And that's not to take anything away from the Horror Guru. Maybe it's the whole point of his act, and either way he's got his own fanbase, so it clearly works for some people. It's just not my thing.)
Brian, I love your channel. It's part of my daily routine. even if I'm rewatching some of my favorite videos, it's very refreshing and entertaining show. keep up the good work brother. I'm a huge fan. -Eddie
I remember when that may 19th gimmick first started and I was a kid and thought they were going to have him think he got burned again and return to the mask.
By horror standards, this movie was actually pretty fun. Cellphone kill and the overall gore was neat for a WWE flick. As an overall slasher, it was fine. The sequel however is a different story...
Have you ever dared to read the novelization? It's actually, and rather surprisingly, quite entertaining though you do feel whoever wrote it has read more screenplays than books
I remember parts of the movie. I actually thought Kane was great as Jacob Goodnight. Don't know why a sequel was needed though. No one asked for it. Hey, Brian, are you gonna a whole video about the May 19th storyline? I'd love to see you dissect the storyline from beginning to end.
+Wrestling With Wregret I figured that. I just thought it'd be interesting to see you go more in-depth about the storyline, your feelings at the time and your feelings now since it's been 10 years. But, you already did that. That's ok.
I think WWE wanted to renact the whole "Kane good guy rapist" thing in this movie, but halfway through they they decided "nope, let's make it a religious tatoo fetish"
Man... "May 19th" was one of the biggest running jokes between me and my close friends for a *very* long time... I always wondered if anyone else remembered it. Like, as well as I did. So stupid...
Wrestling with Wregret has to be the best channel in RUclips for any genuine wrestling fan. In terms of having the right variety of production, it's light years ahead of WhatCulture, a channel that now consists of a bunch of vain degenerates who are all about producing irrelevant 'Top 10s' and garnering views from the casual fans.
If Brian ever does See No Evil 2 he should collaborate with Dead Meat. James occasionally makes wrestling references and more importantly his voice doesn’t make you want to bash your head into a wall
I had never even heard of the "horror guru" until now... can I go back to not knowing about him? he ruin's this video nearly every time he open's his mouth.
"it was really convoluted and stupid and wasted a lot of time" Glenn Jacobs has been quite the soldier for WWE, but I think this statement could really be used to sum up his career, he's been forced to be a part of so much shit
i cant believe its already been ten years. i remember when see no evil came out. i havent watched wrestling with wregrets whole video yet. so i dont know what his opinion on it will be. i personally really liked see no evil.
I actually genuinely liked Scorpion King. I admit to being biased though since the mythos of it and the time period is very much my thing. But I mean yeah it had subpar CGI but part of that is just the time. And yeah it mixed serious action with comedy and I get that that's not everybody's jam but people call Joss Whedon a genius for that. Oh yeah and Kelly Hu. *Drolls*
The Horror Guru was the best guest you could get BZ? I would have tried to get Phelous back, or someone else other than this guy. Like The Death Twitch or Brad Jones. But that's just me personally. I love your videos but I could not stand the horror guru. His schtick was annoying and his line delivery was so fake and forced it was nearly impossible to sit through. You did the best you could and I commend you for that. But no offense...The Horror Guru's scenes were as hard to watch for me as The Love Guru was. And that's saying a lot. As for the film itself? I actually don't mind it. I think it's rather decent. It's one of the few WWE films I actually like. It's not perfect, but I can have fun with it. I thought Kane did a good job as the killer Jacob Goodnight as well. The sequel is ten times worse. Good concept for a video but I honestly wish you just did it yourself, minus the special guest.
Sounds like Phelous (who I can barely stand) mixed with Brad Jones. If someone's going to go to the trouble of writing & producing their own material you'd think they'd use a more original delivery.
I can't be the only person that was a little intrigued by the Fake Kane angle. Admittedly, I had just gotten into wresting after WM 22 and I was a little cherub at the time, I thought there was potential. I think the worst thing about it was how they randomly dropped it.
"We'll be here until Wrestlemania 40."
"I wonder if Roman Reigns will be over with the fans at that point."
Prophetic.
I was just about to comment this
👏
I thought the exact same thing loo
A huge foreshadowing
Yup!
What’s crazy is the WrestleMania 40 remark and that while a year out from this comment he is over as all hell, perfect timing
Horror Guru's got one of those "try too hard" voices that corrodes your brain upon hearing it.
completely agree
+thatonedrewguy He is trying to sound like Brad Jones...and failing hard.
I feel like a dick. but he's doing the Trey Parker movie trailer voice. If he dropped that, it'd do him a favor.
+thatonedrewguy "Rob Schneider is ... a stapler" haha I thought the same thinh
he's like the fake avgn guy that arin does
The guest reminds me of the radio hosts from the you're getting old of South Park
Lol that's what thought as well
All I can hear when he talks is "Rob Schneider derp de derp!"
@@JasperTheFriendlyGoth it's astonishing isn't it?
@@JasperTheFriendlyGoth rated pg 13
The Horror Guru sounds like a voice Trey Parker would do on South Park
I'm just waiting for him to say Rob Schneider is a carrot
@@chayden153 Rated PG 13
@@arvindshastry1178 Rob Schneider sucks
The true horror of this film is having to listen to The Horror Gurus annioyngly forced reading-voice.
+Emma's back did you say ouch because you're broken?
+NostalgiNorden Oh it's true! It's damn true!
+NostalgiNorden He sounds like Arin's parody of Mike Matei.
+LRWS in see no evil rob snider finds out a derp a derp a derp isn't as simple as it seems
+Adopted Aiden, "I'd buy that for a dollar!"
That mobile phone scene should be shown before films- "Turn your mobile phone off, or Kane will make you eat it!"
I don't know whether that WrestleMania XL comment aged well or poorly.
Ah, yes, back when Kane could still be marketed as a scary, intimidating figure. Corporate Kane isn't scaring anybody ever.
Which one of these characters was Katie Vick again?
+Ryusuta all of them.
+Thomas Jenkins XD
+Ryusuta Honestly, I'd rather be a mannequin than watch that horrible movie
+Ryusuta the blonde
+Universe Arcana your trying to hard
I seriously can't take Guru's puker voice. Good review though.
9:07 He was finally over by Wrestlemania 37 😎 Three years ahead of schedule
12:05 *insert Heath Ledger joker line: 'very poor choice of words*drop*hahahahahahaha'
Why did I read this as Heath Slater?
The Horror Guru sounds kinds like the "Rob Scnider" announcer voice from that one episode of South Park.
Horror guru's trying way too hard to sound like cinema snob.
The guest sounds like a parody of every reviewer ever. Like too much of a parody
+Kokiri Rory
He's the angriest -gamer- horror film watcher you've ever heard.
+Kokiri Rory He Sounds like Nostaligia Critic mixed with everyones AVGN ripoff impression. Except they are funny.
+Kokiri Rory Go watch GameGrumps Mickey Mouse video. Their parody sounds exactly like this guy.
+JaymzIsUS are you basing that on this video, or have you seen his actual reviews? him and count jackula are pretty funny, but more importantly have good taste and insight into the movies.
For serious. He's trying way too hard and his affected voice/delivery is like agony.
I really liked the movie when I first watched it. But I think it was because I went in with low expectations. Kane was actually dope in this movie.
Kane and the setting were really the high points of the movie.
Kane made this movie
Do people understand that the majority of the people involved in making these movies are actually satanists?
I really don't know if this is common knowledge or not.
Yeah me too. I have seen way worst horror movies.
I think See No Evil 1 and 2 were great I still got them on DVD
9:05 Wrestlemania XL is upon us
16:22 And all I can think is "... She's a stunt granny."
13:37 - Theaters should play this when telling people to turn off their phones during the movie
"oooohhhh someone forgot to silence their cell phone during the movie!" - I died.
Well that line about roman being over by Wrestlemania 40 takes on a new meaning 😂
The "One plus two plus one" thing by Tim Curry in Clue was AMAZING...... I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that.
This movie is pure gold comparing to the other shit that came later.

I figured that.
I just thought it'd be interesting to see you go more in-depth about the storyline, your feelings at the time and your feelings now since it's been 10 years.

That's right. All it takes to get a thumbs up from me is a 3 second Clue reference. Bravo, sir.
It's ok Brian, these dislikes are coming for the horror guru. He is literally just reading off hidden cue cards and his voice is annoying af.
"Aww yeah double chokeslam...oh my god this isn't a wrestling match"

9:27 He got over sooner 😂😂

I'd bet anything that it was Vince McMahon's idea for the dog to piss in Kane's eye.
Don't understand why u have guests with back & forth cuts. They do nothing but make your vids worse
You thought this was bad? Check out the sequel. I can at least tolerate this one.
would of been much better without the horror guru
i cant believe its already been ten years. i remember when see no evil came out. i havent watched wrestling with wregrets whole video yet. so i dont know what his opinion on it will be. i personally really liked see no evil.
To me the movie was pretty good. KANE is a lot better as a monster in horror movies as well as a wrestler.
Jesus this was 10 years ago? Holy hell
Brian Zane, this is awesome!!
Wrestling With Wregret is one of the few shows that I get excited for a new video.
Also how big is Brian Cage?
big
I didn't actually mind this movie
I'm sorry but every time one of these special guest come on they usually are very cringe worthy!
+Brian Cruz Yeah the only good ones are Adam Blampied,Jim Cornette, and the World Famous Flea Market crew.
+Super Mastodon I thought The Whole Fuckin' Show did a good job as well, though it was more of a cameo.
