I want to sound like you ! Any idea how open your mouthpiece is after your special modification ?
Any idea which commercially available mouthpieces might be as open as yours? I think the breath escaping from the mpc makes your clarinet sound sublime. Gives the clarinet extra gravitas...well done....one of my favorite clarinet pieces on you tube.

Hey Uri Ben-Gal, thanks for your comment, just seeing this. My piece is very open, it actually around 0.95' which is comparable to Alto or even Tenor sax pieces. Not sure if such an opening is available commercially. That with the hard reed gives me that breathy tone, that I like- and some people may dislike this too, so different sound properties and qualities for different taste:-))))

Thanks! This is a Vandoren that I customized with larger tip opening than regular.

@@zulfjazz and that...along with close mic placement is why there is so much hiss in the sound.
In actual stage performance you wouldnt hear it.
But...softer reed would help for close mic version
      And...which vandoren?...

@@think2023 it was B45, but now it has nothing "vandoren" left in it since it's completely reconstructed with around 0.95' tip. Yes softer reed would help with air sound if desired, but this is the type of sound I like.

@@zulfjazz Ill bet the baffle was modified too.
But those old B45 can sound great with a good reface. Same is true of original vintage Buffet pieces (chedeville blank)
