- Most people end up baking a cake which has a cracked surface. This may occur due to many reasons such as excess batter in tin, additional baking powder and baking soda added to the batter, cakes baked at very high temperature.
prevent cracks by:
1. Splitting the batter in equal amounts and baking them in separate tins
2. Use correct amount of baking powder and baking soda ( 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda for 1/2 kg cake)
Chocolate cake:(1/2 kg)
Maida - 1 1/4 cup
cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 3/4 cup
egg - 2
refined oil - 1/4 cup (60 ml)
milk - 1/2 cup(110 ml)
vanilla essence - 1 tsp
baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Are you taking class in Madurai?my butter paper melted... Why?
I do take baking classes .. send a message to my instagram page @rottikadai for details.. there is no chance for butter paper to melt...if it did melt try getting butter paper from other brand

Coating is different in both ... parchment paper is coated mostly with silicone while butter paper is coated with natural wax... parchment paper can withstand high heat..

Make sure you used butter paper and not wax paper!

Let’s see whether I understood correctly. Split the batter into two tins and bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes and the cake turned out fine. Using just one same-sized tin with the same amount of batter and bake at 180 degrees but for 40 minutes, the cake cracked at the top. Correcta?

prepare one batch at a time and bake. Then freshly prepare another batch. You must not prepare batter and store.

If you over bake your cakes then it would become dry.. the cake would become dry even if the amount of dry ingredients is higher than the wet ingredients...so it is important to maintain the ratio of dry and wet ingredients 😊I have given the proper recipes of cakes and you can follow them if you wish

Same here I too have IFB 30brc2 connection microwave oven. I did three cakes. Two in convection mode and one in micropower level mode. The top layer is cracked and black and overbaked in both the cakes. Then I learnt, we need to less the temperature. Always we need to preheat at 180c and we need to bake at 160c ( timing 20 - 30 minutes or check with a toothpick but don't open the door till 20 minutes ) The cake which I did in micropower level mode was so good !!!!
