Hi Jennifer. Good for you for treating yourself to the 2024 Imagine creation. The cuff looks so good on you! I have been thinking about the fragrance since an SA I don't even know pulled me aside from a crowd of shoppers in a busy store to show me this year's creation. The question I have for you is: when you finish your 30ml spray bottle will you use the main bottle to dab the fragrance on each time you use it, or will you refill your 30ml bottle and seal the 125ml bottle until it is time to refill your 30ml again? The reason I ask is because I have seen people dab on Gourmand Coquin for example, as a nice ritual. I bought GC from Europe last year and I am afraid to leave the 125ml bottle unsealed because I think that air will get in and start to cut down the shelf life of the fragrance. Like you, I have so many fragrances and don't want my special ones to go bad prematurely. Would love to know your thoights.
I don't know if this counts as luxury but the Barbara Sturm advent calendar this year is so great! The actual component is really great quality and well designed. The products inside are all excellent and products that people would want to use - i.e. serums, moisturizers, eye cream, etc., so the value is amazing. Product value is truly worth over 3x the cost of buying the products alone. The advent calendar includes a full size hyaluronic serum. I was going to buy that product anyway. The price of the advent calendar with 23 additional products costs less than the price of me purchasing two of the hyaluronic serums, and includes another full sized eye serum, which costs the same as the hyaluronic serum. So the cost of the advent calendar is less than the cost of two of the 24 products included inside. Barbara Sturm isn't fancy but the products are so effective. Plus I got it during the Sephora Savings Event which made it the best "deal".
Jennifer Behr has 30% off their site right now. I'm not sure if it includes the Czarina, or if that is an exception. I picked up a few products that I wanted on sale. Her headbands are expensive but they stay in perfect condition forever and dont hurt my head or give me headaches. Honestly, I have been chased down to ask where my headband is from. That's how nice her headbands are. I dont think that something like that would happen in the UK, but still it tells you how much her headbands stand alone. Jennifer I would LOVE to see you wear your blue headband in a video sometime. I have never seen that headband in blue--must be stunning. I just picked up the Tori satin headband in navy.

I'm happy I picked up the Armani advent calendar for myself. Of course I watched spoilers 😂but I got it at 30% and it looks very pretty all red and gold. I actually don't own any Armani make up nor fragrances so while I'm sure it's not a great deal money wise for me I think it's gonna bring joy. Also got 2 travel size perfumes in very pretty 15 ml bottles Aqua di Gio and Si Passione and I like them! 😊I didn't really like any parfums I tried in store this year so that's a lovely surprise. I bought a bunch of wool scarfes for my family when I visited York in October 😅it was a store specialised in Scottish wool goods and I spent an hour looking through 30 + scarf patterns and colours... They better like them
IMO expensive headbands or luxury fashion jewellery is stuff that the woman needs to buy herself. Some young women get Christmas money. I may be out of touch but a $400 gift does not look routine to me.
So while Guerlain may use the same "recipe" from year to year and from batch to batch, the outcome may vary based on the ingredients available!! It's kinda like making chocolate chip cookies, you will always use the same recipe but the ingredients are sourced from different vendors, the ovens will effect cooking and cooling etc etc etc!! So while there is always noise in the fragrance world about formula changes or updates, fragrances just may differ from batch to batch and especially those with the natural ingredients!!
