Remember aspiring producers, Sam is a gifted pianist. Those lush, otherworldly, complex chords/keys you are trying to figure out are from composition. When you master the art of playing the piano you'll unlock thousands of rhythms and patterns that clicking random shit in FL can't get you. Sam has an ear and the skill set to play out the dopest shit in his head. Learn them keys bwoi.
you dont have to learn piano in order to put in fl studio whatever you want, but it helps. if you just understand the piano and music theory in general you can create more interesting things than if you just put the time into it, and do some trial and error. being a good pianist is a big plus tho
True, but to be an artist like Sam developing that ear for complex compositions and applying patterns from various genres, you'll surely come up with compositions that are above your peers and will surely be in a top category. Also, I think Sam might be in a unique spectrum as well, He and Pharrell both have synesthia which I believe is how they make such unique sounds. Genius types.
disagree, but it can def help alot of people. so many great electronic musicians that have no classical training disprove this
Deadmau5 don't play keys bwoi, hush
Dog I’ve been playing piano for 15 years, he’s not playing anything crazy chord wise. It’s the structure and synths that make his songs go crazy.
I'm convinced Sam is a low-key gatekeeper of future electronic music
high key
Mohammed Sheraz listen to the objekt album that just came out
ABSOLUTELY.
Yeah
Fr you couldn’t have said it any better
It's funny seeing people "uninstalling ableton" and not understanding it's the guy behind the machine making the music - he could use whatever DAW and create fire. You buying a copy of FL is not going to guarantee you shit.
so keep saying #Flgang, I bet you make trash
Igloo ghost killed it on Reason, the DAW really don’t matter it’s how you use it
met hundreds of people who switched from fl to ableton. know like 2 who did the opposite lol
#FLgang
Don't h8 m8 appreci8
I'm convinced Sam G would have been a historic composer if he was born in like 1704, this is the modern equivalent
hes already historic
Yup
bro that’s crazy cause i have been calling him the mozart of our generation, closest thing to it for sure
That’s also what I think about Deadmau5, because of some of his genius melodies.
dude this is pure mastery
I see u gami
Dude honestly I'm sorta convinced my brain and his just work so differently and that's why I can't make music in his style without ripping his tracks off exactly how they sound.
Sample pack finally out now folks: boilerroom.tv/crowdsourced-sample-pack
+ new fb page for any updates etc: facebook.com/brcrowdsourced
get monte booker on this asap
facts!
Sam g is definitely my favorite producer. I've always wanted to see his workflow. This is so sick!
This made me feel better about using FL Studio the last 10 years when everyone else was switching to Ableton.
This is literally the best that production gets, everything else doesnt compare, dont feel bad if you cant amount to this level of work,
ChocolateBlitz Iglooghost is a better producer
This is really good. But in no universe the best
@@lmao-ev6nz better sound designer. better producer of music overall? thats debatable.
I feel there are lots of producers that are as good as Sam. But the thing is that they are good in different ways. For example, Jacob Collier and Koan Sound come to mind. Imo these two producers don't even compare to each other as their music even differs from each other.
objekt brothers
This is beyond amazing, innovative and glorious to say the least.
damnn boiler room out here throwin hands

I think WIZE wrote it, but I don't know the name...
I need this intro
Would be amazing to see Lapalux on this :O
How does everything already sound pristine when he is composing his magic? He's not really mixing the stuff. It all gels and sits perfect in the mix from the get go? What's the master bus or whatever he's doing?
Anyone here?
10:06 comment is truth for those who know!

are these samples available to download?
this is a great concept, but some how the boiler room manage to make it really really confusing
It’s supposed to be entertaining, not informative on how to copy Sam’s technique.
What is everything he's using?
Anyone knows what reverb he's using?
What program are they using ?
What is that beat in the beginning with the animation?

16:20 :o

Need the intro track
I saw the notice about this episode seeming basic? hell naw. This production was insane! Dude took so many noises and made his own sound out of it in like 3 seconds. Magical. Fuck the haters.
haha i'm dumb
next guest someone of dubstep og's please!
Bruh is that fuckin wize talking!?
Someone should have told that dude "narrating" bro to shut up or at least in the edit just mute him. BRO! BRUV! WHAT IS HE DOIN' BRUV! BRO! Really great contributions.
5:20
Gonna need you to put some respect on Wize the producer's name. He is literally on the coldest producers in the world.
So the ‘underground’ brand/grift that started out priding itself on being exclusionary is now pretending it’s accessible and for everyone?
Could have done without wize talking. Have Sam himself talk.
What would u called this type of music? Soft Dubstep?
The Host really need to shut up when Sam is doing something creative ,that is really helpless and annoying.
By the way, thank you boiler room.
Gonna need you to put some respect on Wize the producer's name. He is literally on the coldest producers in the world.
The host was kinda annoying
Gonna need you to put some respect on Wize the producer's name. He is literally on the coldest producers in the world.

Synth-E-Sam strikes again
Sam's old alias, huh?
@@pastramigirls6483 yup fantanto reviewed him ages ago
Thanks for bearing with us - wanted to have the series looking it's best before we released this one given the technical issues. Trust us though it's been burning a hole in our hard drives as Sam set the bar so nicely on this one.
Out to everyone tuning in and gettin' involved - plan to have a sample pack with all original content coming out later in the series (once it's plump 'n' juicy with plenty sounds).
release that intro bruv
What is the name of the intro song? That shit is crazy
Whens the next episode!! This series must continue
need this soon please

I was the one who had asked Sammy to use Toxic Bio rip ;_;
Get Kaytranada on here bro
He would be awesome.

Carmack, Shlohmo,Great Dane ,Herzeloyde, Tsuruda, Diversa, Sh?m , lil boat, Geotheory , Fleece, Cavalier, Capshun ,hati, brothel, diplo skrillex rick ross bob marley
14:20 Chromonicci as well
@frigus I think Chromonicci sounds original enough, his tracks are distinctive. But I would argue rather more vairety as they also sound a bit samey. I love the soulful, funky vibe of his tracks though.
The camera is a little fuzzy, but honestly nothing to apologize over. Sammy G has a new fan, this series is going to be amazing! I like having a neat and trimmed video, but I wish there was a way to view the uncut version as well. Excited to see and hear more of this soon, really great stuff.
ruclips.net/video/NLc1_d-qqsI/видео.html < here we go - knew something was missing from the description! thanks for the kind words, hope you enjoy the other episodes too, no.5 just streamed so it'll be edit up soon too
Thanks for the link! Can't wait for the sample pack! Will you have the sample packs organized by the artists or just a large zip file dump with no organization? Will all of the submitted sounds be included? It would be great to pour over what each artist selected individually. Just my two cents. Thanks again!
Very very very good shout, goddamn crowdsourcing these ideas just now it seems haha. Thank you most kindly.
Yeah definitely wanna either have it organised into types of sound but with the submitter name on the filenames. Or have each of the submitters as a seperate folder, whichever makes most sense.
As for what it will include, we'll keep everything original and remove anything that belongs to other rightsholders - just so it's all fresh and new and aint doing anybody dirty.
whereisalex samg collab
is this an adult swim production
Mind of a madman inside the brain of a genius
