- 3minutes of attack , i heard this siren has had two unsuccessful activations so i tried my luck and hear you go . plus you can hear multiple Whelens in the background doing triple activations .
My favourite siren!
Yep. It's a 2t22B. Single phase. Most of the sirens in my area at the time (before they were replaced with Whelens) did more attack than they did alert, especially the SD-10s.
Why are fresh old sirens replaced I don’t get it. And why 2001-130’s lol
Well st peters replaced this because the 2001-130s had battery backup options and were equipped with solar panels. The 2001-130s are even louder than any other civil defense era siren
St peters Civil defense sirens (4 RSH-10Bs, 2 Thunderbolt 1000Ts, 2 2T22Bs) Had were all connected to powerlines. St peters knew they would have an issue with power failure and the old sirens breaking which is why they replaced them with 2001-130s they just wanted a solar powered siren system.
This siren has been replaced by a 2001.
It does work!
my town still has these thank God olny had to replace 3 out of 20
*UPDATE* This siren has been replaced by a 2001-130
Man, that sucks, 2t22 and 3t22 was very effective.
I thought you were at a sentry.
IT DOES WORK!
Yes my friend :), St Charles county EMA was very pleased it activated , located at Fort Zummwalt south high School
Where are you from? Im from illinois neer st louis and im buying a 2t22 tomarro and am going too do a restoration on it
Honestly the 2001-130 probably packs more of a loudness effect than the 2T22.
It does work
