- Using my Find my Boat Anchor Phone ap, I found these great antique receivers stored in an attic, forgotten, abandoned, misfit, unloved, until I discovered and rescued them from their fate. Now, they are in a loving home, warm, glowing again.
Whoa, they look as if they came straight out of Mr Carlson's Lab! Funny episode :)

Good theme song choice. The "Man from U.N.C.L.E." was written by Jerry Goldsmith. Something interesting about it is that it changed each year. As time went on, it moved more and more toward a jazz style.

there's nothing like a boat anchor hunting and finding the vintage radio. thanks for all of the tips on fixing these old radios I'll put that knowledge to work here in the house of radios.

when ever I go to a garage or estate sale I always ask "any old radios?" got some amazing things that way like a marantz 2385 tuner amp (500watts)in like new condition for 5 bucks. a fisher 400 all tube fm receiver amplifier in like new condition for free. sold the 2 of them for 500 cash to a guy who came to my garage sale and saw them on the shelf. I know ebay says more but I took 495 dollars easy profit as ok with me. I have so much better stuff that those were just shelf reserve. ever heard of
Acrosound ultra linear 2 amplifiers, macintosh C22 audio preamp/switcher. sl-d2 turn table. leak stereo 20 and RCA MX7 tuner/amp all that stuff and lots more free. its fun collecting. I am enjoying your vlog.

one of my neighbors gave me a lovely nc173 with matching speaker AND the hard to find wedge that goes under the receiver. it worked so good I did nothing to it at all.

it is funny how we can get these for next to nothing, and then some people want a million bucks for an actual boat anchor of a radio that hasnt worked since 1962 and has been in a wet basement the whole time! I love when I find these ol clean deals!
If there are comments that I can't stand, it's the one's people complaining about how they lost this amount of time of their life watching this kind of video. Heck their are videos posted on youtube that are way longer and waste even more time. Short videos are nothing compared to the rest out there. Heck fast forward thru them for crying out loud and save YOUR time, cause you might need every minute of it when YOUR older!!!

nice like new radios i shouldve got a national 2 meter am base that was for sale in the local ham store that sold new and used radio parts and used radios where i got my first drake twins tx4 and r4 plus they sold used recharged tubes and some military surplus since the army and navy bases werent far from the place
