I haven’t decided which range of age, I want to coach (kids to Adults (probably 5-7 age, i think for a first start, right? what do you think of it? please)).
here’s my plan because i have no experience and no degree in English education. I have decided to pass the TEFL 5 200hours (TEFL org) to dip toes in english teaching in general, in the meantime i will improve my english in this field, try to reach a good level of B2 (my grammar is close to just need some speaking practice) to C1 level, to pass cambridge B2 or C1 following my current level at this period and jump in passing the CELTA for more profound and solid pillars. what’s your stand on it ? your truly thoughts. I’ve already passed some English tests through TEFL company and i have some level varations between B2 or C1 but there are more focused on writing and my speaking doesn’t have the same level. is it because we don’t need to talk with a tutor or teach a class to be assess during the TEFL courses? did you need to teach students to be assess? I know that you might probably be telling yourself “what this french woman is telling 😂 she isn’t an English native with no degree as well as no teaching experiences however she wants to coach”, that sounds crazy to me too because it’s not my field but i want to do for multiple reasons (proudness in myself, feelings of wanting to coach (french or others 😃 countries)and Encourage them to love and learn English so many people, i had talked before told me school experiences with a foreign language was catastrophic. I just want to cheer them up, i feel that way in my heart but i’m afraid it can’t be done. I just need the truest advice from someone who knows this situations well, except that you are an English native speaker but some tips would be a game-changer. thank you again
I studied to be a Spanish teacher before I became an ESL teacher. I’m not a Spanish native speaker, so I know how you feel. In the US you are only required to have a B1 level of Spanish to teach it in public schools. My recommendation is to do your best to improve your level but don’t worry too much if you are teaching young kids.
if you don’t mind telling me what did you do like trainings ,degrees, experiences and so on to study to be a spanish teacher and to become an ESL teacher? please that could really help me. on what you said that in US they require you to have B1 level , is it in school like elementary school or midschoolor maybe it was a specific company to teach spanish like after school? i promise i do my best every day to be the best supportive and lovely tutor. is it easier to teach kids? than teenagers and adults?
when you passed the TEFL did you have to speak or it was only documents ,videos and quizzes? please.
i really appreciate for your advice
I can’t wait your answers and your next videos as I always watch them.
all the best.
@@enory5983 To get certified to teach Spanish in US public schools I did a degree in Spanish and got a US teaching license for Spanish. I had to do a semester of student teaching and pass an official exam called a Praxis. For teaching ESL, there are many different courses and each one is different. I did CELTA and we had to prepare lessons and teach actual students while being observed by our peers and the tutors. We also completed assignments and attended sessions to learn how to teach English. There were no exams for this course.
thank you ☺️ for your response.
I am a BBA, MBA geaduate, working as a school teacher.. I wanted to do the TEFL course, will it be worth it for me? (As I am not from a education graduate or literature graduate)
It all depends on where you want to teach. Each country has different requirements (passport, education, type of TEFL), so I would need to know a bit more to give you the best advice. You can fill out my survey listed in the video description so I can help you.
thanks a lot for your reply. I saw your survey and wanted to fill it up,but it asks for TEFL, I still haven’t got TEFL. I'm in a fix whether to do TEFL or not, as I am a business student (also TEFL is expensive, didn't want to spend money without being sure)and still hasn’t got the proper Institute (online) from where I can get the certificate.
Can you help me with these please?
I want to teach online and if possible offline as well(asian countries or any european countries)
I am from Bangladesh, so I am not a native speaker.
@@tjbbhuiyan928 my survey does not ask for TEFL. It asks IF you have a TEFL. Please fill it out so I can recommend a course for you.
Thanks , I have filled up the survey.
Hello, I am eagerly waiting for your reply of the survey I have filled up.
Hello. I am a certified and licensed Nigerian science teacher. I have gone ahead to do a free 120hr online TEFL course and I have been searching and applying for teaching jobs(preferably English)abroad but to no avail. What’s your advice please?
Free TEFL courses are not accredited for teaching abroad. I recommend investing in a quality course with teaching practice since countries will consider you a non-native speaker. You might have more luck applying to international schools as a science teacher through agencies like ISS, Search Associates, etc.
@@ESLTeacher365 thank you but would you recommend AVSE TESOL teaching internship in Vietnam?
@@Edydora I haven't heard of that program before. I recommend looking at reviews and asking to speak with alumni or current teachers.
I wish I watched this video before starting with TTA!
Why? It sounds like an easy course, and it's still recognized around the world.
@@steve9473 can you share your experience?
@@mirthacacho So far so good!!!! I am on the last assignment now. I would say overall the course is very passable. If you have any experience teaching , most of this will be review. For the amount of money that they are charging it really is a good bargain plus you get additional courses depending on what special they have.
@@steve9473I’m on the second assignment in level 5
I went through international TEFL Academy would you say those specializations will help me be more competitive when looking for a job?
The specialty courses?
@@ESLTeacher365 yes
Did you mean the specializations through The TEFL Academy?

Hello ma, i am not in usa now, I'm in the Philippines. Can i take the course online. Is it possible to finish it within 2 to 3 months? How will i get the certificate once im done.
Im planning to teach abroad,
This course can be done online. However, for non-native speakers I recommend CELTA or International TEFL Academy, not TTA.

Hi there, im south african and have a Bcom degree (postgraduate) in HR..I would like to do my tefl with the tefl academy. Is this recommended as i want to teach in saudi arabia ? Will these qualifications get me a job and visa to teach there ?? Pls help
I really need a B.ed or B.A ,or Pgce or will any degree suffice? I'm a native English speaker
Saudi Arabia prefers to hire teachers with a master’s degree and you’ll have better luck with a teaching license/ BEd. And a course like CELTA
@@ESLTeacher365 are you referring to international schools or language schools?
@@ESLTeacher365 also can I get a teaching visa with just Any degree and a tefl in saudi?
@@CODENAME417 you'll need a license/BEd for international schools and a master's is often preferred for language schools.
