Saw them live, THIS song. They played a bar here in STL right after this song came out. I'd been to tons of heavy rock concerts, NEVER saw a band play this heavy. My body still felt the bass days later. And the head banging in unison with Ass length hair...omg!
This whole album is a BEASTLY work from start to finish. No dull moments in my opinion. Images & Words is my favorite Dream Theater album, and it will give you life ❤️ Another suggestion would be Van der Graaf Generator. Either A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers or any song on the album Godbluff would be ideal to start with. Peter Hammill is a GOAT of the genre 🤘
Dream Theater what can I say, but happy hear as much as you care to try. It is really difficult to find anything in their catalogue that is less than good
When you don't stop the song during the songs a lot of times they cut the song off or give you a strike over copyright but probably not in this instant.
Now you've gotten a taste of one of the greatest prog albums ever....try "Metropolis Pt1 (The Miracle and The Sleeper)"; ruclips.net/video/IqqRx77T4Vo/видео.html
@@ericklein5927 i struggle a bit with that one, its a fine balance between technical and full on wanking and that one crosses it for me. i think "Learing to Live" is the best track on the album.
The way the song ends is to signify that it could end at any time abruptly. Like life

This is still one of my favourite Dream Theater songs!
To me , Dream Theater is Rush on steroids. Another great progressive metal band to dive into!
Wow that’s exactly the analogy I use what I describe Dream Theater to friends and people I know
Same here!!
Love this song, epic and timeless...released at a time when metal ruled the airwaves...man what a great all too short time !!!
This song is about Hamlet by Shakespeare
A View From the Top of the World and Change of Seasons are long epic masterpieces!

Additionally, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are a pretty good band as well. My suggestion would be Gamma Knife if you were to check them out.
Perfect album, absolute perfection..
GREAT album! Do every song on it....it will treat you right.
Dark Eternal Night and Constant Motion are 2 Bangers off of Systematic Chaos Album. But DT Has so Many it's hard to Pick.
Great album
It was really fresh in 1992
I believe the lyrics are based on Shakespeare's Hamlet.

💯
You should check out In The Name of God off of their Train of Thought album. Great album.
Please react to In the Name of God by Dream Theater next. Get ready!! It's very intense.
I remember this from Wii Drum Hero.....
If you think this is aggressive you should check out honor thy father on the train of thought album

That's actually how the song ends.
If you would like to react to an artist you might not have heard of, I recommend Aesthetic Perfection with Bark at the Moon
