How does Coimbatore to Coonoor Road Trip look like?

Thanks for the video. Is it a very treacherous road with lots of hair pins from Coimbatore to Coonoor ?
How about the road from Coimbatore to Mettupalayam station? Is that very winding too? And how long would that take by car ? Thanks so much

This road is not really treacherous!! Coimbatore airport to Mettupalayam is about an hour with a 40km total distance . The road to Mettupalayam is not bad.. But riding a train from Mettupalayam to coonoor or Ooty can be very much beautiful experiences as it passes by a lot of scenic sights.

It's around 3 hours. However you cannot get a direct bus from coimbatore.. you need to reach Mettupalayam , Bhavani or Chhitode first and from there you can get a bus to Connor. Mettupalayam to connoor has limited buses in the morning . However from Bhavani you can get buses at any time.

@ttb3388 Bhavani is in Chithode, near laxminagar. It's 2 hours from Coimbatore city.
It can be nearer if you are reaching from the other side of the city.
Normally people go via Mettupalayam. I have mentioned that in other messages to another buddy. But, you need to get that in the early morning only. Thus, I told you about the alternative path. It's a little longer, but the availability of buses is more and you can get it anytime.
