This channel has produced some of the best and most interesting PC content over the years. Thank you for all of the work on this project.

Thank you for doing all of the work in testing the blocks and to produce this results video!

I am happy to see alphacool's performance through these test. I plan to use the Alphacool's Core cpu block when I build my new computer and love knowing their gpu block can hold it's own. I hope they knock out new gpu blocks when the next Gen of gpus are released.

Great breakdown of the info. Short and to the point. Thanks for putting in all that work

Supertest, always the most careful reviewer that has surprisely low viewers. I love Daz since long time :-)

Looks like Heatkiller hit the sweet spot. Thanks for the testing.

It would be great to make a showcase of all of them with the emphasis on your results and observations. I would like to change EK for something better and cheaper and lighter :)

Thx for the video. Prices are nuts these days :(

Good job, as always. I can add that EK Is getting worse over time. For example, for GTX 1080 ti, they added a single-slot PCIe plate. Now I had to use original three slot plate which looks ugly!!! And the quality is not there. I have to reapply the pads because they are visible - the design of the block’s acrylic parts is not well thought out. And the weight??? Omg… it is HAEVY! I am so disappointed with this block. And remember that it won't fit everywhere. You need a space for active backplate. Overall thank you for the comparison. Keep doing what you're doing have been doing :) only you and singularity are worth watching :) thank you.

Wow what a lot of good work. I’ve been doing water blocks for a long time. It’s very tedious indeed.

IMHO 1C delta is within measurement margin of error, so there is no difference between blocks in gaming but there is some difference in rendering scenarios that use 100% GPU
Very interesting test. Alphacool core seems to be the best mix of cost-to-performance and build quality. I had an Eisblock on my 3090 but the acrylic terminal and more complex design means there are more points of faillure
I tested it compared to the Phanteks G40, and it absolutely blew the G40 out of the water. Phanteks just doesn't care about build quality and tolerences nowadays, and 1 of the 2 blocks I bought came with the wrong size pads on the memory (2mm instead of 1mm). When I reached out to them Phanteks was completely unhelpful.

Thanks for the comparison. Any chance we can expect to see results for Alphacool block with better thermal pads, not stock ones?

I will keep Heatkiller Ultra for myself, so I wont be mounting Alphacool again. Realistically only memory would benefit and Alphacool already on top of the list for memory.

"hey EK/alphacool/etc, I'm buying a 4090 to play cyber pun.... I mean to test which block is best, so send me what you have :)"

the dT of the water in/out is 100% a measurement of the effectiveness of the block, the heat absorbed by the water * the amount of water pushed through the block is the absorbed energy by the water => cooling. If a block has low flowrate it needs a higher dT to have the same effectiveness as a block with high flowrate. So you can calculate the cooling performance by those 2 factors (+the starting temp of the water).

I did this testing before Ultra was announced, but I expect larger plate to match Optimus. I ordered one for myself and will use it as my final block.

Thanks for this man! Not much surprising me except maybe the very little flow restriction with the Optimus block lol but now I finally have something to back me up when I say active on a 4090 is a waste of money but also going for the most expensive blocks thinking it will have much better cooling is totally false. I never have anything to back up what I say cause all I have is my own results and people don't know I've been doing this for years. We now have something tangible thanks to you.😁💯💯💯

When HK beat EK Active on my 3080, everyone were telling me that it is because you need 3090. So yeh, I hear you.

@DazModeWatercooling haha yeah. If you remember, I bought the Heatkiller with Active backplate from you for the FTW3. I first used it on my 3080ti and there was literally no gain haha. It made me buy a 3090 😅

@DazModeWatercooling by the way, 1 or 2 months and I'll be placing a new order. Going to grab a 360mm Alphacool distro, (hopefully with the Apex pump), 480mm radiator, bunch of tubes, coolant/cleaner and couple other things. Decided to improve my GGF V3000+ build. Bye-bye dual loop, hello single loop. Should improve aesthetics considerably and temperatures slightly. Been wanting to do it for a couple months now but these are hard times we are in still. Really want to support as much as I can.

EK is soo overrated, why are they so popular? Watercool Heatkiller FTW!!!!

    • @Dylan_Shaw

In my opinion, because they're fast. I can get an EK block day one, but a heatkiller takes 3-6 months.

@@Dylan_Shaw3-6 months? When I’ve bought stuff from watercool- they DHL Express it for blocks. Ancillary items are definitely slower but no more than 10 business days
