IHHP - Lajamanu - Harder to Live

Katherine West Health Board together with Indigenous Hip Hop Projects worked with the people of Lajamanu to develop this smoking education and prevention video clip. Written by the young people of Lajamanu NT, with the support and guidance of Traditional Owners, Elders, Leaders and Board Members of Katherine West Health Board a truly community owned health promotion resource was developed.
Bringing together messages of hope, confidence, strong culture and self-esteem was tied in with culture and language. The messages of Beyond Blue, Look, Listen, Talk & Seek Help were vital in the production. We are pleased to present this song and hope that it will inspire young people of Lajamanu and other Indigenous communities across Australia and the world!!!
